I noticed that with a few of these criminal cases. The adult children side with the parent who is obviously the murderer or criminal. I don’t know why, but I think it has something to do with not losing both parents usually. But their mother is right there, and they totally ditched her for some dude they never talk to without barbed wire glass between them

For those wondering what happened to the family after.
Nancy divorced Frank before the trial started and has started to reverted her name back to Nancy Shore. She has since found love again and is married. Although there are still complications from the recovery of the attempted murder she is determined to live life to the fullest. She also wrote a back called "Journey back to Shore".
Nancy also spoke about her daughter's attitude during the verdict, stating that she understood why her children did what they did as she was constantly telling them how a great father and husband Frank was after the shooting and only stopped once the affair was revealed. According to both Nancy and her kids, they have made amends and have since repaired their relationship with their mother. Nancy is also a grandmother now and is very close with her grand children who visit her often.

Nancy's physical recovery IS a miracle. I hope that her considerable faith helps her recover physically and spiritually. Turning away from rage and anger saved her. Thank goodness!
Probably gonna have constant flashbacks i witnessed my sister pass as tears went down her face she was 18 i was 13 and we buried her on her 19th birthday. Thanksgiving is torture (the day she passed) and every day my stupid brain gives me the image over and over…. It’s constant but i believe in God and I’m always safe. It’s just stuff like that doesn’t go away. Now imagine what Nancy is going through. Wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.

Imagine getting shot in the right temple and out your eye and still being able to get up, call 9-11 , and still be able to answer all of the 9-11 operators questions perfectly.

There's a video of this young man who was shot in the eye and was interrogated by the cops for an hour with a bullet in his brain. He died a few years later because n of the seizures. Sad story. This father and son killed his girlfriend and shot him

Nancy's 911 call was heartbreaking. She was so scared, she knew she was dying.
I can’t believe their daughters wouldn’t even speak to their mother. She was attacked, lost an eye, and even publicly forgave Frank. I understand not wanting to believe their dad did it, but their actions are cruel.

I’m not a very empathic person it seems but when I started this video, I didn’t expect to hear a vulnerable, middle-aged woman who had been shot asking for help. It just filled my heart with tears and I’m just so grateful that she’s still alive. I love this woman. This woman has given so much to me, just by hearing that voice. Her voice it’s just her you I really almost cried.

Me too. I watch true crime all the time, but hearing her voice crying out after being shot in the face really got to me. I can't imagine the pain she went through. Horrible! How the f*ck can someone do that to another human being? I'm glad she survived and seems to be doing okay these days, at least according to some comments
This is probably the best 911 operator I’ve ever heard do their job they are heros too and the way she conducted herself and asked questions to help keep her calm give her a award for this she deserves everything good

@marcosolo6491 perhaps the point of that is that it would be difficult to have faith in a benevolent and all knowing God given those facts. I would say that's a good point. The comment didn't credit her faith with anything at all. Just said it was worthy of admiration. Did you just want to disparage religious people? Its true the criticism you had, religious people tend to hand wave stuff and invoke god when thats 1) lazy cowardice and 2) not the point of religion if you ask me. Religion certainly can and should be criticized but it isn't all terrible. If you're gonna criticize it, make sure you aren't doing it in a situation that isn't really connected to the point you're trying to make. If there are testable claims, they should be tested, but this doesn't exhaust the universe of questions that concern human life or are within the current limits of science.

I can imagine it would be hard coming to the realization that your father tried to kill your mother. Maybe at some point in the future they will come to terms with the truth of what happened.
At the time that this happened, the kids said get a lawyer. I don't blame them for that because they always look at the husband first. They wouldn't want him locked up for something they can't imagine their father would do. I can understand that, because I don't think my dad is capable of this, so I, being ex-law enforcement would tell him to do the same thing. But once I saw the evidence that he did even though I wouldn't understand how he could, I'd no longer want anything to do with him. If you've never been in this situation, you don't know what you would do. Especially if you didn't think your father was capable of it. I mean think about it, it's mom and dad!

The 911 operator was AWESOME!! First one I’ve ever heard that was easy to understand & gave the victim time to answer her questions. Also compassionate. She needs to go into the business of training 911 responders. ✨

The part that upsets me is the Operator immediately, already know the address. I think the first thing that needs to be said by the 911 Operator is.....
"I've already sent help out to you", then start with questions. First thing, calm down the caller. Great comment.
That's definitely a hard job to have. I've never done the job myself, but I had a friend who did. He talked about how people would call just to have to somebody to talk to while they committed su*cide. It seems like many people become jaded and lose their compassion as a way to protect themselves from trauma.
I was expecting her to ask where she was shot, and to give some advice on applying first aid.

It's a thankless job and you constantly deal with horrific calls from people who are experiencing the worst day of their lives. Also, you get a ton of stupid morons who are calling over the most ridiculously stupid reasons. It doesn't take long to become pretty desensitized and jaded towards everything. After awhile you just become numb to it all.
I disagree. She only asked about the suspect and offered no medical support at all. As someone who was a lifeguard for years, I found the operator's behavior disgusting.

Yes I assumed as much. In the moment, what they were feeling is that father is being taken away and mother is relieved and happy about it. It’s hard to process and they needed to do it.

That's not unusual if there is a history of domestic abuse in the family. The children will often side with the aggressive parent. There's often many years of brainwashing, and possibly monetary bribery and false promises, involved.

The worst part of this for me is that the kids showed their mom no support. I read an article about this case and it said that the kids didn’t reach out to their mom for a month after the trial. If my dad not only cheated on my mom, but got my mom shot… he’s dead to me. Those kids should be ashamed of themselves. She birthed you and you drop off when she needs you the most? Gross.

Survived being shot in the face, coherently talks to 911 operator, didn’t cry while a hole was through her head, stayed calm throughout the trial, showed no hate for the mistress, no brain damage after recovery, only lost an eye, still wears pretty makeup, not ruled by money or revenge, retailed her wealth and home, still living and prospering, held on to Jesus in the midst of adversity, and remained a kind a loving/forgiving person through it all - Yep! That’s pure strength!

This is the first time I have ever heard a 911 operator handle the call with perfection! The operator never told the caller to calm down or disregard her pain and fear. The operator let the caller know she couldn't imagine the pain she was in and reassured help was on the way. This operator needs to be awarded, and the audio should be played for trainees. God bless you mam, you are the example of the person we pray we get when calling for help.

It helped that Nancy was calm and answered every question. So many callers are understandably hysterical and don't give the 911 operator vital information that allows help to be dispatched.

The operator quickly explained that she already had help on the way before continuing to gather information. She didn’t blow past the caller’s concern or bully her into just answering questions. It’s a small thing, but I’m always shocked at the number of 911 operators that don’t do that. (I realize that the 911 calls that appear in true crime media are a small and often non-representative sample, but it’s still good to see that professionalism.)
