@@Dappersworthi had an argument the other day with somebody claiming that the spark plug tube seals are separate from the valve covers on a vq35de lol it takes 5 secs to google it and see they’re built into the oem covers

Shit I did my valve cover gasket on my Mazda 3 2014 and it went great. But fuck man not too long I found out one of my valves were burnt and I had low compression in 1 cylinder. Just got another engine in my Mazda 2 weeks ago and my original only had 102k miles. Love the Mazdas I had to keep the car get an engine.
300k……blow by and a stuck pcv? Not a gasket out there that would hold up new or not………especially if your still running the water they call 0w-20 at 300k

I’m no expert nor a mechanic , but usually if there’s a timing chain you need to dab some Rtv on the corners where timing chain meets the block and valve cover. If not they tend to leak in those areas after replacing gasket, I’ve learned the hard way.😅
Spark plug gromets or gaskets smh that would have been my next recommendation not a new cover unless the service tech inspects for cracks or flaws warping ect … never over look small items a seal seals 🦭lol
Maybe the valve cover gasket got pinched. It’s a recessed rubber gasket so maybe it wasn’t seated properly
The grommets people never change them
They probably didn’t do the spark plug grommets, most people overlook those when changing a valve cover gasket, those will let oil into the plugs
My first thought
he replaced the valve cover itself so it's impossible he didnt replace those

A 300 000 mile mazda? No way!!!
Why not my 2011 mazda 3 type s has 328000 and it doesn't skip a beat
Have you had problems with Mazdas? Ive never had one be at all unreliable.
@dertmatyui all Ford collab mazdas are shit in my experience. 😂 I've never seen one last more than 140k.
@@dertmatyuihave a 13 Mazda 3 and it’s been giving me nothing but problems.
13 Mazda 3 with 250k never had a part fail.
Nice. Mazdas are super easy to work on. Love them. Love your videos man very informative
Thanks man!

Maybe mazdas are but the ford focuses their engines go into are a bitch💀
Valve cover gasket with spark plug tube seals. Also replace ignition coil boots

Lets not forget the pcv valve.
Cure for warped valvcovers =rtv
300k that's insane a Mazda lasted that long
Worked on Moto Guzzi and Harleys. TB1207B is your friend.
Not the valve cover gasket it’s the spark plug grommets
What year?
The problem is the spark plug gasket
Some valve covers have o rings that go bad and leak probably those
My Mazda 3 2011 is at 275000 great vehicle
Good job
Probably the spark plug tube seals forgot to get changed
WHAT TOOL SET YOU HAVE THERE
300k miles on a Mazda. My recommendation is to get another car 😂😂😂
Finally you got spark plug socket
You don’t have to drope like before
I still “drop” em 😂

I would not let a guy who uses a cordless ratchet to take plugs out, do any repairs on my vehicle. Dont care if how careful he was......
Thanks for watching :)
