I’ve always found consumer behavior very interesting and it was one of my favorite topics at university. In this video I will dive into The Diderot Effect, explain what it is as well as how to avoid falling into the trap.
The book referenced to in this video is called Atomic Habits by James Clear: jamesclear.com...
Also mentioned is The Paradox of Choice by Barry Schwartz: / 10639.the_paradox_of_c...

This happened to me many times already! I saw something that I liked (for example, a sneaker) and bought it only to realize it didn’t go with most of my pants, I so bought one or two new pants to go with it. Nowadays, if I like something and realize it won’t go with most of the rest of my wardrobe, I tend to end up not buying it.

Good for you for identifying this behavior and being able to change it! ☺
