I always wonder what the Fear Of God meant, in my daily reading it would always catch my eye and get a hold of my wonder. It got so hard to shake off that I ask the elders of my church and people mature in the Faith what it meant, but all I would get is that it's just reverence and honor torts God. That answer was never enough for me because our God is Mighty I felt like more was missing and had to be something more deeper then just (humanly honor and reverence). A few days ago I started studying the book of Revelation and it talks about the 7 Spirits of God, and guess what one of them is the Fear of the Lord, and here I am listening to your video today. I have just been blessed. I pray that you John and Lisa are blessed and that the words placed in your mouth will continue to pour out clear as day in Jesus name.
How horrible would it be to hear "I don't know you" but I don't want to approach and get intimate with God because I am afraid that he would tell me that. I don't want that to be my motivation to know God intimately. Like John says, it all starts with the fear of the Lord, to be in awe of God, to contemplate His glory and his love.
I love listening to both of you because when I listen to John, I end up with more questions and Lisa usually touches them. But I have one that seems pretty elementary, and I feel dumb asking. I keep thinking of the Lord's prayer, however, it does not address the Holy Spirit or Jesus. For the longest time I would address all of my prayers to Jesus. But then I felt The Lord show me I was doing to Jesus what the Israelites did to Moses. They wanted him to be the go between, with God. Then after a while, I started feeling sad about the Holy Spirit. I felt He was being left out or ignored. So, when I saw John's book, Awe of God, I had to get it. I am in chapter 35. I'm sorry to go through all of that to get to my questions: When I pray, who am I addressing the prayers too? Do I acknowledge Jesus aside from in asking in Jesus name and do I acknowledge the Holy Spirit in prayer? Or, I know its too late to shorten it up, but, does it matter? I would love some thoughts on this...
Thank you very much for this revelation you sharing with the body of Christ as confirmation to wake up those asleep towards the powerful message to again take dominion for the glory of God to share the gospel at this time.! Without faith we can not please God, and if we dont communicate properly, we are lost... Thank you again for the encouragement to continue the journey with truth and eagerness to draw near to God as never before.!
