EAS - The 2023 National Periodic Test

It's happened everyone! I went through many efforts today to ensure that my equipment would behave correctly during local emergencies, and now it's time to see how everything would react to a national emergency. Hope you all enjoy!

Seeing a couple videos, is this a house full of alert/eas and the like fellow geeks? Working in broadcast, it’s interesting to see that kind of gear in the wild, I would say your the CRD of alerts ha you should try to score an alertus system, not as old school but interestingish to play with

Alertus seems to be a software thing, although it would be interesting to tie into my EAS equipment as that seems to be one of its primary uses. I do also have a dedicated fire alarm system so I could easily integrate mass notification that way

It went off on both my android phones with the same exact message but the radio stations went off at 2:20 in my area I was going to record I was at school but all my teachers and my friends phone's were going crazy

I remember that too, I caught it both on radio *AND* TV, It's hard to believe this was 3 months ago, cause 3 months ago, i was sick, but now i'm not, hard to see time goes flying.
