@@MultiYash4 It is one of the 8 Classical Forms of Dance of India (others being Kuchipudi, Bharathanatyam, Kathak, Odissi, Mohiniyattam, Sattriya and Manipuri) As in other similar forms - it is rules, methods, themes and steps / gestures / movements which could be applied across a wide variety of stories or songs But traditionally both Mohiniyattam and Kadhali (both from Kerala and both Classical Dance Forms) - were traditionally linked with spirituality and were performed on stories / songs from our scriptures - but there are newer takes / verses / adaptations which are not from Scriptures as well.
