OH MY GOD at how simple this puzzle actually is! I know that even though you can change your perspective in 3d, you still can only traverse as if you're on a 2d plane, but still...I was rotating the screen like crazy because I had realized that "wait that looks like it's behind that block but they need to be adjacent..." little did I realize that they actually WERE adjacent. I love this game, it gets the gears in your brain turning. Can get a little overwhelming though
This puzzle needs to be explained. The creator of this game, Phil Fish, made puzzles that HE thought were fun to solve, but for him, this is what indie games are about. Anyway, the video shows a glitched, fifth block, but you only need 4 cubes to solve it. Put the cubes on the pink lights and make the shape shows on the wall, turn the camera and make the new shape, without messing up the front cubes (fronts cubes may be to the left/right depending which way you turned the camera the first time.
I must've spent half an hour trying to make the patterns match with the side image but in the 3D grid in the platform before realizing I didn't have to do it that way. gdi
It has to render everything 3D. Sure it has only 2D sprites but everything is built up in 3D, like Minecraft. This makes that the game world turns smooth when you press A or D, otherwise the game would have to load in all the sprites every time you turn
This puzzle is an unexpected blemish in an otherwise brilliant game. It's not at all obvious that you can pick the blocks up, and the mechanics of throwing them is so frustrating. You'd think the fluro cube would tell you that they can be lifted.
I had the same problem. When I rotated the screen it didn't look like the one in this video either. You need to do it in the exact same order as he did it for it to work

It's possible to do without picking up block, actually. Just not on the same floor as in the video...

I immediately knew I could pick them up and throwing them isn’t hard at all, lol.
So true. That cube told me I could pick up bombs but didn’t tell me I could pick up cubes. Nor is the method of picking up cubes the same.
I just assembled the shape in the video and nothing is happening. Do I have to complete a story even before I can solve this?
