The youngling scene was meant to be hard to watch, in my opinion, because that uncomfortableness can give you an idea of how hard it must’ve been for Anakin to commit the act.
Your not meant to feel uncomfortable. The darkest scene in Star Wars was in the clone wars Umbaran scene where the 501st and 212th kill each other, here we neither see the violence nor do we see the repercussions of it. Opposed to in the clone wars where we see the clones kill each other and then we see the grief of the clones for killing their own brothers. Though we know it happened the only repercussions we see to the “younglings scene” is Anakin crying afterward and Obiwan being completely bewildered we don’t even see real grief. That scene was meant to make us see how far Anakin was willing to go to save Padme as well as how far he’s come from the selfless kid he was 16 years ago.

Rating can depend on county. For me, in Australia, all of them Lucas' are PG 13 but both AotC and RotS are actually M. Even all the Disney ones are M here
Here in the states, only Revenge of the Sith has ever been rated PG-13 and it’s deeper than just the rating system. There are interview pieces slightly prior to the premier of RotS where Lucas and Rick McCalum talk about how they decided to make this the first PG-13 film because Lucas wanted to go deeper into the violence of Star Wars and what Anakin did that ultimately led him to his undoing. The point of no return.

As a teen, I was pretty disappointed that we did not see Anakin carrying out Order 66 at the Jedi Temple. We don't need to see him killing children, but it would have been great to see him fighting jedi in the temple.
This guy has given so much to try and create a bridge between the broken fandom ever since he started his channel. He has done a better job of creating content that brings fans together than Disney or lucasfilm in recent years and what does he get in return for his hard work? The youngling scene was meant to be hard to watch, in my opinion, because that uncomfortableness can give you an idea of how hard it must’ve been for Anakin to commit the act.

Your not meant to feel uncomfortable. The darkest scene in Star Wars was in the clone wars Umbaran scene where the 501st and 212th kill each other, here we neither see the violence nor do we see the repercussions of it. Opposed to in the clone wars where we see the clones kill each other and then we see the grief of the clones for killing their own brothers. Though we know it happened the only repercussions we see to the “younglings scene” is Anakin crying afterward and Obiwan being completely bewildered we don’t even see real grief. That scene was meant to make us see how far Anakin was willing to go to save Padme as well as how far he’s come from the selfless kid he was 16 years ago.

When geeks and gamers put out that video of "where were you" during the Hidalgo fiasco, i said to myself what you said a few days ago in the stream. That you aren't responsible for what others do, only for yourself. Its just a sad world we live in. Cancel culture needs to stop. I feel like a lot of it comes from everyone being stuck at home due to covid and they needed something to feel important. Now that things are beginning to go back to normal, at least in the first steps of it, people are still on that high horse. Cancel culture has been here for a few years now but it really sped up during covid. Rating can depend on county. For me, in Australia, all of them Lucas' are PG 13 but both AotC and RotS are actually M. Even all the Disney ones are M here
Here in the states, only Revenge of the Sith has ever been rated PG-13 and it’s deeper than just the rating system. There are interview pieces slightly prior to the premier of RotS where Lucas and Rick McCalum talk about how they decided to make this the first PG-13 film because Lucas wanted to go deeper into the violence of Star Wars and what Anakin did that ultimately led him to his undoing. The point of no return.

On an Obi-Wan show, those flashbacks would have everything to do with his story since he is... you know... one of the main survivors of Order 66.

What very little people seem to realise is that Star Wars is potentially the darkest fictional story to exist. The content we are shown is actually incredibly tame compared to the things that take place in the universe. I guarantee, that a Star Wars film that goes into detail with one of the more gritty aspects, would likely be far too extreme for today’s standards.
Everything bad that happens on Earth, is happening 10x worse somewhere in the Star Wars universe.

As a teen, I was pretty disappointed that we did not see Anakin carrying out Order 66 at the Jedi Temple. We don't need to see him killing children, but it would have been great to see him fighting jedi in the temple.
I wanted to see the clone wars, Vader hunting down Jedi and Obi vs Vader. We basically got 1/3 but like George said, that's not the story.
This guy has given so much to try and create a bridge between the broken fandom ever since he started his channel. He has done a better job of creating content that brings fans together than Disney or lucasfilm in recent years and what does he get in return for his hard work? Disney try to copyright his fan film, high ups at Lucasfilm giving him abuse and told he’s not allowed to crowd fund (even though so many other’s have been allowed crowd fund for fan films) he’s a treasure to the fandom and we’re lucky to have have him creating content for fans. I for one would have loved to see Anakin kill younglings, not a simple slash to the chest, I mean actual brutal killing. Not just because it would be edgy but because it would add to how badly Anakin hits rock bottom. An R rated Vader film would be so badass. Have Vader slice people's skulls in half and have him do other badass shit. The film Logan did Wolverine justice with the help of that R rating, so now it's Vader's turn.

I think that the 'Padawan' remark was followed by 'Masters' to represent their death alike; 'Padawans and Masters massacred by Vader' to show what depths he would go through to achieve his goal, and to show everybody.
