Good video but i'm surprised you didn't mention canoes. Canoes are very strong, whether by building a native trade post, or by choosing aztec, the latter being significantly more useful, canoes are essential. I agree with the points you made about stacking fish/whale upgrades, in legacy aoe3 the 'Schooners' card is essential but I'm not sure about DE. Aztec are the best naval civ full stop(in legacy at least, tbc in DE). although they may not always be able to support their navy as their economy is not as good as Brit/Port/Japan.
Any comment on the usefulness of the Dutch Fluyt? It's significantly cheaper and harder hitting than the standard galleon along with a higher build limit, some special cards, and a lower build and kill bounty, at the cost of less hp.
I'm sorry but I don't understand 1:17. Will the economic shipments sent by British help out the Japanese fishing boats? I don't think they are team cards.
Love this guide, 1 question though. How do i water boom with iroquois? I know their water isnt great on first impression but i feel like the 50 wood canoes with water dance is really busted for taking over water. Let me know if you agree it is possible
Aussie just a request to include a bit of text in video. It feels like I am listening to college lecture 😅. I mean like when you were starting Ag1 trickle strategy, you can just show a big bold title showing 'AGE 1 Trickle'. Just like you did in torp video(except that question answer part) .
They just nerfed Brit’s even more. Whaling card is now a team card only worth 15% increase… and they got rid of long range warships completely. Da fuck. Why are the nerds so mad at water players!?!
Just don’t do it. I average 99 boats and 40 settlers and it’s as strong as a 50-60 settler pop on land full upgraded. Water used to be amazing. Now… it’s just something to show noobs… oh look at all the dots of his color on the water
Gotta love the aussie way of pronouncing "wada"
Just like Modest Pelican ^^
"and it becomes clear to us, that they are doing a big-boy-boat-boom". Well played :D
This is just what I was looking for. thanks
thanks for all content on this game, really great and helps me a lot!
Great Video, really hope this helps more people get the confidence to not neglect the water
I would love to see a British Semi-Fast Fortress video, on a water map! It would be really interesting to see how it effects the build!!
Nice stuff!! That was a great video, thanks
One can hear “Rule Britannia” gently playing in the breeze
Oh no ..
Colonization flashbacks.
Behalwe as die golwe begin afrikaans praat
Amazing, just what I was looking for :)
"Inspect my deck pics"...bro, maybe theres a different way to say that
No. This is THE ONLY way. What else should he say? Cards deck? Pffff, no.
Be glad he's not a New Zealander
Another solid one, Aussie!
Great video!! Im loving it
Water-Torps for Sweden when?
you mean Wada-Torps
How did you not include the Aztecs they are insane on water
Love it thank you so much!
nice video
Ohh yes, the BigBoyBoatBoom and it's lesser known sibling the GoodGirlGoatGrowth..
Hey, which hockey’s are you using to build you wall like in 3:57.
It was a really good video, although I kind of expected to see a tier chart for water booming civs. I guess it was not meant to be this time...

I would like to point out you want to use galleons as a makeshift mobile forward base since they double as a barracks.

Rather the opposite. The Japanese will send the team fishing boats to help the British.
@@satyakisil9711 thanks...
What about the spanish fleet? I think it is the strongest one, after all those rafts, of course.

Thanks Drongo.
How do you know when to stop making fishing boats ? Do you try to evaluate how long you have before the fishes run out ?
The upper bound depends on the number of whales.
@@clementdenis4212 I believe youvcan get away with much more than 4x whales. And what if the map doesnt have whales?

are fluyt with +75% hp card worth it?
*cries in spanish galleon*
This was a very well made video, but having to subject my eyes to footage of that disgusting Florida map was torture.
What's wrong with that?
It looks like a standard Florida map.
Or maybe the trade was within monitor range which made it awkward.
No the Florida map just has really ugly textures and water lol
Florida is one of the best maps in the game
man i recenlly played with you so unpleassant

In my opinion, even after the DE versions, AOE2DE looks way more visually pleasing than AOE3DE.
Water looks good in Aoe3, everything else - Aoe 2.
