Saying Toney is a 14-goal-a-season striker based on his XG at Brentford is rather illogical, considering that better teams tend to produce higher XG for their strikers.

It is really weird that Mexico, a country that has historically struggled with set pieces, has produced the best set piece coach in the world in the form of Bernardo Cueva. Kind of ironic I guess.
Germany at world cup 2014 would reach the final without set pieces for example 1-0 vs france. Who trained the set pieces back then? Hansi Flick. Yes, Hansi Flick.
For the brentford corner i noticed they had two players off the pitch. In the Arsenal game yesterday the ref pulled them up for this, asking one player to stand on the line. Any ideas??
It's because we've had a plan and have stuck to that plan for a good 5 seasons now. We know what we want from our players, and we coach it into them. Which means that it doesn't really matter what 'formation' or tactic we play, as we can adjust seamlessly. Only issue comes, as in yesterday, when we do not finish our big chances and then turn off at the last. Didn't help that we're missing 2 of our most important players in Jensen and Rico Henry, as well as our other FBs in Hickey and Roerslev...plus Collins, Josh DaSilva, Toney, Schade...which is really tough on a club with a smaller squad. You'd think with Henry, Hickey, and Jensen, we would have kept up our concentration to defend against Saka late on. Plus, Onyeka always drifted to leave Zinchenko in space, which led to Arsenal's 2 best chances before the goal. Janelt would have got tighter in midfield, if Rico was at FB and Jensen alongside in midfield.
Haaland was the missing piece of the puzzle at City that brought the long-awaited first CL victory. (Yes, he didn't score in the final, but he didn't cost 100 million either)
Scotland have shown the value of a set-piece coach in hiring Austin McPhee. A decent sized proportion of our goals now come from corners and free kicks and it's because of his organisation and coaching. We're also better at defending them too.
£150m - £200m isn't required to buy a 25/30 goal striker. Haaland and Kane cost £140m combined. Take a look at the the 10 most expensive transfers of all time, and more than half are not out and out strikers (Grealish, Rice, Caicedo, Griezmann, Coutinho, Fernandez).
Thats a fair take But Its a bit of a dramatic take that it matters much more. Football does take a lot of tactics, but another very important part is training, simply getting better and more comfortable with the Ball, Which isnt really the same with American football since catching and running with a Ball in your hands is much easier than with feet.
@@liamconverse8950 What does that have to do with skill? I mean i guess it does take some skill to hold on to a Ball, But i Can gurantee it takes much more talent and skill to control a Ball with your feet enough to where 11 other dudes, and 4 perticularly Big dudes cant just kick it off you

I 100% agree, that’s what my striker would do in my tactics.
Yeah I agree with you, a great hold-up play is crucial during counter-attacks and a great pressing st will give more chance to other forwards.
And this is what makes Kane so good because he's both
This is why I think Toney would be perfect for Arsenal
Should be able to finish, too...which is where Arsenal screwed up with Jesus. Toney is a much better fit because, again, he does everything.
