I honestly agree. It's one of the greatest movies ever, and it truly stands the test of time. Now in 4K, it looks as fresh as the day it was made. A true masterpiece.
It is a classic. I personally prefer Raiders Of The Lost Ark but the best time period for movies is from Jaws to Jurassic Park, Or about 1975 to 1995, plenty of great movies came out before and after that time period but so many great movies came out during the 70's 80's and 90's.
the magic of CineFilm. You can always go back, scan it it again with better and more sophisticated film scanners and you'll be amazed what quality you can get out of it. It is completely different than simply upscaling pixels because filmgrain is never the same size or standard. Even better when you scan the original camera negative which have the highest quality without any photochemical copy-generations.
Don't need to make a remake of those movies. Just set them in 4k HD. And, like you said, people will think it's been shot yesterday. Those movies are so good they are their own remakes... :D
Alex R main reason people want a remake isnt for the quality tho, its to see the same/similar story and whatd be like with different actors and say going to 1920 instead of 55 or set in 2020 not 1985 oh and the visual effects, the og will forever be the best and greatest just as it is with other remakes, but sometimes is nice to create another, and if it flops who cares pretend it never happened and enjoy the og
Marty didn't realize it at that moment but the Clock Lady saved his (and his family's) life by giving him that piece of paper. Otherwise, it may never have dawned on him how to get back home.
It's always cool to see that Huey Lewis himself had a cameo as the judge with the megaphone to reject Marty McFly and the band despite actually creating the song for the movie. Awesome attention to detail from the director and writers. Love this movie!
My favorite movie of all time. All 3 never get old for me. I am always updating the versions I have so I already had this pre-ordered. Now can we get a proper video game with modern graphics and maybe the Eric Stoltz cut just for comparison value? 🙃

The opening is just perfect. People attending film school should study how this opening effiently sets up the characters and the plot of the movie. You get all these little informations that will payoff later. From the opening you note that some plutonium was stolen by Doc and he has a dog. Marty plays guitar and is really good with a skateboard, but Marty's family is losers and Marty intend to change that. All that without a single scene of exposition.
Don't forget, we also find out that Doc is obsessed with time (clocks all over his house) and is a keen inventor, foreshadowing his invention of the time machine. Brilliant film making 👏
First time I realize Marty says the exact same speech as his father when Marty talks to him about his books, when he gets rejected to play for the school.
Absolutely fantastic movie. I saw it when it first came out and it's just as good today...in fact, obviously, the color and sound are better. This movie will never die.
Friday 4th November 2022. It was my mother's birthday today. She was born in 1955! Her name is Jill. That's why Back to the Future reminds me of her. In fact both my mother and father were born in 1955. He is called Henry.1985 was a great year too. Thank you so much guys! Love from Virginia Clark.?! ;) ;( :) 😀💛🌈🌌🌍
It looks just as I imagined, natural with healthy grain as I saw it in the theatre. Film stock was not maybe as detailed as in other bigger productions, but still it looks more textured than most digital films today. Contrast is not boosted, and image is clean and stable with natural Kodak colors as in previous releases. I get to see details like Goldie Wilson ads in the car and much more! Careful restoration, finally without dnr!
This brings tears of joy to my eyes. I remember going to a friend's home back in 80s just to see his whole family watching this movie. Such a perfect world.
I actually met Christopher Lloyd at a convention in 2016. I actually hadn’t seen any of the films yet, though I had seen Angels in the Outfield as a kid, so I figured why not? It was near the end of the day, so he didn’t have much left. I got a Part III pic signed by him and later Drew Struzan, then got it custom framed and hung in my den.
I watched this movie so many times. Every take in this introduction has a meaning and is there for a reason. A lot of information is given but in a gently and cinematic way. And the music, please! By the way, I still want that skateboard.

I agree. I'm 40 now and love all types of films but this one has remained in my top 3 forever. This is better than The Godfather because of the joy and fun had when watching it and kids can enjoy it too. Everything about this film is amazing.
The 2k bluray remaster looks stunning, almost as though the film was made this year. That's good enough for me and those who don't have a super sized tv screen.
James Tolkan a very underrated actor for sure. He and Fox where never ment to get that close and touch noses while arguing, but Speilberg said it added a "realism" to the scene so they went with it. It's a crucial scene as "Strickland" See's Marty in the same eyes he saw his dad. The "Burger King" is in Burbank, CA Even though it's been remodeled it's still a popular tourist destination. 😎👍
Saw it in the theater. It's still my all time favorite movie. A few years back, one of my jobs had trivia at the Christmas party. The topic was Back to the Future. I won so many prizes that they told me I couldn't win anymore. Suddenly the other people at my table started winning. 😂
5:29 - 5:32 if you look at the reflection of the window where all of the aerobic dancers are waving, you can see the leg of the camera operator and camera rig
In a catch 22 irony twist, the head judge that mentioned that the music was "too darn loud" was Huey Lewis himself of Huey Lewis and the News. Lewis sang the song "Power of Love", the song that Marty played in the audition.
Hearing all those clocks ticking simultaneously and hearing them all chiming and ringing at the 4:27 mark reminds me of the song, Time from from the Pink Floyd album, Dark Side of the Moon.
You can't even count the details and hints to later events and quotes, depicted in the clock-flooded intro sequence, starting with the legendary Harold Lloyd-clock scene from "Safety first"
The first few times I watched this back in the day, I didn't realise it was Huey Lewis on the megaphone. Over the years I have spotted more things that are often in the background, like little Easter eggs waiting to be discovered! Brilliant movie, never gets old.
All this time (no pun intended), I now realize that Doc setting all his clocks to run 25 minutes slow was a foreshadowing stepping stone to his next experiment when he sends Einstein one minute into the future in The DeLorean.
The details of the events (major van, clock tower flyer, plutonium news in tv, Huey Lewis cameo, etc) are like an 8-bit computer adventure game, i.e. Monkey Island or Maniac Mansion; you enjoy watching them but they turn crucial after the puzzle starts to come into shape
Agreed. I just watched this side by side with the 1080p Blu-ray and have trouble seeing much of a difference. Every once in a while I can see some extra detail on something like the scanlines on the TV at the beginning or the bricks on the clock tower, but most of it is barely improved.
@@jjones2582 Watch it on a 4k OLED :D You can see dust on the close-up shots of the amp, the details on the old lady's sweater, the scanlines on the TV... It looks sharp as hell for a 35 years-old movie (it's as old as me lol)

@@TokyoXtreme i just assumed he took them all forward 25 minutes in time, put them back in the house, and then took Einstein to the DeLorean.
All that without a single scene of exposition.
you missed him setting up his mom to be "born a nun"
@@IvanAcosta1981 Yeah, and also "save the clock tower" , "re-elect mayor Goldie Wilson" and "some day I will get that four by four"
Don't forget, we also find out that Doc is obsessed with time (clocks all over his house) and is a keen inventor, foreshadowing his invention of the time machine. Brilliant film making 👏
And there is a figurine on a clock hand, exactly as happens in the third act.
4k really loves 80s movies. They just look so great when done right.
몇번을 다시 봐도 질리지 않는 영화....

First time I realize Marty says the exact same speech as his father when Marty talks to him about his books, when he gets rejected to play for the school.
Huey: I’m afraid you’re just too darn loud.
MJF: But you wrote this song!
Huey: I know, and 35 years from now, I'll go deaf because of it! 🤪
Didn't know this!! Thanks
@@Killermike2178 My dad has Meniere's too, so I understand Huey's fluctuating hearing loss
This 4k disc will support Dolby Atmos. Just wait until Huey hears them then lmao
I like Huey's version, but I like Marty's version better. I wish we could have gotten a whole song!
Amazing my God. This movie was from 1985 never know it in million year's. Picture looks amazing!!!!!
2K, 4K... 8K. Even 480p, the scene is so great. And when Johnny B Good arrives you only can stay shut and enjoy the magic.
I was SHOCKED when I saw how much more detail is in those Goldie Wilson ads. The entire clip actually. I noticed so many things I never saw before.
This brings tears of joy to my eyes. I remember going to a friend's home back in 80s just to see his whole family watching this movie. Such a perfect world.
The colors and sharpness are fantastic! So glad I've pre-ordered these months ago, the first time I will own my favorite movie!
5:39 I had no idea Will Farrell was in Back to the Future.
偉大なるSF映画の1場面に日本車の日産のサニーとシビックを登場さして頂き、尚且つ映像に残してくれて大変光栄に思います。
2160p!!😭wtf that’s clearer than my eyesight
@David Mander If notsxlgia wears glasses he/she probably wasn't being sarcastic lmfao.
Holy shit your correct
Oh I love the 80s. The 80s was the best time of my life, and it brings me a lot of memories. Wish I could go back.
Love how Marty didn't know what time it was, even though he's got a watch
he's constantly shaking his watch in the movie... it obviously didn't work right
I watched this movie so many times. Every take in this introduction has a meaning and is there for a reason. A lot of information is given but in a gently and cinematic way.
And the music, please!
By the way, I still want that skateboard.
The Classic That Never Got Old ❤💕
so much detail never notice franklins neck lines before, an the colors so vibrant an thats without Hdr

I revisit this film and the entire trilogy multiple times a year, and yet I always enjoy it every time, the first film in particular is what I call a perfect film, pacing is pitch perfect and the story and characters are so well realised😍😍
That's good enough for me and those who don't have a super sized tv screen.
one of the best movie opening Scenes ive ever witnessed !
เคยดูเมื่อนานมาแล้ว ชอบมาก ลืมฉากต้นเรื่องสนิม 100% เลย
This trilogy always been my favorite.
James Tolkan a very underrated actor for sure.
He and Fox where never ment to get that close and touch noses while arguing, but Speilberg said it added a "realism" to the scene so they went with it.
It's a crucial scene as "Strickland" See's Marty in the same eyes he saw his dad.
The "Burger King" is in Burbank, CA
Even though it's been remodeled it's still a popular tourist destination. 😎👍
the best opening beginning of any film, a masterpiece of "show don't tell"
Saw it in the theater. It's still my all time favorite movie. A few years back, one of my jobs had trivia at the Christmas party. The topic was Back to the Future. I won so many prizes that they told me I couldn't win anymore. Suddenly the other people at my table started winning. 😂
Saw this 40.000 times the amplifier scene. Laughing like the first time. Perfect from perfection.
5:29 - 5:32 if you look at the reflection of the window where all of the aerobic dancers are waving, you can see the leg of the camera operator and camera rig
Marty: "Yeah history gonna change!",,,,,,,,,,That's the whole sense of the trilogy of Back to the Future
I like this trilogy because all scenes are connected from each other, from beginning to the end.
The sound is crazy with 3d sourond. You even here the guitar pick in his hand when he plays with it before he blows up the speaker.
In a catch 22 irony twist, the head judge that mentioned that the music was "too darn loud" was Huey Lewis himself of Huey Lewis and the News. Lewis sang the song "Power of Love", the song that Marty played in the audition.
No shit Sherlock
Everyone knows that. You're just after likes.
@@yemi1776 Well, hell, you found me out.😒 Well, back to the scheming drawing board😏
Fun fact: Hillvallley High School was filmed at Whittier High School in Whittier California. President Nixon was an alumni there.
Hearing all those clocks ticking simultaneously and hearing them all chiming and ringing at the 4:27 mark reminds me of the song, Time from from the Pink Floyd album, Dark Side of the Moon.
Similar yes, if you crank it up!! 🤘
James Tolken, always played hardasses on screen, one of the nicest people IRL. Same w/ Tom "Biff" Wilson, he's a really good guy :)
I would open a cinema theatre licensed to play just BTTF trilogy 😍
I would watch every week
Please open up one near me lol
One near me too please
@tsorf Most definitely. I've watched BTTF at a drive in movie and it was incredible
You can't even count the details and hints to later events and quotes, depicted in the clock-flooded intro sequence, starting with the legendary Harold Lloyd-clock scene from "Safety first"
This opening scene tells you everything you need to know for the movie
Thank you for releasing 4k uhds! I have this preordered on Amazon. Please release The Thing next
9:05 Oh! Claudia Wells was/is so hot! 🔥
Yeah was just thinking that. Why'd they ever replace her?
Jay Aitch her mother was sick with cancer I believe so she left to take care of her.
7:26 is my favorite. I met her in 2014 and Bought Save the Clock Tower shirt
@@Glitch_Crazed jep indeed thats the story
I love how he says how historys going to change which Is forshadowing
The details of the events (major van, clock tower flyer, plutonium news in tv, Huey Lewis cameo, etc) are like an 8-bit computer adventure game, i.e. Monkey Island or Maniac Mansion; you enjoy watching them but they turn crucial after the puzzle starts to come into shape
Just returned from the cinema watching this one for the first time in many years. Got reminded once again of how awesome this movie is
The RUclips compression is killing the quality and details in the image, but gives a good idea of what the final product might be like.
Agreed. I just watched this side by side with the 1080p Blu-ray and have trouble seeing much of a difference. Every once in a while I can see some extra detail on something like the scanlines on the TV at the beginning or the bricks on the clock tower, but most of it is barely improved.
@@jjones2582 Watch it on a 4k OLED :D
You can see dust on the close-up shots of the amp, the details on the old lady's sweater, the scanlines on the TV...
It looks sharp as hell for a 35 years-old movie (it's as old as me lol)
@@Kerrogann - I can see dust on the amp and details on the old lady's sweater on the 1080p as well. Maybe my upscaler is doing wonders on the 1080p version.
I just hope it isn’t DNR’d like the Blu Ray was
It's a really great movie. I can watch it over and over and over and over again.
Amazing restoration - it actually looks like film stock now, unlike the 2010 Blu-ray.
I just recently watch the BTTF flims and it quickly became one of my favorite movie trilogy, especially part 2.
8:19 is the ancestor of that famous boyfriend cheating meme we see all the time
It's interesting hearing Huey Lewis' song that cane out the year the movie did and now that song is considered a greatest hit from the 80s where we still listen to it today.
This is literally the most-impressive opening sequence I’ve EVER seen...
For an 80’s blockbuster, that is.
I just love those judges who aren’t smiling or even enjoying it, they don’t even look the types who like heavy metal or rock & I like Huey Lewis playing one of them & telling them their just too loud.
I remember renting this when it first came out on VHS. I could barely make out who the actors were. Some things in life get better.
I have the original Blu-Ray box set of these movies and they look and sound great. This 4K transfer takes things to the next level plenty of more detail in the picture quality and vivid sharp colors. The sound quality has been improved as well.
