- "There is no denying the sting of rejection. These painful moments can bring up questions about ourselves, others, and maybe even God.
How can we begin to move forward into a place of healing and strength?
We don’t have to ignore the pain, but we do get a chance to defy it. Jesus invites us to shake it off (see Matthew 10:14 NIV).
Instead of carrying that rejection with us, barricading our belief for better, we can be people who carry on confidently. We can learn to let it go, lift our head, and keep moving.

My mother told me when i was little "no one will ever love you" i carried that in my heart for 40 odd years. Thankfully God chose to set me free from that & help me to realise someone does love me, unconditionally & whole heartedly, his name is Jesus. Now I'm just sad for her because she & my entire family are still living under the deception of satan. I pray one day he will have mercy on her & set her free too. 🙏
That's sad that a mother would say that to a child but I'm happy you found God, Jesus!!

Great video and very insightful, I think we all should know that God is good and sometimes he pushes you to places and opportunities you never knew you needed. I just got to realize that trading comes with a lot of benefits And I have just bought my first house through it. Thank you! This has been a pattern in my life, however, recently I was fired from a job I loved to do. The pain of this loss was I was fired by my manager who is also our associate pastor. What made this so painful was it was based on false allegations made by someone who wanted my position (actually they got that a few months ago) that apparently wasn't enough, so they wanted me out of the business completely. For me the position had been about service and the person is not a believer. I have wrestled the last three weeks with this. It has been devastating emotionally and financially because I also support my aging mom. It's just been a very difficult month. But I have to say, this podcast has ministered to me and I'm seeking God's direction and I'm seeking for God to break this pattern of rejection as well. Bless you both and yes thank you again.

I'm struggling with being ghosted by my wife, my father rejected me and passed away a few months ago. My life have fell apart and its all too much and I feel destroyed. I'm struggling and that prayer hit me hard. Thank you!!

Hello! I enjoy the topics. Very insightful. I do find it difficult to listen to due to John oftentimes not being able to finish a thought or statement without being cut off.
Wooow!!! I really wanted to hear what Mrs. Lisa was saying about the rejection of starting something new. That's exactly where I'm at in my life. God is trying to teach me how to not allow anything outside of Him to challenge the validity of what He leads me to start. But the apprehension of rejection causes me to not give 100% of my efforts, time, and attention to what God leads me to start. I need help.
I love Lisa's analogy explaining the difference between being friends "with the world" vs. "to the world." I've never heard it explained that way before. I've been a Christian most of my life but have always been confused by the Bible telling us to hate the world while telling us in John 3:16 that "God so loved the world..." I hate to say it, but I can understand why some non-believers say the Bible is full of contradictions. Thank God for opening our spiritual eyes to understand. Praise God for breaking the stronghold of rejection off my life. I've been praying for this for many years.

Every word you have spoken mirror images my life and the amount of rejection I have endured, my reactions to rejection, including rejecting myself and pushing others away, rejecting others as I feel rejected. Rejection is a spirit...that's what i learned,seeing all the manifestations around my wife...all her live it was rejection...she is a survivor of abortion,her dad tried to kill her with a knife in the womb...her mother being beaten and kicked ....but my wife survived...she met Jesus when she was 3 and 7....and now she is a prophetes....and again you see rejection all around her...but now we know it is a spirit,she can look at it with another perspective...it is not the human that is speaking rejection,but the spirit /demon,within that human...so now she can still love that human that speaks filthy about her...but in her thoughts she fights with that demon.Love your teachings John!...keeping me focussed and get me kicked under the butt sometimes.Love your book and presentations about the awe of God...God bless from the Netherlands and i will definitely get the app!!

As a pastor’s wife it is really difficult,doing ministry in midst of rejection is really a challenge but God is using people like you to actually strengthen young pastors like us .

So thankful for this truth.. keep sending your messages out to the world.. we need them.
Thank you for teaching me how to overcome rejection. On another note, the Holy Spirit has taken me through dealing with worry, and just this weekend, the Holy Spirit said to me, list what is making you worry. Give me your worries, and take My peace. I had a vision of me handing over the list of worry and taking the peace offered.
But I have suffered rejection for decades. And I've tried to overcome and accept and forgive. I've forgiven the people who rejected me. But the gaping wound was still there. Rejection has not stopped.
I look back on my life and I wonder if some of the rejection was based on my actions because of the symptoms of Bipolar I've had for decades. If the behaviours are symptoms bipolar was unknowingly leading people to reject me. Or if it was that people just did not want to be around me.
Thank you for acting on the request by the Holy Spirit and praying.
And telling me how this wound, that I've carried for so many years, can be healed. I accept God's word to replace those acts and words that wounded me like an arrow shot straight into my soul. Well this is a long message. But I just had to get it out of me.
Super timely as I'm trying to face the emotions that have surfaced with so much fear of rejection my entire life. It's paralyzing sometimes! Hearing your encouragement to apply Matt 10:14 to this area and shake off the rejection, to not carry it into the next relationship, the next season, etc is so empowering! Yes, I have a pattern, a root of rejection and I need to command the strongholds be pulled down in the Name of Jesus!
I've also been dealing with the heartbreak of seeing my grown children reject what they were spiritually raised up in and feeling like a failure as a mom. I literally journaled those words about them rejecting this past week! Thank you for the encouragement that their story isn't over! Continuing to pray!

Thank you so much for your podcast. I listen regularly. My sister was an overweight little girl through the seventies. She was persecuted unprovoked so much. She's a sensitive individual and fights shame and self sacrifice constantly. I'm sending her this link. John, I felt the spirit touch me when you spoke. Please pray for my sister to look up reach out and to listen to this message. She's a tormented soul. She's been an alcoholic and has turned from that. She wants to do better but can't seem to even hold her head up. She's recently started turning angry and bitter. Very unlike her natural loving self. As she reacts more negatively, more rejection from ppl at church has taken place and She's isolating severely. 😢🙏

I definitely going to use the word crickets instead of ghosting... lol. I just heard the word Psalms 40- pslams 45. Dealing with being a people pleaser, discouragement and disappointments... I am exhausted alot, people shame me and treat me and my family really badly. We have days we feel really lost but we keep going... wow, the Lord helps us to keep going... my husband (whose profile I am using to chat to you now) has just gotten really ill and it's brought more shame... he is so strong but I feel I can't even be close to him on that level because I constantly fighting off things or worried about fighting off things the right way. And in truth, I really miss the Lord... I know His there all the time and He is so good... but for some reason I afraid or prideful or ashamed or just tired or even angry... i feel empty and sad... something is wrong... but this prayer you prayed is helping me to reach out to God... because I love Him and miss him so much, I am His and He is mine. I am afraid with all the stress... I will become angry all the time, I will look at the negative... I miss my children and my husband will disappear into the background. I need more then one prayer request... I need the Living God

Can you maybe do another video to talk though walking out of this? I totally resonated! I really appreciate the part that about tearing down strong holds. Are there more tips? You touched on behaviours that cause others to reject us. Does that get changed through understanding God’s love or is there more? I am afraid to engage in certain relationships right now but I know God doesn’t want me to give up on them but I am keeping distance which isn’t great. How do I build healthy relationships again? Also thank you Lisa on touching on mom guilt. I battle that as a mom despite my best efforts we are struggling in some areas and that compounds the discouragement with outside relationships. Thanks

My wife abandoned me and our two kids after ten years of marriage. She threw us away like trash. My kids were being abused and I never even knew until she left us. At first I was so devastated and I didn’t want to live. I never had pain this deep. I’m healing but your message is a great encouragement.

Super fast with this lesson, it's too many important things getting skimmed over I feel.
I deal with rejection quite a bit. I get really stuck on little things I do wrong. And feel like God is rejecting me for those things. Even though my mind knows it's not true, my heart still feels the rejection. Please pray for me brothers and sisters.
To avoid Rejection ( Matthew 5 n Romans 12:9-21) : forgive n rejoice and move on. You are blessed when people insult you, reject you- so forgive n rejoice.
You are blessed:
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.
How to move on : forgive n rejoice n move on.
12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

If Your Brother Sins Against You
🔆When you forgive them and share the truth in love. But if they accept and rejoice.
🔆but if they don't accept - leave them in God's love n forgiveness ( love them from a distance) - don't have bitterness but have forgiveness removes bitterness.

Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Ephesians 4:31-32
If you sin and you go ask them forgiveness - if they accept it ( that's ok, that's fine) - that means they have accepted it.
But if you go ask forgiveness - they haven't said anything - leave it in love n forgiveness 💜 - you have done your part of forgiving n left in God's love n forgiveness.
Love the lost but saying No( self control ) to worldly passions.
Boundaries:
🔸Saying Yes or No is not a sin
Just say a simple yes or no, so that you will not sin and be condemned.
That means you are not rude or judging them and it's not a sin saying Yes or No.
🔸SELF CONTROL means saying No with love n truth.
For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. 12 It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, 13 while we wait for the blessed hope-the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, 14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what is good.
15 These, then, are the things you should teach. Encourage and rebuke with all authority. Do not let anyone despise you.
Say Yes or No:
🌼 Saying Yes or No - is not a Sin.
🔆not sure / confused/ false - No
⭐sure/ truth - Yes
⭐No : it is self control and fruits of the spirit ( good fruits - Heavenly wisdom)
Getting rejected :
Due to insults - forgive n rejoice.
Due to doing good ( avoiding sin- worldly passions ) - saying No and sharing truth in love.

What about when you feel as if everyone around you rejects it? I constantly try to stay in tune with God and share about him but I get zero communication from others when I try to bring it up. I have no one in my family who goes to church, no friends my fast is bad, but I changed. Now I feel so isolated.

Hey John have you ever thought of tongues as the language of creattion? What language was God speaking when he said Let there be life? Team Jesus Ministers u tube why did God create air? Sound waves of authority are only for those who breathe it!
