- As the snow melts away in Alaska, we continue to stay busy! Moving the bees, picking up and transporting solar supplies keep us on the go. Once we return to the cabin we have time to address an arising plumbing issue.

I just had to shear with the two of you. My 90 year old father has just moved in with my husband and I. So I do sit down to watch the two of you, My Dad tells me over and over how smart the two of you are. This makes my heart smile because Dad cant even remember who I am. Love watching .

best intro to a video i have ever seen on tube. the scenery and music was unbelievable.
I raise honey bees and another way you can move them short distances is to put them in total darkness for three days and then you can move them to any location. Doing that is like moving them 10 miles and they will reorientate to there new location.
We are speculating about what feature of the new cabin you are enjoying the most. I'm thinking the dining room table, my wife Tabitha thinks it's indoor plumbing, lol. We are excited about your new adventures...

Everything is looking great so far! One word of advice, if you don’t already please get yourselves a carbon monoxide detector seeing as how your water heater is inside. If the vent becomes plugged or freezes or the heat exchanger becomes cracked you could succumb to exposure in a hurry in a small space. Cheap insurance! Keep up the good work! Going to an exciting summer!

I grow lentils here in the central valley of California and have for decades rather than beans and peas. They are nearly weed-like in our area and I can produce a pound of dried lentils in about 1 square yard of soil- so that's a lot of protein in a small space.
