A few months ago the song thank you came on a tape that I didn't realize it was on and it came on and I had to sit in the car and listen to it and not go in the store yet I had to hear the whole thing with tears streaming down my face because my husband loved that song too and we actually saw Ray boltz sing live in Angwin, California. I remember we were so excited to go... It was great it was packed, we were glad to be there with other believers... Anyway I was sitting in the car and that came on and it just hit me like a ton of bricks, as my husband recently passed away... And I had forgotten about that precious song and not only because we loved that song but my husband had led me to the Lord and the very first church service I went to at Berean Baptist Church, in Rohnert Park California, we were probably 30 minutes late I showed up at my boyfriend's house and I said let's go to that church you mentioned and we went and even though I was late, I heard all I needed to hear and gave my heart to Jesus. Such an incredible feeling I'll never forget, I thank God for my husband for leading me to the Lord and also the pastor that day that spoke truth... That I needed to hear...! I grew up knowing nothing about the Lord and my soul needed and craved everything I heard. So this really saddens me. I have nothing against gay people whatsoever, I think that they choose that lifestyle and I will let God do the judging but I think he's pretty clear in that he wants man to be with woman, in every part of their lives, together as one. I've been getting back into ray boltz here lately(sometimes you just wanna hear something a little softer). I grew up on this man's songs. You couldn't go to a church camp, revival, conference, turn on the radio, or sometimes even just go to church without somebody singing one of his many Christian anthems. Tobsay he was iconic would be an understatement. That is why I will always be disgusted by how he was treated by his fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. When he came out as a homosexual (and therefore decided to be honest with himself, god, his family, and his fans) the entire community turned their backs on him. As if all his amazing songs just didn't matter anymore. As if he didn't need the support of those around him. It still angers me to this day
