Enjoy Three Types of Valuable Traditional Food of Hunza only for you: Halwoshir, Osh and Kilcha

Valuable and different types of traditional food remained prevalent among Wakhi community of Hunza is seen to have been introduced practically in this video.87 years old senior lady Mama Bibi Husni Khan daughter of Muhammad Siyyab Khan and wife of late Hakeem Zafarullah Beg of Gulmit presents a demo here. Her grandson Sarmand Alyon Beg son of Ghulam Amin Beg has enthusiastically produced this video in order to leave a reminiscence in Islamabad. Mama Bibi Husni thus discusses that what were the importance of the Wakhi food such as Halwoshir, Osh and Kilcha. She states that her late mother Shafo’at Begum daughter of Arbob Gohar Hayat and her maternal grandmother Zawora Begum daughter of Arbob Diwon Shoh were specialized specifically in these three types of food and she along with her sisters learned it from her mother and grandmother. These three types of food were especially prepared and served to the Mirs of Hunza when visiting them or staying for couples of months in autum- winter in Gulmit.She describes that thre were other types of important food, too such as khista and many women from the settlement and area were experts and she mentions even some names.
The three types of food Mama Bibi Husni is seen to introduce here in the video to her family members, such as her daughter-inlaw Shamshad and daughters like Tajida Parveen (as she mentions their names in the video) and one of her grand-daughter Aqila Sultana. Some European guests of her son Ghulam Amin Beg were expected to visit them and therefore she volunteers to cook the specialized food to them and practically show it to her family members in particular and to those who are interested to know about these traditional food.
