Hello, thank you for your presentation of the cross strung harps. I acquired a cheap musikkon cross strung and have found it to be a good starter harp, to help me get used to the technique of playing a cross strung. The musikkon has 3 octaves and has a pleasing bright sound. The back of the soundbox has 2 veneers which are not strong enough to handle the harp by. So, caution when lifting it. Otherwise, I've found its a good starting point for learning the technique which is very different from playing a lever harp.

Thank you for sharing your experience! I agree that the Pakistani cross strung harps aren't bad, especially because there are no levers to contend with! 😊

Thank you for the presentation. I am a beginner, but like modern chords so this was very helpful in seeing the possibilities

Those big harps sounds so good. The Rebecca certainly has the biggest fullest tone but they all sound really nice. All of them are a far cry from my little 15-string Aklot. LOL.

A big soundboard and all those sympathetically vibrating strings make a huge difference! But the little harps hold a special place in my heart, especially that Aklot - I can cart it around anywhere with zero guilt 😊

@@MusicalMollyKhan Well that's good to hear. I like mine so much more since I fixed the string colors. LOL.
