As some one who identifies as a country boy most people do not know what happens between catching the fish AND putting it in the frying pan. Shouting "grab the stick" and showing what the fish look like when you bring them home is refreshing. In other videos open carrying in the back country is also a refreshing to see. Thank you.

What a great intro. The scenery you capture is stunning. BTW I have a few favorite parts in this . Of coarse the scenery. Another, It took me a while to stop chuckling when Arielle was climbing up the path with 40 lbs of fish in a back pack . I like that Eric was making available and using a form of fall protection, and the wear life vest. Cutting and cleaning the fish was also a favorite too. It was very considerate of you all for showing this video with fishing. I know you have a lot of work to do with winter season on your mind. Thank you.😀

What a treat! Your nature shots were simply divine.❤ I'm so glad you got to take a break from work to fit in that annual tradition, a well deserved time away. I'm not a fish eater, for various reasons, but am the granddaughter of a fisherman who caught off the Great Barrier Reef. So do remember the differencethat wild fresh caught makes. Fresh water or ocean. Fresh caught wild Barramundi steamed with butter, salt and pepper was our family go to meal.
I love the way you two use as much of the fish as possible, nothing wasted. And have a good supply to see you through the season. Great video!

Another amazing fishing trip. When I first started watching it I thought oh no, they are going where the last time I was afraid you were going to fall in! This area looked a little safer than the last one. Loved how you figured how to carry the fish back up the cliff. Such a good idea.

one of my favorite bits of the salmon we harvested growing up in alaska was the salmon skin - we always de-scaled it when processing it, took a little bit longer for each fish but absolutely worth it… like extra crispy fried chicken skin when we fried the salmon with its skin still on 🥰 and we always made our popular filipino fish head sour soup 🥰🥰🥰

Just returned home to Texas from visiting my son in Anchorage. My second time since he’s been there. This time he went fishing and came home with, if I remember correctly, red sockeye. I pan fried it with a bit of avocado oil and seasoning. The absolute best salmon I’ve had in my life! He’ll be coming home soon. The experience with him and now seeing your video, it is definitely worth dedicating a trip there, just to fish! Magnificent! 💜
