Simon can do almost anything and his knowledge and work ethics are overwhelming . Everything done so precisely and beautifully and he’s a master at communication as well. He should have his own channel that’s for sure. Teaching us everything our parents never did. With a lot of history intertwined. I’m sure I could talk with that man for the rest of my life and never get bored!! ❤
I bow down to you Phil. I’m not a mechanic however it looks incredibly difficult what you have done so far and what you are going to do. Beer o’clock is important to not miss. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩
What a great day at the garage! So Phil, you have the piece you need it will just ne a "tiny" bit of welding and grinding as Simon says. You guys are too much fun. Cheers to Beers🍺🍺🍺
Great job Phil, sometimes it takes a few minds to come up with a solution to the problem: floor pan. Good to see Billy and Simon helping a bit and I think that pan it going to be fine in the end. Have a great day
Nothing better than male bonding over common likes & hobbies. I'm sure there was lots of jokes, fun & banter during the filming Phil. I always hung out with my uncles & brother in the shop. That's why enjoy automotive channels. Great teamwork!
My dad was a mechanic, this video reminded of Friday afternoons at my dad’s . Friends, neighbours and just random people would stop by as Fridays were the fun project days. Lots of laughs , jokes, and a bit of work and bit a beer..
Well done, Phil, Simon & Billy! It is amazing what you can accomplish when you have the skills and motivation to do whatever it takes! Great to see you all working together! Looking forward to the next video!
Great to see you all together having a bit of banter and encouraging each other theres a lot of skill and talent in the garage today. Nice to get to know a bit more about Simon too. Its allways nice to round the day off with a beer or 2 or 3 😊❤
Fun to see you three on Phil's channel and we learn a bit about Simon's history. He has to be the jack of all trades! Beer o'clock sounds very good! The pan is going to look really good once you get it all grinded down, primed and buffed, it would look brand new!
It's all in how you twist your mouth. Good Job figuring that out. Nice that you had some help - it's hard working alone, it's even harder when your cold. Enjoy your Beers!!
Phil, Fun vlog. Nice to see good hands on help..it'll be a lot of welding for you, but it will be good to get it done and to know that it's properly fitted. Cheers
Phil, you are a very talented young man! Your taste in dogs is also impeccable. I had a husky mix who lived to 17 years. Thanks for sharing your journey. Enjoying your videos from Texas.
More minds the better working on ole classics! Maybe ask Simon about the BMW & VW van give 2 cents worth. Remember where they are made. Pack your patience!
Simon you are a fountain of knowledge you all are really. Turning your hand to anything. I don’t enjoy cars but it’s you personalities I enjoy so I will keep supporting your channel 😊
I think the floor for these are designed for the discovery 2 chassis, so there isn't a dedicated one for the range Rover. Normally it's one large piece from the front up to and past the fuel tank hole with a one small panel at the back to cut and weld. You don't have to cut the extra back panel just weld if it is a long wheelbase range Rover (200mm longer) so there's always a little bit of a fettling to do with these floors. Obviously the postage system in France has made this more complicated with a few extra welding joints. Don't think it makes a difference whether it's French or English registered. Loving the content, keep it coming
My guess would be that they are boot floor repair panels, hence why they're oversized. Also, the fuel filler location moved on the later models, depends on the age stated when the parts were ordered or they just sent what they had on the shelf 😮
How many blokes does it take to fit a floor? Sorry for that weak joke, just had to, couldn't keep it in. Seriously, looks like the normal problems I encountered if and when I wanted to do anything on my cars. 👍😂
Phil great patience with all the advice and agreement with your original thoughts. Was surprised to hear? that the Rover was made in France OR the panels made in France?
just sad that they did not have undercoating on all classic range rovers like this anniversary edition would have kept it from rusting out . very glad your keeping it on the road for a new lease on life. probably now you realize you could have had to only make one cut and around inspection hole and just overlapped the rest of the panels and made a stronger boot floor of cours when is a boot not a boot but just part of the vehicle cab?

I bow down to you Phil. I’m not a mechanic however it looks incredibly difficult what you have done so far and what you are going to do. Beer o’clock is important to not miss. Thank you. May you all please take care and stay safe. Louisa. 👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️🤩🤩🤩

From my vantage point this was great entertainment! A classic case of using what you have.
Nothing better than male bonding over common likes & hobbies. I'm sure there was lots of jokes, fun & banter during the filming Phil. I always hung out with my uncles & brother in the shop. That's why enjoy automotive channels. Great teamwork!

Simon you are a fountain of knowledge you all are really. Turning your hand to anything. I don’t enjoy cars but it’s you personalities I enjoy so I will keep supporting your channel 😊

This is my understanding also!
😂🤣🤣 the 3 Musketeers🙌😆
lol that was excellent to see you men putting ball your skills to work.
Well done Phil😂
Is there anything Simon can’t do ? Nice to see you all together !
I’m surprised Papa Petherick hasn’t gotten involved. He could probably work on cars too😂.
My guess would be that they are boot floor repair panels, hence why they're oversized. Also, the fuel filler location moved on the later models, depends on the age stated when the parts were ordered or they just sent what they had on the shelf 😮
Good to see you and your mates. Beer-o'clock!😂
Phil in the ethers going, “hmmm.” 🤔
Beer o'clock. Crack On! 👍👍👍
This pedestrian is keenly watching: I never thought I'd be interested in a vehicle! Would it be intrusive to ask Simon why he changed trades?
Nice goin Bill, Phil and Simon. Looks like the floor shoulda came from Land Drover direct. Nice goin m8s, stay vertical Eh!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
How many blokes does it take to fit a floor? Sorry for that weak joke, just had to, couldn't keep it in. Seriously, looks like the normal problems I encountered if and when I wanted to do anything on my cars. 👍😂
❤❤❤❤
Phil, if Billy had gotten the one-piece floor panel, then nothing would have lined up with the model on which you are working.
Phil great patience with all the advice and agreement with your original thoughts. Was surprised to hear? that the Rover was made in France OR the panels made in France?
Good luck guys!😂❤
Flintstone Car 😂

Hope you injoyed your beer
I'd be buying a new floor that fits correctly! Too much mucking around! ❤😊🇦🇺
Seats in and it cleaned up and its ready to go LOL
Question didnt they have a long wheel base rover with longer rear doors and legroom in the back? Repair panels better then a doilly😅.
Id probably left the pieces overlapped and just notched out for the inspection hole
👋👍❤️
