I love this song!! Its amazing how this sound is almost the same that a group in the Peoria, Illinois, area had around the same time. The Coach men sang Maybe Time Will Help Me Forget and one band member was Dan Folgerberg!!
What a find! I recall going to Club Morocco, whose site recently burned down, getting supplied with a jacket (or was it a tie?) to be entertained by a band headed by a certain Chad Allen. I was suitably impressed. It goes to show what a rich culture of music emerged from the relatively small town of Winnipeg.
First time I heard this. Have everything (else) Burton ever recorded. It's a really nice song. This would be interesting as an uptempo Merseybeat-type song with a different arrangement. At this tempo, it sounds a lot like a Dave Clark Five ballad. Wonder if Burton was influenced by them?
Love learning the history
Wow!
Nice oldie and nice you added back story! 👍🏼

Beautiful song. Wish Burton would re-record some of this OLD stuff.
He did a live version of it 5-6 years ago - its here on youtube
Fantastic thanks.

Anybody know who the writers are for "Lost Love" and the B-side, "Feel All Right"?
