@@AussieDrongo I suspect AoE4 will have drop off points for the majority of civilisations. So I sadly doubt that they would unite along with there being no cards and so many other features that are only found it aoe2 :/

Thank you for creating this channel, Aussie_Drongo. It looks pretty nice and usefull. I love AOE series a lot, but haven't play third game in a many years. I only start exploring the game and swedish torp seems very powerful and interesting. Greetings from Russia.
I really liked the way you delivered this info. You absolutely should explore this method more often, there's so much detail in AoE3 that I don't quite know yet, like the chart for gather rates.
The biggest IQ manuever I learned from here is "Delete the Torp". Would have never thought "What if I just rebuild it". Also when you were doing the QNA kind of thing I thought at first this was a clip from a live-stream but then discovered you were doing a sort of satirical ted talk kind of thing. Was pretty funny.
Thanks for the video. Finally some numbers on the torps. It's really sad that information is not delivered straight from the developers so we players can make informed decisions. For the record, I liked how you explained the information and the depth of it. However, not a fan of the fake interviews. Keep up the good work though mate! Nice to have more AoE3 content creators!

Ive been looking for gathering rates , really wish their was some nerdy( cause i am ) large spreadsheet of gather rates and all the bonuses and cards. Thanks so much for this video
the question at 8:30~ has a slightly different answer in my opinion. with torps being bad on wood, I can agree with that, but the trees itself are useful, especially later in the game and on maps with little woods (great plains, or when turtling) you may be able to harvest the trees with villagers so you can keep on building and upgrading units when other civs may run dry
Could you consider recording in 16:9 resolution for future videos? It's practically the international standard and most monitors don't translate ultrawide resolutions well, there's crap tonnes of black space above and below your videos.
OMG this is great! I rarely comment on the only video, but I must tell you you are crushing it. Keep it up, mate!! I've been trying to get good with swedes on trearty, can I send you my record game and if you like make comments on what could I improve? I'm cycled right now. Max score is 2278.58
Question for you. With Torps - would it be worth it to invest in livestock pens to continue feeding the torps over the course of the game? I never use livestock pens but it seems like they would be good for the Swedes.
Torps seemed to be balanced around gathering from only either one source of coin, one huntable, one herdable, one berry bush, a number of trees, or one crate at a time... Instead, they can gather coin, berries, one huntable, one livestock, and several crates at the same time
Interesting, it’s like they took the idea of Napoleonic Era 2’s special torp (it was also the barracks) and combined it with Wars of Liberty’s Swedish Gathering Building (sawmill I think)
Could the tree card be good if the torpes are arranged in a way, that multiple torps gather from the tree they spawn. E.g. like a pentagon, so you have at least 5 trees each gathered by 5 torps. That way each torp gathers 15 wood as a baseline. If you manage to place them in a way, that each one has multiple trees from the map to cover, and at least 1-3 should be achievable, a single torp would gather 18-24 wood per minute, which is not to shabby since with careful placement even more trees should be in range per torp
How would the improved tree gather radius interact with the Finnish infinite tree card? What if you group your torps together near blockhouses? Is it still just better to use wood crates? How do coin crates compare to prospector wagons for Finland?
It was fun but ,basic delivery is fine. I too prefer basic delivery over stylized. Anyways it doesnt make much difference its just matter of preference. I Really Loved your Video.

Hey mate, so because Torps spawn with berry bushes already, you won't need to do that as they can only gather from 1 bush at a time, what will be best for you to do is this: In age 1 ship blueberries Age up with the logistician and use it to make the artillery foundry Put all your vills on wood once you're aging, make 3 torps while you are aging, Ship 2 leather cannons as your first card and after that 700w 600w, Once you are aged up, keep all your villagers on food except 4-5 on wood.
