      NNNI
      Lol, sub'd, prove it ;)
      At first glance, I was wondering if I could rig a FET to replace that power NPN and use the Vgs resistance as a replacement for the power resistor but I will need to play with that one in a simulator first ;)
      I know the 2.4v zener should be replaced with a TL431 as the first step to building this easier with junk components
      ;)

    Great channel. "no ic's circuit" the design of discrete components circuit great job. The wonderfull of transistors works demostration: power pass transistor. darlington and driver transistor. Diferential pair amplifier.current limiter protection and more. is very nice job. im a electric and electronic technician in my country south america chile. (sorry my english please)

    Hi Kasyan. It is a very good project. I tried to make it but there is one problem when I turn down the ampares to zero the half voltages still shows like I tried with 18v transformer. When I turn down the 100k pot to zero and turn up the full the 10k pot voltmeter shows 8.5 voltages and the voltages also moves with ampare pot. Please guide me what can get wrong?

    Very nice power supply for such a simple circuit. I imagine it would be possible to replace the potenteters with resistors to set a voltage/ amperage value, and be used as a permanent component in x, y, z device?

    Kasyan, can you please tell me why there is a 2.4v zener used?
    Can it be replaced by 4 silicon diode in series in forward bias?
    I need your answer urgently.

    Dear Kasyan,
    Please consider spending more time explaining each circuit as you would in a class room environment. With current paths and voltage states.
    Many of your viewers are experienced in electronics (like myself), and will not learn anything new, but far more numbers are learning the ins and outs of electronics and will benefit greatly from such analysis.

    Is it possible to use a dimmer, a diode rectifier and some capacitors to make a high power ac-dc power supply?

    • @iblesbosuok
      @iblesbosuok 6 лет назад

      Zetsubou_232_ , ofcourse it is possible. Applying typical dimmer on primary side of the power transformer, apply additional snubber network on the triac and apply small resistive load in parallel with the primary will work fine. Unfortunately it not provide regulated output voltage.

    I had an idea about SMPS powering linear regulator in way of adjusting voltage of SMPS to 3 volts higher than output of linear one. It will probably have good stability and no need for massive radiator.

    • @miftosaurus
      @miftosaurus 6 лет назад

      this can be done easily.
      as a plus, filtering will be a bit good than a "normal" smps power supply.
