- In today's video, Eric has a very special guest on the channel. Ben from @spanglerforge1849 also happens to have relevant military training so Eric and Ben discuss the theory behind how the military builds squads, how that applies to MilSim and airsoft, and some of the basic movements that can benefit your squad as you step into MilSim events.

Apologies for the loss of camera focus at the end, battery died and restarting the camera messed it up but not enough to be obvious in the moment. Hope you enjoyed despite any technical difficulties!
SUT has been on my list to research. Thank you for shortening the time to first look and providing a reference to additional resources.
Dry Erase Boards are the best!
Bring back Ben from SpanglerForge for more!
Im from Roxhester! How have i never seen your videos before!?!?
This is the kind of lessons I never find myself dozing off to.
I hope more MilSim event organizers (implement or atleast encourage) small unit tactics instead of just making players do whatever the fuck they want for 24 hrs.
Greetings from the Filipino MilSim Community!
Is anyone else seeing Seth Rogan or just me? 🤣 Great content lads!
Met both of you guys at Mt. Balkar and expected this video within the year.
YES MORE BEN
Great video. I think this should be one of the biggest things for milsim players should learn.
Good info!
10/10 would recommend
they way i see it the best squad composition is 1 machine gunner, 1 dmr, 1 sniper and the rest have rifles or smg's and maybe a grenadier but grenadiers will have to have to have squad members carry some of their munitions.
IAR open bolt full auto…. Ummm no.
Currently we have 13 to a squad, SL and 3 fire teams. 3-4 squads to a PL plus PLT SGT and Commander. While all of the Maine infantry has M27s doesnt mean we are just blasting away in full auto. The idea is if we need full auto support anyone in the PL, SQ, or FT can pick up the rate of fire to accomplish what a 249 gunner would be doing but without having to move a specific person to a sort of support by fire pos.
Does militia/rusfor faction follow russian squad roles?
Are you still sponsored by River City? It says so in your bio, but I don’t think I’ve ever heard you plug them?
Sound quality was pretty bad this video
