Because nobody saw it or even heard of it happening, and if they did they'd forgotten about it..like I did. WCW had far more dreadful programming with main event talent. Undercard messes weren't worth the time to think about.

I remember watching the ultimate video music feud live. I lived in New York and not only was it rainy it was also slightly snowing too. So it wasnt just wet it was cold and wet. What I remember most was the issues with Kidman and Ultimo's choice, and especially Ultimo looking like he was freezing to death.

Folks always look to 1999-2000 when analyzing the WCW collapse, but 1998 was when things really went to hell. They had so much over talent who were drawing big, but the shows and PPV’s were always a complete let down again and again. Fans finally just gave up
The nWo would just NOT go away. At least the McMahon organizations would get comeuppance (In that era anyway.......) but the 119th nWo screwing, you just stop watching. I had watched WCW since 1995 but tapped put like late '98/early '99.
Honestly WWF was creatively and artistically better starting around May 97. Kind of mind boggling WCW had the ratings edge for about a year afterwards. Just goes to show how bad WWF was in 95 and most of 96 and lost a lot of their fan base during the beginning of the NWO run. Took awhile to get the fans back but if you compare both products on the whole (Raw v Nitro, House shows PPV'S and an overall fresh product) WWF was superior for a lot of those 83 weeks
I had known before about SnowBrawl and BeachBrawl, but this is the first time I have *ever* even heard of that Ultimate Music Video Feud. I'm amazed that MTV didn't just pull the plug right then and there considering how THAT show went. But hey, atleast BeachBrawl gave us prime Fear Factory, so that was nice.
Several years ago, I went to a TNA house show at the local fairgrounds. It rained throughout the entire show. All the wrestlers still performed despite the wet ring. The stage lights made the water splashing in the ring look pretty cool. It was a little scary when they did certain moves but (to my knowledge) no one got hurt.
Well Brian, we didn’t get to see you dressed up for Halloween this year. But this WCW/MTV collaboration was about scarier than Rick Steiner wanting to fight Chucky. Hell, WCW should had been doing Celebrity Death Match. You could imagine… Hogan vs. Savage, Sting vs. DDP, Steiner vs. Chucky. Lol
Fear Factory does kind of have a tie-in to wrestling. The guitarist, Dino, worked under a mask as a member of Brujeria. If you asked him about it, he would deny it up and down. Keeping kayfabe, brother!

Didn't do a heck of a lot from what I can remember, other than brood in the corner of the ring.. or sit at ringside with his flock.. but when he got spurred into action, it was often memorable. Never heard of this event, but him telling people to vote for Madonna so he can leave was gold.
