I don't normally comment on videos, but as a wavy this helped me SO MUCH. I have thin little ramen noodle curls and I couldn't figure out how to clump them. Now I have actual coils!
I love how you format your videos, the text on the side is so helpful to see the routine at a glance! Do you ever wash your hair at night?
girl! you need more subscribers!! you are so clear explaining everything, you are so pretty and your curls are amazing! great video!
I've only tried brush styling once but this video makes me want to do it again! Esp since you used a wet brush (what I have) and not a Denman
Saaaame. ♡
Are the results different with a wet brush?
How do you guys do your routines without taking HOURS?!
I can't wash my hair at night but don't have that many hours in the morning before work. . .
ikr? i got into trying to wear my hair wavy so i didn't have to straighten it every day, but it seems like every wavy routine takes at least as much time as straightening did
I have long hair, so it takes forever! I don’t even have curly hair. Mine is just wavy, but I do the routine because it makes my hair healthier. It does take a really long time just to wash it. I don’t even style it because that would take forever. But its like a self-help/self-care thing for me, so I put up with it.
Here’s my cheat notes!
Robe curls!
Lasts 3 weeks!
Choose a size that looks close to your natural texture.
Slap on some volumizing foam on the scalp/roots(this will provide oil control)
Apply your favorite styler(the firmer the hold the longer lasting)
And wrap your hair!
I like to use multiple cloth strips so my hair is wrapped on base for better volume & curl definition!
It only takes an hour at night & it’s easy to sleep in & it lasts for 3 weeks!
Why be natural when you can be supernatural 🫠
I spent around 15 min for my hair every morning. I can't for the life of me understand the curl community and its tons of products plus time wasted. I wake up, take my shower, including wetting my hair and then I style it again after applying a base oil and a little leave-in.
No heat. I will take some 15 more min for breakfast and out I go.
I usually break the cast and fluffy the hair in my car on the way to work and that is it.
I get out of the shower and use the brush to define curl clumps and then using praying hands and scrunching, I put in Marc Anthony curl cream and then Aveda confixor. Diffuse until a cast forms and then scrunch it out using Moroccan oil. Start to finish 30 mins max and most of that is drying time. Perfect curls every time. I wash/cowash my hair everyday.
Great video, thank you for the content! I would like to see different types of hairstyles you wear throughout the week!
I have style with the denman for like a year, but I tried the "half assed" version of this (aka, I just did top and bottom, and don't do small sections but just brushed)
But girl, it's been working so well I have more definition!!! And also I use gel and put it after plopping, and also haven't been scrunching while putting the product
I find that the Denman brush for me gives me stringy curls.
I did that the other day. The half assed version of this and my hair looked amazing. Now I don’t remember what I did to recreate it LOL
Brush styling is my way. I love my Denman 81M for it.
This routine is def. heaven sent! Tried earlier with my phone and me in the bathroom and now it's dry. Let me all tell yall that my problem was always how I part my hair but literally I feel so powerful now that I can part my hair literally everywhere from left to right even in the middle but the part part is meh for me. Thank you britt, i hope you make more knowledgeable vids! Love u, keep safe hun!❤️
I never thought of hairspray!! My mind is blown!
The SpongeBob "I need it" sold me 🤣🤣🤣
Yes!! I've wanted to try brush styling for so long! Thank you!
U explain everything very clearly n so detailed... 👌🏼👌🏼wow need to try this..
I would love to see the results, same technique and different products
You've really been inspiring me as I start my curly journey after nearly 20 years of blow drying and flat ironing - i Know... I'm curious to see what kind of up-do you would do. Being from Arizona, I need to keep my thick 2c/3a hair off my neck in the summer. Thanks!!
I wish my hair would look like this, I have such fine curly hair, that if I use too much product I just have greasy mop 😮💨 and my hair is quite short so not sure the brush technique would work,
Your hair looks amazing 🥰
I finalllyyyy found a video with clear explanation on how to section, thank you so so much. 😍❤️
This is so useful esp the root clips! Forgot about that!
This technique has done wonders for me. Thankyou soo much ❤️
Love from India 😁
This is the most simple yet effective steps that I've watch. 😊😊 thabkbyou so much.
Beautiful. Seriously. Looks so nice, shiny and soft. Looks healthy.
That is definitely super cool and touchable looking hair! Wow!
So cute, Britt!! Your results are killer! And last sooo long :)
Haven't had much luck with brush styling, but I love the idea that it's possible to use many different types of brushes. Maybe I won't give up just yet! Also root clipping on wet hair for air drying might be a game changer. Thanks so much!
YES Britt! You have made my curl journey so much easier. I love the format of your videos - the visuals and way you structure in steps helps me so much. Deffo my type of learning! Can’t thank you enough. Can’t wait to try this on my next wash day. Also thank you for adding in about what to do if using a gel!
Your curls are so cute! I don't think mine are forming that tight and i have short hair, so idk if this work on me
What a great video! I can’t wait to try this. I have a Denman and have never liked the results.
Absolutely beautiful!
Your curls are so pretty 😍 this routine is fabulous for you!
Trying this today 😅
This is unreal! Will be trying this. Thanks!
Super gorgeous and so helpful! Thank you! 💞💞
Hey, Thank you for this wonderfully put together video. It amalgamates so much of what I’ve learnt into one vid! how do you leave/protect your hair at night? Xx
I use a brush to style but I have not done in 2 sections. Also I noticed you don’t add xtra water when your doing the stylers. Pretty curls ❤️
very helpful steps to follow!
Yeeii was waiting for this, will definitely try it next wash day
Can you please recommend the shampoo and conditioner you use with this routine? I need to invest in a good set with these styling products ❤
Wow!!! Do you still do this technique?😍
Can't wait to try this!
When you brush your top pieces, did you always brush to the sides? Also when you refreshed did you just add foam and scrunch?
My hair is very thick and dense. I have been doing the denman tech with a denman dupe and I love it but I’m going to try your technique to see if I can conquer the front. Thanks!
Did you have much luck? The front pieces are always my nemesis too
@@jadej5326 not really. My hair is shorter, thicker and more layered.
@@karenmonroe2058 I hear you!!
Hi Britt!
QUESTION.... What speed and temp settings do you use when you hover/pixie diffuse??
Thanks! 💜
I’m also wondering this!
what do you do at night to protect your curls while you sleep?
Subscribed x’s 💯! Doing this today!
Loved this video!! May I know what is your hair type? is it aligned more towards Type 2 or 3? I have Type 2b hair and I was hoping if I could try this brush to style my hair.
Your curls are amazing!
I'm sitting with a deep conditioner curl cast now and going to try this after I rinse.
Question though, do you sleep with a silk night bonnet or what's your method?
Haha, I just found the answer to my question on your IG. New follower ✔️
So if you do MGM, would you just use praying hands and scrunch for each styler at the end or apply one mousse application and gel before brushing and then end with another application of mousse using praying hands and scrunching?
Does this comment even make sense?
Hahahaha I gotchu! So I’d do mousse raked in, brush, gel with praying hands, mousse with praying hands!
what do you do to protect your hair when running / yoga? x
Hey Britt! How do you feel about using I Create Hold too? Did you notice any difference when you used it in the past for I Create Volume and Lift?
How are you sleeping to maintain your curls for multiple days?
Can it still works when I don't know a diffuser? And with wavy hair?
YES!!!!!!!!
Hi! I am new and love this video, you are beautiful. What is your night time/sleep routine? Do you wear a cap?
Hi yes! I always wear either a silk scarf, a buff, or a manetain (it’s a satin lined buff!). And then I sleep on a silk pillowcase as a backup because I’m such an active sleeper 😂
How much longer/better does this last compared to styling with no brushing (e.g. doing squish to condish and then just applying your stylers via raking or praying hands)?
I can't get my hair to clump together.. maybe I should use some different product?
do you recommend wet brush over denman?
So you brush style every time you wash?
Hey! I've just started the cgm and I'm not sure if I should finger coil my hair. Would it damage my curly pattern? Because I'm finger coiling A LOT.
My hair doesnt form into curls after i brush them? I dont understand what i did wrong...
me with my few hair this is a lot of work..
Do you have any advice for maintaining the individual curls? I can get really great curls on the bottom layer, but when I take down my top layer, the layers get tangled together and it ruins the work I’ve already done.
When you take down the top layer, push it toward the front of your face! It’s also totally ok to go over a piece again with the brush 👍
Wish my hair looked like that naturally
Everybody wishes that, lol.
So it doesn’t have to be a denman brush?
Is it essential to have a brush? Or can it be a comb?
I tried this and unfortunately my hair is super fine and not dense at all, so it didn't look good 😭
How do you sleep on your hair? Do you pineapple or what?
I was just going to ask the same question.
Michelle Beckham she has and instagram account @brittcurls. Very informative
Would this work with a Denman brush?
YESSSSSSS. I USE DENMAN AND IT WORS WONDERS
@@larisseann1517 I ended up trying it and it worked so well for me too!!
This is the only way I style my hair lol
