Haaland is literally the modern day lewandowski, i dont understand how people compare him to messi n Ronaldo, bro even the same has the same playstyle like Lewa
He is Lewandowski with more potential. Nobody knew who Lewandowski is when he was 22 and 23.
I think what attribute is often underrated is that he has a very high understanding of the game. We love to praise Müller as the Raumdeuter but criticize Haaland for the same playstyle. He scores a lot because of his physical ability but mostly because he knows in which place he has to be to score. Nobody knows if he will break the record or not but the fact is that he is striker like we have never seen before.
Who he plays with and how he develops is hard to predict. Ronaldo developed his game a lot after 30. Will haaland develop leadership and taking the game to his hands we will need to wait and see, so far he is not required to do that as much
It’s very rare someone so big strong and fast makes it to 30 without major muscle injuries it appears haaland is very professional in terms of keeping his body fit but I don’t expect him to have this level of speed he has now when he is 27 even. Could still be very effective but not the alien he is now
You're failing to take two important things into consideration- Regardless of the number, goals "count more" depending on the league they are scored. In the future, people will not just count the total number of goals Ronaldo or Messi scored, but the number of goals they did at the top leagues (if that isn't the case, we could cut the bulls*it and just say Pele scored 2000 goals playing with his buddies in the streets of Três Corações). Also, you can't just consider the club goals, but the international goals. Haaland also plays against the low-ranked national teams in Europe, so he is likely to score lots of goals there, like Ronaldo does.
He also plays in a low ranked team himself though, which means he won't score anywhere near as many international goals as Ronaldo, Mbappe etc as he just won't get the opportunities.
I don't expect him to be on Maradona, Pele, Messi, Ronaldo, Cristiano, or even Cruyff level of good, what I expect him to be is an effective goal scorer Just like Gerd Müller
one of my friend told me its unsustainable when you have tall player like haland building his game also around speed to sustain career as ronaldo or messi. the fact is his hamstrings are longer and while he plays longterm this speed physical machine style, he would start to be more injury prone. its theory but makes sense, lets see
More JJ Freedom!!! It’s what we love about Fifo. And more graphs based on no data. Love the data but some JJ chaos making his own graphs is so refreshing
For the amount of chances he gets and so many misses, guy will not last in the long run. As of now, the Messi and Ronaldo era looks unbeatable by any current players.
@@robinelliott-ni2ehhis ratio will go down after his prime man can't dribble doesn't know how to score freekick doesn't have good weak foot doesn't have skill to beat defenders can't score 40m goal like carlos, beckham and Ronaldo
think it's worth noting that by his 23rd birthday, Ronaldo had 102 goals for club and country. compared to Haaland's 231 goals for club and country by his 23rd birthday. Haaland's made a much, MUCH faster start, obviously heavily contingent on playing as a striker as opposed to a winger (Ronaldo didn't really become an inside-forward till 07-08) but the feat is entirely doable, for one, that 40.8 season average might sound like a lot, because in your head you're putting it down as hitting that 40 mark consistently not the case. so his goal tally prior to this season starting of 231 is 628 short of Ronaldo's career total Let's say he lasts to the age of 39 as well, so 16 more seasons including this one. that'd be 41.8 goals per season for club and country. Haaland grabbed 56 goals last season, let's presume he repeats that feat (when he could quite easily better it) for the next 3 seasons including this one, that'd bring him to 13 seasons left, with 460 goals left to score, an average of 35 goals a season, for club and country, that's entirely attainable, without even having to go out to the Saudi part-time league to bolster it too.
That's even before he plays for an uber eats league or la liga. Yes, he misses chances but Man City's playstyle does affect his goal expectations. He knows how to make runs, he knows how to control space & he knows the goal posts. He's only 23.
Except your calculation takes Ronaldo's longevity for granted. Haaland has already shown during his Dortmund days that he can be injury-prone, which is what one would expect from a footballer so tall and strong as he is.
Isn't it weird to judge a striker's creativity only on the base of dribbling and passing? What about creative runs? Imo that's more important for a striker.
He is built like a Range Rover SVR, strong heavy and fast. Problem is that the brakes will be worn out before the first year service. I really cannot see him lasting beyond 30. We have seen this before in the great R9…
He's got a magical way of always being in the right place at the right time, showing that he knows how to read the game, which is a good sign for his mental game and longevity.
I believe last season we saw signs of Pep holding him back and frankly, Erling is good enough to have the entire team working for him and the captain’s armband. After the treble I would have liked to have seen him move to Real or AC Milan as I think those two could give him more smiles per mile. Of course, he can still thrive and enjoy himself and grow at Man City but superficially something just seems off there between him and Pep whenever Erling gets a lot of media attention from his goals/records.
I think Ronaldo won’t retire until he’s scored 1000 goals as that’s the last real record he can possible break atm and seeing how he’s doing at Al Nassr and Portugal still he might do it. I don’t see Haaland being arguably better the other side of 30 like Ronaldo was which is crucial in the longevity of a footballer.
I'd prefer to have Kane than Haaland. For sure Haaland is good at City but I wonder how good he'd be elsewhere? He's not clinical enough in front of goal but again is for City due to their brilliant system and support players. Kane: Makes other players better, he's good at link-up and assist, shooting off both feet and heading (despite not being as physical as Haaland) and is clinical also. The video was good with comparisons but weak on conclusions - in fact the title was click-bait given this. I think looking at attributes in each player's game is more useful than total goals.
@pianolove5690 I'd be interested in how many goals he'd score not in City's system, such as Liverpool or Arsenal or Newcastle? I don't think he'd score as many. Or else Kane scored 30 goals for Tottenham last year, I wonder if Haaland would have scored as many? I don't think he's clinical enough in his finishing, he misses a lot of goals from positions where he should tap in.

I do watch city and if you had half a brain you would realise that Haaland is 100% dependent on city’s system he’s not R9, he’s not Messi or even Pele, he can’t create chances for himself therefore he is a limited player!
He was scoring alot of goals before city . He has done it all his life . Its not just city. I think it was pep instructions to have him in the box but it will change as he develops he is still young
A great player needs to create chances to score goals and also score them. Haaland needs players like KDB to function. His goals will be halved without someone to create chances. Thats what Alvarez does better he creates goals by himself

Exactly, there’s a reason you don’t hear Gerd’s name mentioned with those others very often
Let JJ do more of this- he’s charismatic
"Alright gaff, I got an idea for a video. It involves me playing football manager at work for a couple weeks..."
one of my friend told me its unsustainable when you have tall player like haland building his game also around speed to sustain career as ronaldo or messi. the fact is his hamstrings are longer and while he plays longterm this speed physical machine style, he would start to be more injury prone. its theory but makes sense, lets see
More JJ all the time. Give him his own podcast and I’d pay monthly just for that.
The scary thing about haaland is that he gets better with every match. it is mind boggling
Lovely touch having David Silva shirt up on the wall.
Loved watching this video and throughly engaging. Korea creativity from JJ!
More JJ Freedom!!! It’s what we love about Fifo. And more graphs based on no data. Love the data but some JJ chaos making his own graphs is so refreshing
I was starting to watch fewer of these videos, but JJ is back at it, and it's wonderful!
For the amount of chances he gets and so many misses, guy will not last in the long run. As of now, the Messi and Ronaldo era looks unbeatable by any current players.
Apart from the fact haaland has a much better goal to game ratio 😂
@@robinelliott-ni2ehhis ratio will go down after his prime man can't dribble doesn't know how to score freekick doesn't have good weak foot doesn't have skill to beat defenders can't score 40m goal like carlos, beckham and Ronaldo
@@rocky7263 it may go down but atm he is the best ever... until he takes some huge nose dive he is the best ever FACT.
@@robinelliott-ni2eh haaland is not even close to the best ever lmao
JJ killing it lately 🔥
R9 was peak in all 4 of those boxes - best striker ever by a distance.
I am absolutely HERE for JJ’s energy
JJ every other video: ".. BUT when you look at the data..."
Also JJ: ".. this [graph] is based on no data"😂😂
Thanks for the 10 likes, crazy!
think it's worth noting that by his 23rd birthday, Ronaldo had 102 goals for club and country. compared to Haaland's 231 goals for club and country by his 23rd birthday.
Haaland's made a much, MUCH faster start, obviously heavily contingent on playing as a striker as opposed to a winger (Ronaldo didn't really become an inside-forward till 07-08)
but the feat is entirely doable, for one, that 40.8 season average might sound like a lot, because in your head you're putting it down as hitting that 40 mark consistently
not the case.
so his goal tally prior to this season starting of 231 is 628 short of Ronaldo's career total Let's say he lasts to the age of 39 as well, so 16 more seasons including this one. that'd be 41.8 goals per season for club and country.
Haaland grabbed 56 goals last season, let's presume he repeats that feat (when he could quite easily better it) for the next 3 seasons including this one,
that'd bring him to 13 seasons left, with 460 goals left to score, an average of 35 goals a season, for club and country, that's entirely attainable, without even having to go out to the Saudi part-time league to bolster it too.
That's even before he plays for an uber eats league or la liga. Yes, he misses chances but Man City's playstyle does affect his goal expectations. He knows how to make runs, he knows how to control space & he knows the goal posts. He's only 23.
He also hasn't started stat padding against Luxembourg
@@chubs2312 nah he been stat padding against honduras lol
Except your calculation takes Ronaldo's longevity for granted. Haaland has already shown during his Dortmund days that he can be injury-prone, which is what one would expect from a footballer so tall and strong as he is.
He has tho. He plays those same teams. He also stat padded in norway and bundles liga
Please, where do i get those framed football shirt prints in the background??????????????????
This is incredible; good work
I love JJ's graphs!! Makes watching his videos much more fun ahaha
Haaland would be lucky to win more than 1 Ballon dior
Gerd Muller is an answer. The man scored so many goals and only won 1 Ballon D'or. He won trophies galore including a World Cup.
It's his movement more than anything. Most of his goal he's unchallenged
He's got a magical way of always being in the right place at the right time, showing that he knows how to read the game, which is a good sign for his mental game and longevity.
whoever gave u the freedom of creativity, just made the best decision for this channel, kudos
JJ is cooking 🔥
Haaland scoring 35 goals half a season in my fm saves.. I had to subbed him off everytime he had a hattrick (that could be at minute 30 or less)..
Simple, Goatness is'nt only based on talent. Imagine messi with a mentality of mbappe, then messi would never be considered as a GOAT.
Amazing video!
See you guys in 10 years. Am going to have a good laugh at this video in 2033.
More of this please!
Loved this, JJ becoming the TIFO IRl bossman. 👊
No banter just the truth, we need JJ explaining in every video
I'd prefer to have Kane than Haaland. For sure Haaland is good at City but I wonder how good he'd be elsewhere? He's not clinical enough in front of goal but again is for City due to their brilliant system and support players.
Kane: Makes other players better, he's good at link-up and assist, shooting off both feet and heading (despite not being as physical as Haaland) and is clinical also.
The video was good with comparisons but weak on conclusions - in fact the title was click-bait given this.
I think looking at attributes in each player's game is more useful than total goals.
You must have heard of Haaland after coming to City😂
@@elcapitan8769 Must or Maybe?
@pianolove5690 I'd be interested in how many goals he'd score not in City's system, such as Liverpool or Arsenal or Newcastle? I don't think he'd score as many. Or else Kane scored 30 goals for Tottenham last year, I wonder if Haaland would have scored as many?
I don't think he's clinical enough in his finishing, he misses a lot of goals from positions where he should tap in.
@@commentarytalk1446 I am sorry I should have said " you definitely had no idea about Haaland before he joined Manchester city. He has 86 goals and 23 assists from 84 games. How bout that performance outside the "city system" ?
@@elcapitan8769 Well maybe you also meant, "in the premier league" at a comparable club but also forgot somehow to say that as well... Afterall you presume to know what I questioned without being able to convince or offer sufficient evidence.
My supposition still holds: I don't think he'd score as much outside of City.
I think it's interesting that we're saying Haaland is clinical, being that his amount of chances missed for October was the same as Darwin Nunez (and it's not the first time this has happened).
I would love to see the same ‘Clinical, speed, etc.’ graph made for other footballers such as ronaldo, messi, etc
Genuinely love when jj just let's loose in videos! 😂😂😂 no cut in recording just pick up the camera and follow me over here 😂
This presenter is kinda special. Even my missus enjoys watching these videos and she hates sports. Hilarious, great delivery. Honestly impressive. I wonder how long it'll take him to get onto TV.
I'm here for JJ. Love the more creative approach again!
Man's bout to be a beast
These new humour filled videos are a joy to watch/listen to
JJ, for all that is good, never change😂
Need an entire video to state this? Any kid who watched him for 5 minutes knows that. Everyday a new “Football Analysis” YT channel comes into the scene detailing what we, poor spectators, couldn’t get from the game. Boring, but yet hyped.
For those just starting the video, not to spoil it, but that thing at the end really is very shocking, definitely worth the wait.
Hey, could you do a short video and explain why Eric Ten Hag keeps playing Rashford instead of Garnacho? :)
He can’t pass, he can’t dribble and he has no skills, once his physical attributes and Citys system becomes obsolete he’s finished.
He fails the eye test as well.
Tell me that you don't watch City games without telling me lol
I do watch city and if you had half a brain you would realise that Haaland is 100% dependent on city’s system he’s not R9, he’s not Messi or even Pele, he can’t create chances for himself therefore he is a limited player!
Bernardo Silva, Rodri and friends give Haaland LIFE!
So explain why he has more goals than games played this season without Kdb
these videos make me miss the tifo football show so much!
I actually appreciate the chaotic camera work
Need this as a series
Slightly-overdosed-on-creativity-JJ is my favorite JJ Bull
This is like old tifo irl. I like it.
they basically have had a series of internal meetings on how they can bring back the feel of the podcast to Tifo without bringing back the podcast itself.
