Adventures of A plus K Wow there are so many. For me, probably Tostones (fried plantains) And Arroz con Pollo (chicken and rice.) and anything with guava and cheese!
The spice in the yellow rice should be saffron. The other side dish is yuca (cassava), a root the Taino indians ate in the form of a starchy bread at the time the first Spaniards arrived in the Caribbean. We loved your video
It really shows how much you two are enjoying Florida. And love all those classic opening shots and the fun B Roll. That burger looked delicious but wow the Cuban restaurant is a Foodies dream :) This was a especially yummy episode. Best wishes, James and Kim
So glad you guys took a rest day!❤️ it can get stressful trying to film it all. Def good to take a breather every now and then. Loved all the footage btw!!
It definitely is a lot more stressful than the vlogs may show (pretty sure no one wants to watch us stressed out lol!). We took another rest day last weekend and are trying to find a better balance between work, vlogging, and fun!
Oh I love the drone shots! A friend recently went there to attend bartending school. And when I saw that green house, (i dunno how you should call it), I felt so happy coz I love green in general. Haha. 💚
Your side dish is yuca delicious! A must have cooked as a potato and served with mojo sauce which is sour orange and grilled onion. Love, love , love!😋
That was a great vlog I saw the warning on instagram so I was prepared I supplied my own snack to watch 😁. The food the drinks just looked amazing ,great intro by the way made me 😁😁😁😁
That dish with the onions is yuca which is cassava. There are different ways of cooking the yuca, the way you had it was boiled with mojo which is a garlic lemon type broth with onions. Delicious! Great video guys!
Miami has some very beautiful water and the best time to go is during the winter time. Of course if you are in Little Havana you have to do a Cuban Sandwich with some fried plantains. What is interesting is Little Havana started out as a Jewish Neighborhood in the 1930s and didn't become a Cuban neighborhood until the 1960s. I would have to say the first true "Little Havana" would be Ybor city in Tampa. It was founded in the 1880's by Vicente Ybor who was a Cuban Cigar manufacturer. Cuban coffee is liquid life. It would wake up a dead person. You have to have a Cuban espresso with a Cuban pastry.
Hahaha “it would wake up a dead person” 🤣 We didn’t know it started as a Jewish neighborhood. We had heard of Ybor City in Tampa and we hear there’s a bit of a debate about who actually started the Cuban sandwich.
I had a distant relative named Israel, who opened a clothing store in little Havana in the 1970’s. He named it “Casa de Israel,” and had a Star of David on his store sign. Got the best of both worlds. 😂
Hey we just were at El Rey de las Fritas too! We could have run into you guys. We had our rescue dog Hudson with us too (who is similar to Kona but is gray and white). We loved their Fritas and hope you guys also had a chance to try a guarapo! Let us know if you are still in the Miami area as we are sure Hudson would also love to meet Kona.
We regret not trying a guarapo while in Miami! Next time! And we are unfortunately no longer in Florida (we post a bit delayed) 😔 but Hudson sounds like a cutie!
Thanks for taking me to Miami! I want to go there more than my husband so........we will probably never get there. : ( Love the chicken and rice (Arroz con Pollo), we ate it a lot in Panama and the plantains. The pork looked really good too. Maybe I could get my husband there if I tempted him with a cuban sandwich! He loves those!! Love the colors and the art work!
The food in Miami is amazing! Miami is a bit too busy for us and not ideal for van life, but we had a blast! Would love to go back to eat more and lay on the beach someday!
Versailles is touristy, but Cuban locals go to all the places like that too. It’s not like france or something where there are true ‘American touristy’ places. Thanks for showing the city!
The orange / citrus taste in the lechon is called naranja agria, it looks like an orange, but with much thicker skin and very sour its used to marinated meats. Awesome video 👍✌️
We drive over to Little Havana from Naples when we are down in Southwest Florida in the winter. We have only been to Versailles to eat and it is so good it’s hard to go somewhere else because we only get one time there but you gave us some good ideas to try when we decide to be more adventurous
You guys are in my home town! 😭 that side dish was yuca! I miss Miami! As a local you guys did an awesome job! 👍🏼👏🏼 3 national parks in FL. Hope you guys get to see them! Check out wynwood ❤️
She has been protecting the van! 😜 To be honest, vlogging with her is crazy stressful (we really have to focus 100% of our energy on her in public), so we haven’t been including her in them so we don’t have any meltdowns 🤣 But we are hoping to include her in one we are filming this weekend! We hate not including her since she is truly part of the family, but she’s a difficult one! 😔😩
Thank you so much! And thanks for watching! It’s been a few years so I don’t remember or have it written down. We use Musicbed for our music. You might have to ask Siri
As a half Cuban, I can tell you that Cuban food is amazing. Everyone should have Cuban food at least once.
We 100% agree! We'd love to try more Cuban dishes. What are your favorites?
Adventures of A plus K Wow there are so many. For me, probably Tostones (fried plantains) And Arroz con Pollo (chicken and rice.) and anything with guava and cheese!
Oh my gosh the guava and cheese combo is maybe the best combo on earth! 😍😋
Enjoyed!!
Miami is such an interesting city, from Little Havana to the Art Deco styled hotel's,it's always an amazing time!!😊🍁
We’re so glad Shari! And we agree! Lots of beautiful colors, beaches, restaurants, and architecture!
Those drone shots were awesome! Loved everything about the vlog...that shake and all that food...OMG! 😋 Good to hear you took a more restful day! 💕
We had soooo much fun with the drone in Miami!
Big thanks for the shout out guy's it made my day. I laughed so much. Now I need to go to Miami to check out the chicken. 👍👍👍
Hahaha glad you liked it Glenn! 🤗 Been excited for you to watch it 🤣🤣
@@AdventuresofAplusK it was awesome thanks so much!!! 😁

Thank you so much for watching! We definitely want to try yucca again!

We’re so glad y’all enjoyed it! This was one of the best food days we have ever had! Miami was such a fun (and delicious) city to explore 🙌🏼😋
That smile at 4:17 sold me on that Cuban sandwich. Had me salivating 🤤🤤 I’ll be in Miami next month and I can’t wait to eat!!!
Please eat an extra one for us! It’s so dang good!
So glad you guys took a rest day!❤️ it can get stressful trying to film it all. Def good to take a breather every now and then. Loved all the footage btw!!

Green is my favorite color too! 🤗
Love your tour of Miami and Little Havana! Versailles is so amazing! Its one of thewrightsights favorite places. Thanks for the tour!
We looooved exploring Little Havana! So cool to see the Cuban culture in the US!
Wow, that meal looks awesome, and huge portions. Thank you for sharing through your vids.
Seriously huge!!! We are very big on portion size and Miami delivers! 🙌🏼🍽
Best food tour, along with the colorful city streets!! I've always wanted to visit this city now it's definitely on my short list!!
Yes!!! Y’all gotta go! It exceeded our expectations!
Your side dish is yuca delicious! A must have cooked as a potato and served with mojo sauce which is sour orange and grilled onion. Love, love , love!😋
It was sooo good! Thank you for giving more context about what it is! 🤗
That was a great vlog I saw the warning on instagram so I was prepared I supplied my own snack to watch 😁. The food the drinks just looked amazing ,great intro by the way made me 😁😁😁😁
Hahahahah we are so happy you had a snack! What did ya eat?!
We are glad you liked the intro! It may have been our favorite yet!
That dish with the onions is yuca which is cassava. There are different ways of cooking the yuca, the way you had it was boiled with mojo which is a garlic lemon type broth with onions. Delicious! Great video guys!
Ah! Thank you so much for clarifying that! It was sooo good 😋😋
Adventures of A plus K of course, we have a couple cuban restaurants up here in Jacksonville Fl and people are always intrigued by the yuca 🤣
It’s definitely not something you see everyday!
Such a fun video! Definitely great food spots you visited in Miami 🌴
Thanks y’all! 💕
Great video of my old neighborhood! Glad to see it thriving!
What a fun neighborhood! 🙌🏼

@@AdventuresofAplusK Yeap, that is a big debate between Ybor city and Little Havana. For me being from South Florida, my answer is Little Havana.
I had a distant relative named Israel, who opened a clothing store in little Havana in the 1970’s. He named it “Casa de Israel,” and had a Star of David on his store sign. Got the best of both worlds. 😂
Versailles is definitely not a tourist restaurant. It’s the most popular restaurant in the area for local Cubans. So you went to the right place!
Very cool, loved the opening sequence, looked like a great time in Miami!
Such a delicious city! We miss that Cuban sandwich and batido everyday!
I'm in love with you guys. Your vlogs are beautiful, funny and quite refreshing. Loads of luck for future travels! ❤
Thank you so much for the kind words Amrita! We really appreciate it! ❤️❤️
I love Cuban food, especially Cubano Sandwiches
That sandwich was sooo dang good! We wanted to go back for more! 😋

Hahah it’s a fun and VERY a delicious city!
Great video .: you showed some great places .. I can’t wait to be living in Miami. .. I planing a move to Miami
Congrats on the move! And thanks for watching!
Versailles is touristy, but Cuban locals go to all the places like that too. It’s not like france or something where there are true ‘American touristy’ places. Thanks for showing the city!
Of course! We worried it was 100% a tourist trap, but we loved it!
What are the best authentic non-tourisy Restaurants in Little Havana?
Awesome vlog! Miami looks like a great place to visit!
We enjoyed it way more than we thought we would!
Awesome video! This is the first video I’ve watched from your channel it was really good and you got a new sub!
Thank you so much! We’re so glad you enjoyed it! 🥰
That dish with the onions is called Yucca con mojo. Yucca root with onions, lime and garlic
Great flavor!!!!!
Lol. I loved that movie too!!!
It’s one of our favorites!!!
Feel better soon, K!
Thank you! Finally feeling almost 100%!
Strictly speaking, Miami and Miami Beach are two separate cities, although the difference may be somewhat blurry.
The orange / citrus taste in the lechon is called naranja agria, it looks like an orange, but with much thicker skin and very sour its used to marinated meats. Awesome video 👍✌️
Thank you so much for the info! It was SO good!
Souer orange

Lots of yummy food in Miami!
Looks really good in the mami/homestead area right now definitely will go to these places love your videos!

Loved it 💙
Woo! We’re so glad! 🙌🏼🤗
So fun!!
It was such a blast! And very delicious 🙌🏼
Thanks for this vlog! Take care of yourself ;)
Balance has been hard, but we have been taking more rest days and it helps!
Come to Tampa. The Columbia in Ybor. That’s your Cuban sandwich!! Nothing compares.
Thanks for the rec!
Us locals don’t mind Cameras :) we are very friendly and tourists friendly too I’m glad y’all enjoyed our food
Everyone we met was very friendly! We always try to be respectful when filming.
Next time you come to Miami, we would love to host you at our Little Havana food tour!
Thank you!
What’s that music playing in the background in the first restaurant when the guy is eating the Cuban sandwich
Let me try to track it down and get back to you! We get all of our music from either Epidemic Sound or Music Bed though!
Conga by Gloria estefan
That side dish at Versailles is Yuca.
Thank you! We were so confused for a while. It was tasty though!
You guys are so cute. Thanks again :( I gained 10 lbs just watching you eat.
Hahahaha we were definitely in food comas for a bit. 😴 Thankfully we have started to share a lot of food when we vlog to avoid feeling super stuffed!
Glad you had fun. Where are you headed next?
We headed up to St Augustine next! That video comes out tomorrow morning 😄
Loved the video! Where has Kona been? I miss seeing her in your videos.
She has been protecting the van! 😜 To be honest, vlogging with her is crazy stressful (we really have to focus 100% of our energy on her in public), so we haven’t been including her in them so we don’t have any meltdowns 🤣 But we are hoping to include her in one we are filming this weekend! Probably the best Little Havana food tour video out there - really well done. What is the music at the very start of the video?
Thank you so much! And thanks for watching!
It’s been a few years so I don’t remember or have it written down. We use Musicbed for our music. You might have to ask Siri
Timba is the combination of Guava and Cheese :)
Thank you! I struggled to figure that out, but now I know what a popular combo that is! SO GOOD 😋😋
🙌🙌🖒🖒😙
🤗🤗
Hi guys. What's the name of the song?
Hi Caren! What part of the video? We download all of our music from Music Bed, which is a site we can license music from for RUclips.
The cuban locals go to el rey de las fritas, but not the other 2 places.
The white thing in the bowl is "yuca"
Unfortunately Versalles disappointed me I’m Canadian it did not taste like Cuban food in my opinion but the ceviche and empanadas where excellent
We're sorry to hear that!
the flavor is guava 😉
Food looks great... but man all those cigar shops!
There were lots of them!
I BEEN LIVING IN MIami since the 1960 we call cuban coffee cuban Jet fuel
Hahaha love it!
Yucca
