Puzzle games aren't for everyone. For me, they're nice, relaxing, pallette cleansing games I can play for 30 minutes to an hour to unwind or de-stress

@@Joobie_Joobie There definitely were some good moments. I just hate the direction that they are going in ( They said Miles is the main spider-man and they are bringing another with Silk..) I also hated the way they handled Venom. They tried to force Harry and make you nad for him but i felt like they did a terrible job.
I also dont like how the main villain in these games ALWAYS has a major connection to Spider-Man. It worked really well with Doc-Oc. But they kept doing it. Not every story needs the villain to be connected.

I used to be a diehard Assassin's Creed fan, but Ubisoft has ran that franchise into the ground and I can’t bring myself to care about it that much anymore. Not to mention all the horrible behind-the-scenes stuff at Ubisoft over the past decade.
I was big into smash bros for awhile and I think the draw is big group party for a bit but the way I never got bored is once you get pretty good you unlock the deeper part of the game, each character plays very different and with different strategies. It keeps its “new feel” for a long time that way. But if you don’t care to do that then ya you’ll get bored fast. So I get it

My reactions
1. Haven't played but from what I've heard I'd agree, good story, still fun mechanics, short AF
2. Agreed, it has an audience, but to me its boring af
3. I agree, I don't think 2d Mario is bad and it can be fun, just mega repetitive
4. Agreed as well, I am majorly a casual gamer, I want strategy and to think, but theres a line, and when I have to try 50 times to kill one boss, that isn't fun. Especially since as you mentioned I have to do it over and over with just another boss.

6. Disagree, for me Smash Bros is a game that needs to be played with friends. Its fun to play with 2-4 people all around a couch just talking shit and messing around. Thats the appeal of it, not the solo player experience. I agree that battling AI over an over is boring, but its like Mario Party. The point is to play it with people.
7. I see both takes here. Destiny is a very grindy game with a lose story, but I played it with friends and had fun then. I enjoy the sense of getting better. Its not a game that is something I'd play for hours on end, but it can be fun if done with ppl
8. Disagree, I haven't played much but I enjoy simulating basketball. I also like basketball and play it a lot irl so maybe thats why I enjoy it more. The shooting can be frustrating but it is also realistic. If it is a simulation basketball game you can't have a 70 overall center draining 3's

My most overrated game is overwatch
After 2k17, 2k went downhill at such a pace that i cant even play it anymore. I play maybe a half now every few months
i very much disagree with the smash take, but I still dont understand why my friends want to play destiny 2 like 4 times a week
The thing about Smash Bros is that although it isn’t promoted as a party or coop game, it is very much a party game. The fun and enjoyment of the game comes from playing with friends in person (not online) and fighting each other while having shits and giggles. You can change the rules and format the game to how your liking so that each experience is something new. However, I will agree with Wyatt about how the game can get boring when you are playing the game ALONE. I wouldn’t want to sit there by myself playing Smash for 3 hours straight either.

I definitely agree with the basketball games being stupid difficult for no reason. I miss the days of NBA Street. I do kind of like Playgrounds, but its kind of mindless once you get the hang of it and gets boring quickly
I thought spider man 2 was kinda underwhelming, I didn’t love the story, Miles felt like a side character for most of the game, and by the end of the game I was just playing it to just get to the end of the game.

Sure, there are platformers with deeper mechanics. But Mario is still my favourite because of its charm. If you've even played Super Mario 3 or World more than 2 minutes you'll find out it eventually becomes harder over time. It's not just some jumping and flying around like many the New Super Mario Bros. games. There's some actual strategy involved.
Idk the problem I have with 2d mario is that marios movement feels kinda slippery. Never liked it.
@@jameskozy7254 It's slippery indeed. Especially with Luigi, gotta admit. I hated the second half of Super Mario Galaxy 1 where I played as him.
But I think there's a difference between overrated and games that are just not for you. Overrated means that it gets praised to the moon and back, and there's hardly any video exclusively critisizing that type of content. Be it movies or games. If a video game (series) gets critisized as well as praised is it really overrated? Mario actually gets critisized by its most loyal fans that are actually doing challenge runs every few weeks. The 2D Mario games were just not for him. As well as for you.
A good example of what I might think as overrated is the Max Payne PS2 port. Good luck finding a video about the horrendous fps drops. Where at one point it even gets to a lteral freeze frame. Not even 4 enemies on screen and it's horribly optimized. Just years later I found more accurate reviews on GameFaqs and even then many people didn't give it below a 5.
Edit: He did the same thing with Super Smash Bros. He's completely misinformed and didn't even play against a skilled player. Calls it a botton masher where other fighting games besides the Arc System Works ones are devoid of strategy. It's just not for him, not overrated at all. It's just that each entry has their fans. And I even think Brawl is under*rated*. Didn't say anything about overlooked
Dark Souls is also just not for him.
DS2 defenders can die in a fire. I don't even know what's wrong with them. It's got the worst "Definitive Edition" of all time and has an adaptability stat. Wasted points waiting to be spent elsewhere.
DS1 and DS3 are more for the hardcore players. Part of the fun is figuring out what to do. Skill issue I'd say.
I've finished Bloodborne, albeit with the "Chalice Dungeon" glitch. As someone with skill issues it's one of their better games.
With Sekiro many people disregard the Ogre fight with its bullshit grabbing range. If it weren't for that people would've made many less errors and would've been able to move on even sooner. I gotta admit the rest of the game was solid.
Elden Ring I agree with is highly overrated. But also has as many critiques addressing the problems. Also with shadow of the Erdtree. I didn't like Margit in the base game and was an unnecessary roadblock. This boss and many others read your animation. While it works for Sekiro, Elden Ring would've benefitted from a more "Janky Souls" AI. Malenia as optional boss was ass and specific ways to avoid the Waterfoul Dance are no excuse to defend a poorly designed boss. And I'm one of the people who think the bloom and the yellow was way overdone in this game. I couldn't see yellow for weeks after finishing the games. That's just a few points of critisism from me.
Tl;dr: Smash Bros. misinformed. DS not overrated, aside from DS2 defenders and start of Sekiro and entirety of Elden Ring. So yeah, if a game is not for you, it doesn't equal overrated.
@@MantaOrlando I basically agree with you. I don't claim that 2d mario is overrated. I would say games such as the last of us and red dead 2 are overrated. The last of us only gets its praise due to the emotional impact the characters have on the player, through the game. I think because you're playing as Elle and Joel instead of completely watching them in a movie, it creates a bigger connection between the player and characters. Which is why people think its one of the best games ever. But if you look at it from a gameplay perspective, it's really not doing anything significant. The same goes for Red dead 2. It's fans are insane. If you criticize it at all, they go ballistic. The story, arthur Morgan, and the technical achievements of the game are why they love it. You never hear anyone talking about how amazing the GAMEPLAY is. It's just another Rockstar game. And I like both of these games but I believe them to be overrated. Games like elden ring, which just aren't for me, are different. I respect that game and it's fans. I don't think it's overrated.

Indeed, games at their core are about gameplay. I'm more of a gameplay purist in that sense. It's so nice to be able to figure stuff out via hints ingame.
What do you think of railroading? I'm not really fond of being obviously guided to the next destination. Well, except for Mario, that one I give a pass. A journal or NPC hints would be nice. Or environmental hints would work too, as long as the map isn't too big for its own good. Railroading may work, but there should be some natural obstacles and not some narration like "AH, I'TS LOCKED! I'll find another way in."

I was so happy when you said all the souls games and smash because I've always felt the same way and it's so nice that other people actually aren't just sucking the dick of that game.
However lets be real zelda should be up here its basically the same game as assassin's creed, horizon dawn, far cry, lord of the rings, and a million other games. There's so many games where it's like open world climb towers. Explore the map. Parkour and fight enemies with random quest givers. How many games are in that exact style and format? I mean I could really list at least 10 to 15

Except when you bring up Assassins Creed as a fan of these games I have played everyone and most multiple times and never been bored of them still my favorite games to this day the only gripe i would ever have was Valhalla was just to big I’m a 100% of the games and I’ve just never been able to do it with it don’t got the time

honestly I understand the AC critique but even something like AC Odyssey I still haven’t gotten bored of. Maybe I just like the Greek mythology inclusions but it’s very interesting and I think it’s fun for hundreds of hours. W list though

Yeah I can get you on Elden Ring as a veteran of the Souls series. It isn't for everyone though I will say the amount of bosses that fit how you describe it is more DS2 and Elden Ring since they have more bosses than the rest. I'm kind of shocked you didn't mention how tough some of the enemies are to the point that they are more difficult than the bosses themselves at times. Also I wouldn't really call Tekken a button mashing sim fighting game like Smash and stuff like that since there are only a few characters you can fully get away that kind of playstyle but maybe fighting games aren't for you
Aside from Elden Ring (since I've been playing the souls series from the start), agree with every one on this list. Well, except Destiny, not because it's not a terrible series (which we all know it is) but because I feel it can't be considered overrated when it was being given away for free just months after releasing 😬

Apex from the beginning has been about team play. Legend abilities are meant for squad play. The actually have a solos mode for a ltm!
4:27: for me personally I play any call of duty games that I just feeI I love to play a lot but first one for me was black ops black ops two them finally black ops three I just never was able to play the rest of them after that now I want to but only the ones that I feel that I would most likely play a lot to get better at the game it self
6:56 as far as NBA 2K for me I’d love to get better at playing video games that are more competitive because I just love a challenge I’m not a casual cause I actually enjoy playing basketball in real life and video game.
