It’s that final look that’s shared at the end. There’s no testosterone or LSD, just two friends who smile with what can be best described as pure joy. No witty or snarky remarks, just two friends who share a smile of being happy
Right? When working on the storyboard of this animation, this was a very subtle yet super important bit. We had to work quite a bit on it, since it's such a specific thing that at first it was hard for the creative director to properly convey the team the exact idea he had in mind with that one closing look. And then we worked hard to explain the specific vibe to the animators. We had to do some edits with the timing, but in the end we think they nailed it. It's the small things, isn't it?
@@BeautifulGlitch I really appreciated it! Monster Roadtrip felt less like a dating simulator and more like a friends having fun times kinda game. You can date, but you also don't so it felt less of a challenge and more of an objective for me Highlighted the friendships of these characters a lot more, something I've always thought was a strength of these games
I’d love that so much but they’d have to be dodging so many specific bullets with the topics they discuss in the game that I think it would be very limited cause of legal purposes Not only drugs and toilet humor(toilet humor probably would be one of the things they could get by with) but also the possible LGBTQ+ parts of the show. But holy fuck if it could happen that would be golden, I’d pay a million to watch that
@@ahallowedknight4572 you’re right they would have to find both a studio and a platform that would not try to control too much and be willing to put enough money in for high quality animation. Sadly Netflix is the only place I could see that and though it’s doing better recently it still is declining in value. Still one can dream
If they make this a show, I feel like the main characters will be rotating like they did in total drama. This ED gives me the vibe that polly and scott are the protagonists of roadtrip
It never fails to impress me how beautiful these credits are. The animation and the music is so... calming. After all the fun and wacky adventures of the game, this feels like the perfect way to end the adventure. It's relaxing, heartwarming and it makes me want to start playing all over again.
the end credits animation is so wholesome and pretty, because everything that happens in all of the games are choice based it's so cute seeing the characters interact without your influence and just have cute fun times together
2:11 this shot right here means a lot to me, personally. It's a very minor thing, but my closest friend and I have played all the games together, through broken friendships and other people we've fallen out with. But despite it all, Vicky and Oz are always in the game, mine and his main respectively. This series is something of an emotional roller coaster for me, with each game representing a specific point in my life, but I'm glad I've been able to experience them all with him.
Gonna say this since no one has pointed it out yet. There are four scenes in this that basically match some polaroid pictures in the first game; these were the solo polaroids of the playable characters with one of the date options with none of the others around. All of the combos didn't get their own solo polaroids until a later update. The solo polaroids in question are Oz and Polly (0:14), Brian and Liam (0:49), Vicky and Vera (1:24), and Amira and Scott (1:59). I just thought that was a really neat detail.
Idk why but these credits make me so emotional. I’m so glad I found this game because it’s so charming, and I can’t wait for the next instalment in the series. Thank you for the incredible and really funny game!
Some of your best work yet!!! I love the dedication and vision that goes into making a credits sequence as amazing as you do for each of Monster Prom's game, it's just head and shoulders above most other video games, period!
OMG MILO'S TERRIFIED FACE!! Lol! I love that! Everything in this was BEAUTIFUL and SO FREAKIN' ADORABLE AND AWESOME! It's so endearing and wholesome to see them having fun and making the best out of their adventures. I love the friendships, the crazy shenanigans they're going through, the peaceful moments, and Polly's gentle smile at the end.
I really loved that the ending song it's in Spanish. As a translator, my team and I really enjoy this game. Also we want to translate it to Spanish. This game should reach all of Latin America, Spain and France. ¡Hugs!
I just realized there are a bunch of references to the original polaroids that were in the first builds. Liam and Brian listening to music, Oz being the right with Polly on the left, Amira and Scott stargazing, and Vicky giving Vera shade from the rain. Wow devs, you're sooo subtle about who the canon ships are. I don't care, I ship everyone with everyone.
This comment disregards how canon ships work on the Monster Prom franchise at all. It's not specific pairs. Each character has several canon ships. In this case, we thought it'd be cool to do a callback to the original polaroids. For that matter, there's also a few callbacks to Camp's credits as well. You mention Liam/Brian, for instance. But at this point, several Liam canon ships have been teased in different places. Also, you mention shipping everyone with everyone as if that was you defying our will or interests; but that's exactly what we want: for the audience to enjoy the franchise the way they see fit. Even if a character has a limited number of canon ships, you are super welcomed to ship them with whoever you want. That's the whole point of these games (and of shipping, for that matter).
@@BeautifulGlitch Jesus, you guys completely misinterpreted me. I meant that I was showing that I don't mind the fact you guys haven't been comfortable with sharing the canon ships. if the show was an animated series, it would be a web show. that's the only way i cam see them doing this, whilst also keeping the originality of the games alive. They could fund it with a kickstarter or patreon, I mean there's already a bunch of people wanting it, so they could get the funding easily enough. If the game DOES actually become a show, I could see it following the 4 OG player characters (forgot their names LMAO) as they go on camp misadventures and try to woo their chosen lovers, with lots of misadventures along the way! There's also room for special episodes with the secret endings (the co-op ending, moss mann, jerry, pizza girl, ect) and for the 'New Blood' characters to at least have an apperence in the show! but, this is all wishful thinking...it probably won't happen--
They even linked the song they used, something fortnite can’t even take time to do. These psychopaths are amazing, I cant get enough, oh god it won’t stop, NO ENOUGH HELP AHHHH
The end credits was good, but the actual gameplay could've been better, i think instead of it just being scot and polly, you get to pick who goes on the road trip.
That'd be almost impossible from a developer's perspective. It'd require to multiply the content. For reference, this game probably should cost $18-20. If we added this option (let's imagine it's 2 other pairs to fit the original 6 ROs), the content we should have to produce would send this into $40-50 territory, which no one would be willing to pay, most likely. In the end, we're giving the spotlight to different characters in each game. This one was focused on Polly and Scott. We understand they might not be your favorite ones, but in the end it is the choice we made for the focus of this specific instalment. If not your cup of tea, there's no shame on not buying this one and waiting for another game where the focus goes to characters you like better.
Life can be scary, when we realize how much we dont understand and how hard it can be. Just know i am proud of you and you got this, you've come so far already ❤
