If nothing else I learned that you can hold shift to just extend the eaves in one direction and this is gonna change my roofing forever!

Thank you for this tutorial! I've been wondering how to effectively pull an A Frame house off and add extra rooms on the side and this was just what I needed. Finally no more clipping and overlay issues!
Thank you for this. I was just trying to built and A-Frame and I was struggling and ended rage quitting my game.
I just wanted to pop in and say thank you for this video. I am a console player (PS4/EA ID: BADBOYLOKI) and love getting tips on how to build things. I used your video to update the roof I had on a recent modern home build I am working on in which the second floor master suite over looks a sunroom off the kitchen. I had completed it with a half gable roof, but then had to add glass to the one wall so that they could use the skylight. With your instruction I was able to drop the wall to a glass fence so now it truly over looks the floor below. It may not be as private - but it looks stunning. The only issue with doing this on the console platform is you can only extend the eave/soffit so far - I had to do two of them. Thanks again!

They should’ve fixed roofs for us so we could’ve had see through roofs where you could see into your house for the 20th anniversary.
You just need to delete the ceiling after you've placed your roof and put the glass in it 😊 hope this helps

@@Ty-iz9wd it's fine haha. But look at what she's done she's deleted the ceiling of the room below so you can see it through the roof. See-through floors are available in a 2x2 called Crystal Clear that is found in Decorations > Misc. It's better to just search the name as that clutter category is very cluttered. And you can put that on stilt foundations and roofs and whatever you'd like. Hope this helps more 😊

Hey thank you for the tutorial! I couldn't figure out how you dragged the eaves to the side for the whole length at 5:30 , it lets me drag it only one step to the side and that's it...

For some reason i can't line up the roof with one another even if i copy .
I'm very late so you nay not see this but can you do a tutorial on how you build your shells ? I'm always fascinated when I see your speedbuilds
im having some trouble lining the top and bottom roofs up and theres always some sort of obvious overlap, does anyone know how to fix this?
Adjust the eaves on one side by holding down shift
@@ImDirtyDani That doesn't work for me. Even when I adjust them, it still looks off.
Omg I just figured it out... I'm realizing I'm late lol. What I did was line the top roof up as close as possible then raise my side walls up like once and then it was seamless. I made the mistake of lining the bottom roofs up with the wall height at first.

How do you add a second storey under the a-frame roof?
Hey at minute 7 you fix the glass to get rid of the line, I tried to do the same and it’s not working at all. Any suggestions?
Can you make a tutorial on how to make witchy homes because as a person who got realm of magic recently I want to make witchy builds to replace the awful Ea ones but I just can’t execute it :)

Aveline I worded it wrong lol. What I tried to say was like tips and tricks for making them so how you make the roof and what colour schemes could work :) sorry about the inconvenience I am terrible when I need to get to the point :)
I just wish it worked like the sims 3 where the rooms made by roofs counted as rooms

I play on console. Has anyone figured out what the shift button equivalent is for ps4/xbox? So that I can actually shift click and drag one side of the ease???
how come your glass roof/window doesn’t have those weird wall things in the middle? my game seems to have a glitch to where it only goes in the middle and doesn’t let me delete it

my windows are saying insufficient wall height for placement even though its a room
For me the problem is not the weather, it’s the lighting. Somehow my aframe house is considered to be outdoors. So it gets super dark in the day time. Does anyone know how to solve this?

I hate that you can’t delete the walls of the roofing or paint it in different colors.
Does anyone know how to extend one side of the glass roof piece on ps4? Both sides keep extending no matter what I press. I tried holding square but it just releases both sides when I hit X.

Okay this might be a weird question but how do you use the sims 3 camera because when I use it I cant figure out how to change the perspective like she did at 0:49 like when I want to do it I only get this cross symbol and the one I would get if I would have played with sims 4 camera? I hope somebody can help me :(
Hold on Shift (or Ctrl) then right click whenever you want to change the camera's perspective.
How to get ideas and do diffrent shell
When I build the walls on the roof to put the window on that wall the roof clips weirdly and the trim color turns black and I'm literally about to cry bcz ive been like this for like 1 hour and I can't figure it out

@@AvelineYT hi there. I appreciate this tutorial but I agree with this commenter. It’s too erratic in some parts and some things aren’t explained. I can’t get my roof on the third floor? How do you get the grid on top of the roof? I can’t figure it out at all.
@@AvelineYT EDIT!! :) at around 8, you make it sound like that stuff is just to make the window actually show light through which doesn’t bother me. So skipped a crucial step unknowingly that showed me how to create the “third floor” :) just some constructive feedback. No hate at all. If the tutorial was maybe more structured it might help :) i think the commenter thinks it’s not planned properly because you’re often playing the roof pieces as if you haven’t written the steps down
