Roy is honestly one of my favorite lords in the series, up there with Eliwood, FE11 Marth, and Leif. It's a shame denounce Roy for not having a character by neglecting supports relating to him. Lilina and Cecilia's B support discuss how Roy has a bit of an inferiority complex, which is why he picked up swords as opposed to magic like his teacher.
Remember, the original Idunn's weapon (dark stone, I think) makes her untouchable if you don't have the binding blade (I wish they didn't remove it, cause Idunn with the dark stone would fit way much better with the difficulty of this game)

I have only played a small portion of Binding Blade (and it was all in japanese 😭) but from what I've seen Idun excels in every final boss category except for Gameplay. Idun>Grima>Fomortiis.

Andy Roy Eh, I really like Id ~ Purpose as well. The vocals, adding in some of Robin’s leitmotifs, etc. really make it seem like a heroic conclusion. Don’t get me wrong, the organ and powerful rhythm of this song are amazing, but they give a different message. This is truly Idoun/Idenn’s theme, it’s how she’s suffering and everything that comes with having her soul used to create monstrosities.

" (sight) the reason you get the illusion of this is that A: weapons in this game have way lower accuracy than in FE7 especialy the axes and lances.B: units and enemies have just about lower stats in every single area. Of course that also goes for hit-rate affecting stats like luck or skill .C and finally the units in this game has way lower def then in any other installments. Of course that means everyone takes more dmg so if some bullshit RNG actually happens it hurts much more then otherwise. Logically that makes you angrier when it happens. And thats the largest reason people imagine this games RNG is unfair.
If he promoted sooner and got the sealed Sword sooner he'd be much better. And he's more interesting than Marth in both character and Games. Seriously Shadow Dragon (DS) Was horrible visually and taking the support system made Marth and Co. much more 1 dimensional than Binding Blade's major cast excluding Lilina and Roy (to an extent Miledy).

(sight) the reason you get the illusion of this is that A: weapons in this game have way lower accuracy than in FE7 especialy the axes and lances.B: units and enemies have just about lower stats in every single area. Of course that also goes for hit-rate affecting stats like luck or skill .C and finally the units in this game has way lower def then in any other installments. Of course that means everyone takes more dmg so if some bullshit RNG actually happens it hurts much more then otherwise. Logically that makes you angrier when it happens. And thats the largest reason people imagine this games RNG is unfair.

What better way to complement the worst Lord in the series (at least as a unit) than with the weakest final boss in the series
If he promoted sooner and got the sealed Sword sooner he'd be much better. And he's more interesting than Marth in both character and Games. Seriously Shadow Dragon (DS) Was horrible visually and taking the support system made Marth and Co. much more 1 dimensional than Binding Blade's major cast excluding Lilina and Roy (to an extent Miledy).
I actually like the Shadow Dragon art style, it's way more memorable than other realistic artstyles
+Jacqueline Diaz New Mystery of the Emblem rectified many of Shadow Dragon's faults. Too bad IS panicked and didn't release it outside of Japan though....
