I truly get emotional when I think about this podcast, the work you guys are doing seen and unseen, and a messenger X app.
I do not get much time to spend in the word of God in my difficult season as a nursing student. Y’all have truly been a blessing in my life.
I don’t know what I would do without looking forward to my long car rides to the hospital where I feel like I get to talk about God with y’all, my fellow friends. The messages I hear through your books is truly what fuels the level of patient care I provide each day. It strengthens me to have a joyful attitude even when I feel spread thin.

I feel what Lisa shared so much... sometimes it is very hard to be "willing" to obey... I do feel that obedience is a choice... and choosing to obey despite how we feel is still "willingness"... and I pray that GOD "rewards" us by softening our hearts each time we choose to obey regardless of our "willingness" until our own hearts' desires fully line up with HIS and obedience is simply obeying with joy 🙏🙏🙏
Yes...💃truth be told God does not always ask us to do 'easy' stuff and He knows it. That's why He gives us time to come around. It might take a while for one's attitude to be accepting of it all and God doesn't hold it against us. He also values honesty. ❤

I am FOREVER changed by the Word of God through Johns book "Awe of God". I live in Sweden, and I bought the book to my mother, and then to my husbands whole family.

I just have to say that seeing you two gives me so much hope. I’ve heard you both talk about the hardships you faced in your marriage and seeing how you both love one another and have a strong marriage even after all the hardship gives me so much hope, especially after seeing so many Christian marriages fall apart. May the Lord continue bless you both in your ministry so that you would be a strong light and encouragement to others as they enter into marriage life.
When we focus on our identity in Christ and the inheritance we have in & through Him, that’s what transforms our behavior. We don’t obey to get blessed or “eat the good of the land,” that sounds more like the law. When we grow to know the Lord, he changes us from the inside! Good behavior does not equate to knowing Jesus. It’s all about His goodness & His perfection, not our own.

My pastor just preached on this verse Sunday ("do not be weary in well-doing...", and I've seen it come up two other times since then - God is speaking to His Church!
You mentioned Cain and Abel. Was shepherding easy? We read about David’s experience and he faced lions and bears. Farming was done close to the house, shepherding forces the shepherd to lead the sheep away from familiar surroundings and likely facing mortal danger. Just sharing.

Look. Jesus knew who he was. He was God in the flesh. He knew his purpose. He knew. The problem is people already struggle with their identity and stack that doubly of everything else that we humans struggle with. So when Jesus suffered. I can’t say that was equal. He suffered but he had motivation. Our motivation is faith. That is much harder. Also why do we need to still suffer with sin and anxiety if this is all ready won. I look at this world and the sin has won. So not sure I understand.
Is long term obedience long suffering [aka patience]? 🤔

I really wish you wouldn't talk over each other. Both of you have insight, but your revelation is lost because you frequently interrupt and talk over each other. Please let one another finish the thought, and then you can contribute to the discussion. Theses interruptions at times can make your message incoherent and diluted.
Friendly tip: Lisa, you are a smart Bible teacher. However, when you say “Wow” to something John says as if you have never heard it before, it’s very fake and contrived. I know that you mean to really highlight something for the listener, but maybe think of another way to do it. This makes you sound like John is teaching you and that you don’t really have any value to add as a teacher yourself. Love the videos content otherwise. 🙏🏼
