The majority of ya'll asked me to do a tutorial video instead of a livestream so here it is !! This took me a full day to render 😭👍 (also this definitely isn't an excuse to draw Mono, six, and RK happy again tee hee)
Also, please remember that my way isn't the only right way to animate! there are so many different ways to get the same results and that's fine 👀

I normally use about 10-12 FPS (frames per second) for my animations!

Hey thank you for the recognition! 😭💞 I'm honored;; (I do have a suggestion though,, please bring back the old pressure sensitivity settings from older flipaclip because they got weird after the most recent update :") sorry if this is out of the blue hahah,, there is a delay with the thickness of the brush when you press hard on the screen and it really throws me off because pressure sensitivity is what I loved so much about drawing on flipaclip 💦)

Yeah I tried to do an animation but it crashed like 100 times on me

I'd like to just say thank you for this. I have searched all over youtube looking for a video that explains animation in a way that I, and I'm sure many others, can put to use very easily and today I found this video that did just that. I love the fact that it wasn't just a sped-up video explaining along the way and that you showed each step and explained in a way that was so simple to understand!

since im still working on my handwriting to make it neater, i also use Pixel Studios. it's fairly simple to work with.

An easier way that I colour is if you have flipaclip premium, you can copy the entirety of your lineart layer, then use the fill bucket on the one bellow the other lineart. This keeps the lineart edges clean without the need to keep copy and pasting the lineart. This also means you can colour by hand for small details the fill bucket would miss and do shading on a different layer then the lineart and colour. If you don’t have premium, you can just copy the lineart onto a different layer every frame.
This is such a good tutorial! Everything is explained clearly, instead of people just talking for 20 mins about practicing or saying “follow what I do” it actually explains everything. Before watching this I was completely clueless, and now I’m already much better of an animator.

In flipaclip, when tweenjng zom in so you can see every pixel, this makes it easier to move it since the pixels are clearer to see. I've done this a few times and it makes it so, so SO smooth.
This was amazingly helpful but may I say your handwriting is absolutely gorgeous!
For the white spots i just use the paint bucket tool twice over the line art an then fill it in wit color
i tried all of these and this tutorial is so much more useful to me that others because it actually gives you improving tips rather than just saying “try again” or “practice every day”. thanks for making this video :) my animations are looking cool so far and obviously i will practice doing this more

I don't even use flipaclip but these are all such helpful tricks! Even little details like the bounce effect can add so much charm to an animatic, I'm not a very good animator but I'd love to try these out
