Daniel and Alex are probably gonna be in the new game with safi? Idk it would make sense for them to meet at some point, they wouldn’t just make them and not returns to them
I could see them bringing in others since Safi can move across different timelines but they are all the way in Vermont which is not near Colorado (where Alex was) or Daniel in California/Mexico. It'll be a reach to tie them in.
@@MellowGamerChick since max publicly announced her powers to people, it might reach the media or something? Possibility but I hope they don’t go with a whole powers thing, lis was never about the powers
Yeah it seems a bit like they're trying to make her a superhero. Originally Max was so against anyone knowing she had powers and scared to use them so this is a huge change in her character.
I actually thought this game was really nice until Ive played the ending and it was so underwhelming really, I dont know if its because of my choice with safi. However I toally agree with all of your points. its kinda sad, the beginning was soo nice and I feel like they didnt do anything with it.
Yeah it's complicated. I loved seeing Max and I enjoyed it for the first 2 chapters but it should have been a standalone story. Not one tied to Life is Strange 1 or just a setup for another game in a couple years.
You don't really think D9 would suggest anyone should play a Dontnod game first, especially one that has a superior ending. There you save a town or the person you love. Here it's like Max being recruited into the Brotherhood of Mutants (Or sisterhood)
I mean although Dontnod made the first game, Square Enix is still the publisher and they'd make money if people went back to buy/play the first game. But it's annoying that they were going to take the time to mention the LiS1 if they weren't going to tell people that they needed to play the first one.
No, not to ignore it. But it seems like Deck Nine and Square Enix rod the fence about the Chloe Price issue. She's important enough for Max to talk about and have flashbacks about but we didn't get to see or hear her in the new game...why tease us if she's so important to Max's story?
@@MellowGamerChick I am sure everyone at D9 were thinking, "why did they have to complicate everything by saving that..." Don't Nod made an ending the players cared about. D9 not very much.
Here is the thing......Safi's story takes two games. One game cannot do it justice. There was too much ground to cover. DE concludes Max's character development, the next game will be much more about Safi.
I hope they can explain a lot more in the 2nd game. I think that we didn't get enough time with Safi. Even though they revealed her shapeshifter abilities a bit in episode 3, it was still heavily focused on Max struggling with hers. It's just a new shift in the way Life is Strange games have historically been done...normally it's 1 game per character and they manage to wrap it all up in those 5 episodes. This shift feels...weird.
I think they meant safi to be the new chloe but she doesnt feel like a new chloe amanda does. I do think the game had alot of stuff cut due to time restraints and what we will see in the next game maybe we will see max chloe and amanda watching a revenge horse concert i wanna see more of maxes normal day to day life
Yeah Safi seems like a platonic friend, more than a romantic one. It was clear in the first game that you could romance Chloe which is why people "shipped" them. We barely Amanda outside of the Snapping Turtle, and one of the times we saw Amanda was Safi being a shapeshifter so that doesn't count.
@@MellowGamerChick And in the short time we seen amanda she was wholesum and kind even being the first person to check on max even if you didnt choose to date her even bringing max food even going out of her way to cheer max up in the turtle when max is having a rough time amanda is truly a great character ..and totally maxes type aka attachment issued caring metalhead/punk rock types and even amanda admits max is so her type which is funny. Max finds two people that suits her well in her life its hard to decide who is the better suitor for max tho thats my problem lol
Honestly Amanda is probably the better fit because she's patient, she's funny, they have the same taste in music, and Amanda was such a huge support when she was grieving Safi (in that timeline where Safi is dead). Chloe was iconic and it was Max's first time "in love" but I don't see how they could last forever, even if Max stayed in Arcadia Bay.
@@MellowGamerChick I mean max says shes into bxtchy women and chloe was like that and if nothing else max deserves to have her oldest friend back..my problem is who would max want more???? also i wanna know how kates been
The argument that they should put a disclaimer at the beginning of the game that this is a sequen and you should play the first one first is wild, lol. Imagine going to the movies watch Batman Returns then seeing a note saying “Batman Returns is a sequel for this movie, you should watch the first one first or you won’t get a lot of stuff”. 🤣 I’m sure a few clueless person could walk into Batman Returns and be aghast that its sequel, but honestly they’d have to ignore the trailers, the movie description, and all the word of mouth.
The difference is Square Enix and Deck Nine advertised this game was a stand-alone game, they said that it was a "new adventure" for Max. Had they called it a sequel, more people would have had the right expectations. But the amount of references back to Arcadia Bay, Chloe Price, and the events of the first game seemed unfair for a new adventure.
I suppose they are, but normally it's different characters. Like Alex Chen from True Colors had her own adventure, it wrapped up at the end of that story and then the next story had a new protagonist. Sometimes there's Easter eggs referring to previous games but it wasn't like the same characters game over game.
I like it up to the Sequel Bait at the end & Now the more I think about & People going Why is Agreeing with Safi at the End the highest out of Not. Well it makes me go I'm done & I don't mean with the Game but the Series.
I mean I don't know how I feel about them lining up a sequel to this one with Safi and Max again. I thought we'd get a new game because normally we don't do sequels. It also feels like the story is incomplete. Normally Life is Strange games in the series wrap it up all in 1 game.

@MellowGamerChick Not this Time because D9 wants Life is Strange Fresh & New meanwhile they get all their ideas from 2010 & 2015.
I'm not sure why this D9 is taking this stance when they could make a story of their own.
