Yes it’s a good video and beginners can learn so much from this. Problem is that for one year only 1% players watch it, and it’s mostly guy’s who already have decent knowledge.
I disagree sometimes with the YOLO. If one tank charges and draws their attention away from the rest of your team and your team charges after you they will be caught off guard. If you charge and your team just sits back then yea it was a waste. Sometimes you have to lay on the wire!
1:36 I’m no long time player it’s only been a year but I absolutely hate it when people start whining and calling they’re entire team trash when they decided to make a bad move and got themselves killed thinking themselves as higher ups because they’ve played for a long time and thinking that the entire team revolves around them it’s absolutely infuriating
The go with your team is situational, but a good rule to follow I believe is make sure you're with at least 2 other tanks. 1 or 2 tanks can't hold off an entire flank. As for Lights and meds, some maps have clear heavy lanes and Med/light lanes. Heavy tanks are supposed to be in the thick of the fight and in the front lines and the lights/meds job is to make sure they don't get flanked as is the case in maps like Copperfield, while TDs should decide which side to support depending on whether or not the team has more heavies/mediums both independent of and in relation to the enemy team. Heavies are strongest in corners where they can sidescrape and hide weakspots, maximizing the use of their armor. Mediums and lights are strongest in open ground with rolling hills where they can maximize mobility and wreak havoc(although in certain situations city streets also make for good flanking areas as long as the heavies hold the line and maintain their HP. Tank destroyers are varied but there are generally 2 types - Assault TDs and Glass Cannons. Your grilles and Wt.auf.Pz.IV are classic glass cannons and should stay back whereas something like an AT-15 should be right alongside heavies. This is just my opinion tho, feel free to disagree Edit: Focus Fire whenever you can, the less guns for the enemy team the better
If you gonna skyline yourself to spot you cant just sit there. Spot quickly and pull back. Plus it looks pretty when you pull back and a bunch of missed rounds fly over your head where your tank used to be.
I'm a new player and doing better than most thanks to Meadsy videos I agree with everything he said but what stands out to me most is communication just like when real soldiers go to war they communicate on how they are going to take out the enemy what strategy or tactics are more affective most players don't communicate with their team and rage when they loose or make mistakes😂🤦🏾
Good video Meadsy, good to release this one every so often, with more added tips light bulb ammo selection not to get into a crossfire situation etc, this will even refresh older players too, cheers.
Great job! You should do videos on the play style of each type of tank. More basic, cover equipment, consumables, and crew skills. Wotb needs more videos like this. Kudos for helping the community.
Sometimes going on your own pays up too. I usually use my TD and find a good spot to hit enemies on a long distance or go for their backs and i had this battle in copperfield where 5 of my teammates charged at the other side and 2 of us TD went the opposite direction near the base. Our teammates got wiped out by all of our enemies and the two of us just chilling there at the base capturing it. The enemies were too far from the base after they finished the 5 and were rushing towards us but its too late, we ended up winning the game via capture hahaha
So many times also I’ve seen a tank try to track an enemy with only their turret.. like an e100 trying to track a medium circling it and only turning their turret. Turn your hull in the same direction and your gun traverse goes up.
Thank you. I'm a new player and I have probably done half of this without realizing. I have also witnessed a lot of this and not known whether or not I should be annoyed.
Meadsy, can you please do a video on capping, as in when's best. I've lost too many (low tier) battles to muppets who go straight to cap instead of fighting. Useful video 👍
Only time I find accepted is if your team is getting pummeled and you are trying to draw some of their tanks away. Or... if a super slow tank is on Cap side of map and team is on opposite side. Dont waste your time driving slowly to the fight. Just cap and hope you pull a couple tanks away from the fight. If they respond to the bait you can shift the tide for the rest of your team. Just be ready for the incoming response.
Your a 58% any tip that comes from you is not considered a “Pro tip”... I am not a salty +60%, But you have to be at least a 60% to be called a Pro. - sincerely 57% :-)

Wow. So much of the terminology and therefore applying it's mechanics just clicked. The narration was relatable and made me interested enough to pay attention. And that is no small feat. I gotta say that you nailed this lesson to the wall with a xbow, and then added led lights and lasers u can see in space. Ignorance was shitty thanks for fixing me. Happy new years.
Thanks, Meadsy, for talking to new players and not about them. P..S. And thank you and Chonfelito and Cantius and all for making thoughtful videos demonstrating the lessons. "No U." "No U." How droll.
Hey Meadsy, when can we expect a video on the Top 5 most broken/op tech tree tanks? You mentioned youll make it after the top 5 prem op tanks. Hands down, the Jadgpanzer IV in my opinion is the most op tech tree tank rn. 3.2k dpm at teir vi, great mobility, great traverse, good gun, good accuracy, good pen, good alpha, great camo, decent armour (gun mantlet and low siloutte make it hard to hit). Anyways, Keep up the amazing work you legend.
1. Jagdpanzer 4 2. Tiger 2 3. VK 36.01 H 4. FV4005 5. E50M or IS-4 6. VK 30.01 P 7. Tiger P This is my list, obviously it may be different than yours, but I'm open to suggestions :D
A couple of exceptions to the "use the tank as their designed", a KV2 is much better being used like a TD, while it can be a front line tank if fighting one on one, but the turret will get penned by pretty much everything out there especially when it's a 2 on 1 against you, also, the van helsing works better as a heavy because of its amazing upper glacis.
you can't do it like pc, but you can lock your gun on target by using "look out area" thingy in settings. Step 1: you need a spotted enemy Step 2: turn on autoaim (I prefer old over new, this one is on by default if you playing on mobile devices) Step 3: point your gun towards part of enemies weakest armour Step 4: hold a finger on look out area thingy (tank's gun is now locked onto enemies armour you were pointing before) Step 5: profit
it is fairly good at tracking, but I only advice to use it if you are trying to run away while still being offensive, as you can look around while the gun is still locked on.
Good video for all not just the new players. One you missed.....don't push a teammate out into the open.....if I go back to low tier, its amazing how many times I'm pushed from behind
Good video. But this game is dead. I played 13 games today and lost 11. And from those 11 i was 7 times by far the best player. And im not that good. I belive i was playin with 3 yearolds and bots. RIP wotb
I've played about 1k matches so far so I'm somewhat newish. This is the first time I've heard some of this laid out and explained. Most of it is common sense and ive picked some of it up along the way, but I appreciate you taking the time out to help us bottom feeders 😉
On high tiers the number one issue is FRONT LINE heavies sitting in back. If your front line E100 and mouse sits in back you will often lose. Its very frustrating because the MM is based in part on HP on each team and if those front line guys don't do their share.... its very hard to make up for the loss. If a med or TD doesn't do a lot of damage you can usually make up for it. But if the heavies don't push the front line... you are done. Good video
I understand following your teammates but to me to play the game right teams need to cover your flank. I see it all to often when team all go one way they get attacked from the front and back and most players don't use their mini map and stay in scope mode so they don't know what's going on around them. Also going one way players bunch causing jams blocking teammates shots and blocking a teammates retreat causing them to take unwarranted damage.
I thought I knew it all (not good at it), but some more tips to add to a good game. I see ALOT of don'ts and that has keep me in the game longer. Good stuff, thanks
its not a complete guide yet it still has many acception 1. no scope in some situation is a must such as play active spot elc and found some tank by serprise 2. somtime go for dmg is better if still have your friend with lower alpha to take care low hp enemy
War Gaming really needs to add these types of videos to the in-game tutorial. I had a battle yesterday where it was down to a 2 on 2. There was an enemy Smasher, a near full health AT something, myself and a teammate in a SU-100. I shot the Smasher making him a 1 shot for the SU-100 and then the Smasher killed me. Both the AT and the Smasher were right in front of the SU-100, but instead of killing the Smasher, my teammate in the SU-100 shot the near full health AT. By then the Smasher was reloaded and shot and killed the SU-100 for the win. Had the SU shot and killed the Smasher instead, he would have most likely been able to handle the AT which has a very low alpha gun. The SU-100 was up on a small hill and was able to drop back behind the hill after each of his shot so he would have been trading his 400 alpha shots vs. the AT’s 160 alpha. Bottom line if he shot the low health Smasher instead for the near full health AT, we very likely would have won the battle. My teammate made 2 mistakes. He did shoot the 1 shot tank and he didn’t shoot the mist dangerous tank. Always focus on the most dangerous tanks first.
For focus fire and take out lower hp tanks, i dont think derp tanks apply to much of this. If a tank is very low health, low dps tanks go for it. Derp tanks, like e100, target higher hp tanks for tabks like obj 140 to finish with ease. I sometimes see stuff like a jag pz e100 shoot a low hp tank, making it harder to kill a higher hp enemy
Great video... not a new player but nice to know im thinking the same. If you block players accidentally say so... if you do it on purpose all the time expect to run into someone who will get you killed from your own team. Because YOU SHOULD KNOW BETTER.
The only one I disagree with is the first one. I disagree because I play Cromwell a lot and go alone on the far sides and I usually come up behind TDs and strong tanks with weak backsides. This distracts them and causes them to turn around and focus on me, allowing my team to move in.
I quit playing this game a month ago and boy have I been feeling better since then, I dont have to break any more things because of missed shots or not being able to pen premium tanks , and shitty matchmaking. Best decision I have made so far
I'd add don't chase. I've seen so many times where 2-4 tanks will turn and try to chase after some dope whose just yoloing through and that means the 5 reds coming behind him are suddenly aiming right at the weakest part of those chasing tanks. Let the dope move through, hit him if you have a shot but don't start acting like he's the only red on the map.
Need to teach the difference between a TD that supports from the rear and one that camps. If your supporting from the rear and your team is engaged and you do not see any opportunities to shoot you need to reposition yourself. Your a supporting tank, not a sniper hiding in the bushes. "Fire and manuever" is a tactic that never changed. Sitting still is death for you and your team unless you have a VERY optimal position.
T28 HTC is totally a frontline brawler, especially if it's an even map like Dynasties Pearl or Himmelsdorf, front armor is hard to penetrate, depression angle can be an issue if you try to take a hilltop position
Good vid i agree. Us 40%'ers, it's all our fault. Team looses, our fault, 30-40% ers -- this isn't a term.... It's a made up term/phrase specifically coined to segregate a group of players to blame for everything. In each battle, you can only affect 14 % of the outcome. That's it. That's all. Unless every other player on both teams are pro players and do a bang-up job playing their best game ever, then one player is not going to have more than a 14% effect on the match. I was sincere however that this is a very good video and very informative thank you.
Thanks for this video meadsy. Hopefully players see it and take it to heart. I know I need to stop raging.. ;P One other thing, as playing your role, is don’t go to a TD spot, as a light/med/heavy, esp a heavy. Been seeing it a lot with the chieftains and now the Kpf70s, new players who just bought the tank, sitting with the TDs on mines etc.
This video is the answer for nubs problems in the game lately. Whoever watch this vid, must recommend this to nubs you meet this battle. Insulting them is not helping they will sucks forever, instead make them watch this vid so they can learn not to be idiot in game !!!
Solid advise. I intend to incorporate a couple of these suggestions as I feel a little foolish not using common sense approaches described here. I am a 40% player that never realized going it alone was partly responsible for my 40%. Thanks for describing and reasoning these situations clearly.
It depends on your team quality a lot, many times I have beaten the team where all of them were on the same side but nubs, staying out in open, not moving etc....
1) I must disagree with sidescraping in the IS5 because of the pike nose. Reverse sidescraping - sure. But doing it with the front facing the wall... You pull back to take a shot and your preangled pike nose turns to an almost flat angle. If the is capable at thinking and breathing at the same time they will shoot the nose. 2) The "unicums" are usually the ones sitting in the back with their heavies, because they get to farm damage, stay alive long enough to do it with the tough armor and pad their stats. Telling them to actually play their tanks role usually ends up with being spammed post game in private chat on how you're a noob and how you should uninstal. Usually a Lowe driver does this. It seems that Lowes attract a certain group of people that either just got up to tier 4 and bought a tier 8 premium or someone that has 7k battles and considers themself a superunicum with 55% winrate. 3) I'd add the ,,it's not all about you" mindset. Yes, you're playing for damage and experience for yourself, but if you see a teammate screaming for help, just go help him. If he's a oneshot, drive in front of him and use your tank as a shield. 9/10 taking that extra hit might win you the game, because in the end, that's an extra gun on the team. 4) I'd add the fact, that you shouldn't use HEAT on spaced armor like on the super pershing or sideskirts on the E100. 5) In a 1v2 situation, if possible use one of the enemy tanks as a shield against the other one, to make it as close to a 1v1. Make the enemy work for the damage, conserve your HP, make them waste time. 6) Supremacy is about caps, not kills. Don't ignore or drive past caps. It might just cost the game.
One thing to mention is that if you are mid to low 40% player...do not tell the team where to go ... unless you have reviewed the red's lineup and determined where you have a tactical advantage...either going the heavy route or going the light/med route. I have seen so many sub 45% player direct the team to go a direction in contrast to where myself or others have called and we get wrecked because they don't know what to do and how to do it. If you are a heavy you need to play like a heavy...not a heavy identifying as a td... IMHO
I personally dont use the adrenaline for the gun...i use the engine boost. The gun adrenaline is useful but it doesnt rlly help me out cause in most circumstances i will make sure i have support or I will be completely isolated from my team either cause of lack of communication, or the fact that the all died before getting any shots off. I find the engine boost more effective at keeping me safe than the adrenaline. "Your best offensive is the best defensive"

Your grilles and Wt.auf.Pz.IV are classic glass cannons and should stay back whereas something like an AT-15 should be right alongside heavies.
This is just my opinion tho, feel free to disagree
Edit: Focus Fire whenever you can, the less guns for the enemy team the better
Idk why but at 7:03 when that type 62 got ammo racked by the Death Star it just cracked me up
Lol, yeah. He looked so small and confused, almost like a cute little curious frog.....then he just 'sploded and sent parts flying.
Lol i was the is5 was like: oh shit.

"Talk to the team. *Sometimes* they listen"
I know it's true but it still sounds depressing
Sometimes going on your own pays up too. I usually use my TD and find a good spot to hit enemies on a long distance or go for their backs and i had this battle in copperfield where 5 of my teammates charged at the other side and 2 of us TD went the opposite direction near the base. Our teammates got wiped out by all of our enemies and the two of us just chilling there at the base capturing it. The enemies were too far from the base after they finished the 5 and were rushing towards us but its too late, we ended up winning the game via capture hahaha
Lol
This needs to be posted in the game some how!!!!!!mandatory watch lol
On the focusing part, it's very true. In my experience a good platoon which focuses fire can almost always carry a game
Great video meadsy! Very helpful
?
How is this comment 1 day old

@@dave4164 ah makes sense
So many times also I’ve seen a tank try to track an enemy with only their turret.. like an e100 trying to track a medium circling it and only turning their turret. Turn your hull in the same direction and your gun traverse goes up.
Meadsy 69: The Minimap is your best friend.
angga_el: The minimap is not my best friend.
If u know what I mean...
One thing that i think should be added is to support the higher tier tanks on your team!!!
protip from a 58% winrate: know your damn tank, search up blitzhangar and find your tank's weakspots, then during battle adjust.
Your a 58% any tip that comes from you is not considered a “Pro tip”...
I am not a salty +60%, But you have to be at least a 60% to be called a Pro.
- sincerely 57% :-)
@@grm0x4q12 I'm using the 58% for others to understand that it works. Because I have a pretty good winrate. Never mentioned anything related about being good, just saying that I win more often
-sincerely 58% :)
Good vid man. Really helps
Foch 155, e50m, is4, black prince, tiger 2 for me
Tiger 2, Stug 4, Waffle, Black Prince and Panzer 3 are my choises
1. Jagdpanzer 4
2. Tiger 2
3. VK 36.01 H
4. FV4005
5. E50M or IS-4
6. VK 30.01 P
7. Tiger P
This is my list, obviously it may be different than yours, but I'm open to suggestions :D
@@mayankanand6733 i agree. Tiger P i feel is not as op as it used to be, foch 155 is def broken, not by a lot but still.
@@EconomicsMate1 oh yeah forgot about the foch, I'll definitely put it at spot 3 between the tiger 2 and the vk, thanks for pointing it out :)

Thank you for this video. Great advise especially about don’t rage. Keep up the great work!
Tag another BlitzTuber to make a "Do's & Dont's" vid and tell them to do the same so it becomes a chain
Very much needed thanks!
Yesterday idk why but it’s like I forgot how to play and I got like 5 doughnuts in like 20 battles
Can u do auto aim on mobile?
If u can, how?
Joerg Bretten go to setting and find the auto aim
you can't do it like pc, but you can lock your gun on target by using "look out area" thingy in settings.
Step 1: you need a spotted enemy
Step 2: turn on autoaim (I prefer old over new, this one is on by default if you playing on mobile devices)
Step 3: point your gun towards part of enemies weakest armour
Step 4: hold a finger on look out area thingy (tank's gun is now locked onto enemies armour you were pointing before)
Step 5: profit
it is fairly good at tracking, but I only advice to use it if you are trying to run away while still being offensive, as you can look around while the gun is still locked on.
@@DearHRS ah OK ty I actually knew that way but I thought there was something like the pc auto aim but there isn't ty anyway
@@DearHRS The gun turret stops rotating when you are in lookout mode
i would like add one more thing, if you have a team mate from a good clan, protect him, the longer he\she lives the better your chances of winning
Do's: Have fun
Donts: None
Wrong and please stay below tier 5. Thanks.
RIP wotb
Nice video and best advice for any game ever "Don't rage"..
Their are a lot of nub teams out their, sigh.
Good video
An excellent video. Should be a mandatory video for new players.
Good stuff, thanks
its not a complete guide yet it still has many acception
1. no scope in some situation is a must
such as play active spot elc and found some tank by serprise
2. somtime go for dmg is better
if still have your friend with lower alpha to take care low hp enemy
This was a great video. Lots of good information.
Thanks Meadsy 👍🏼
For focus fire and take out lower hp tanks, i dont think derp tanks apply to much of this. If a tank is very low health, low dps tanks go for it. Derp tanks, like e100, target higher hp tanks for tabks like obj 140 to finish with ease. I sometimes see stuff like a jag pz e100 shoot a low hp tank, making it harder to kill a higher hp enemy
Nice guides man! Keep it up! Its very useful.
Sooo funny.... start to finish! Chuckled all the way through it 🤣🤣🤣
Thx to your tips my win rate went up 1 percent. Doesn’t sound like a lot but my winrate was dropping a lot and seeing it go up was a relief
I love you meadsy. You and bushka makes the game just much more fun :)
I know I need to stop raging.. ;P
One other thing, as playing your role, is don’t go to a TD spot, as a light/med/heavy, esp a heavy. Been seeing it a lot with the chieftains and now the Kpf70s, new players who just bought the tank, sitting with the TDs on mines etc.
even older players still need some reminders thanks meadsy
3:23 never have I ever heard such emotion in a statement before
Great video Meadsey. One of your best I think. These things took me forever to learn and some of them are so basic.
This is a movie that every new player should watch !!!
That intro is dope🔥🔥🔥🔥
13:48 Dont No scope
6:25 No scope
Thank you for taking the time to make this. Very well done.
Thank you very much, this was very helpful.
When your engine catches on fire but you accidentally use the the multi repair kit to fix the tracks or just healed your crew.
I only rage when the game starts lagging
Can we appreciate the mad lad in the M3 Stuart
It depends on your team quality a lot, many times I have beaten the team where all of them were on the same side but nubs, staying out in open, not moving etc....
Very useful info/tips. Thank you.
Sorry, this turned into almost a rant. ^^`
IMHO
meadsy is a legend my wr moved so good after watching his videos
:D
I personally dont use the adrenaline for the gun...i use the engine boost. The gun adrenaline is useful but it doesnt rlly help me out cause in most circumstances i will make sure i have support or I will be completely isolated from my team either cause of lack of communication, or the fact that the all died before getting any shots off. I find the engine boost more effective at keeping me safe than the adrenaline. "Your best offensive is the best defensive"
Med: heavy is heavy
Me who plays a the KV-2 as a medium of tank and always win battles: I AM A JOKE TO YOU.
Thank you I'm a new player this will help me^_^
