Hey I was there that day actually doing a video myself on my draw I got for this year and trying to get an idea on what I should have in it just got back from scouting this morning don’t look too bad but didn’t see many doves but they haven’t mowed them down yet
Hey Paul! Honestly it changes every time I do it.. I just go by smell and taste before I add the meat. It is infinitely better with fresh grated ginger vs powered, and I like a strong ginger flavor. I might recommend starting with 1/2 cup water, 1/2 cup soy, 2 tbs grated ginger, 1 tbs honey. The soy can get super salty super quick, especially if you let it marinade too long, so with the dove I try not to let it sit more than 4 hours or so. Duck & Goose can take it a bit longer, but overnight will get too salty for me. Thats why I cut it with water. Start with a small batch, taste & modify & take notes as you go, then scale up once you've found a ratio you like. Let me know how it turns out! Cheers!

Do you have a recipe for that marinade?
