@@MusicalFreak812 it actually can in a way. you see gravity is something we cant touch soo as long as chuuya didnt use his ability on dazai but his clothes he can do that bc dazai cant touch gravity this lead that he can only cancel chuuya ability if he touchs him (sorry if my english isnt well but yeah that pretty much) and if the thing ı said wrong, dazai couldnt survive that elevator fall.
@@Laurel_09 Actually, I doubt even that would be possible, as Chuuya is shown to never use his ability on Dazai and I'd assume it's because No Longer Human also works at a distance if the abilty itself is touching Dazai (as seen when Akutagawa uses Rashomon on him from afar in the episode we're introduced to Chuuya), so it's safe to assume that Upon The Tainted Sorrow can't reach Dazai at all, even if by the clothes as this is something that's basically stuck to him when he's wearing them Maybe that's a stretch but there's a reason why Chuuya never uses it on Dazai as a whole and that's because of No Longer Human working the way it does Dazai can cancel the ability by touching the person, yes...But he's basically safe from any and every ability simply by existing, no ability could reach him even if other people tried
