- BAYWATCH MOVIE REVIEW - It's that time of the year where he is not wrestling in the WWE and instead, blockbustin' like crazy as Dwayne The Rock Johnson co-stars with Zac Efron, in this reboot of Baywatch, and you may have seen the red band trailer and the equally rated-R content of the DT crew going off on their reaction to trailer 3, but now there is no more guessing. Put on your bikini, listen to the theme song of the TV show, it is now time to review the final product of the Baywatch remake, and the Double Toasted podcast go in HARD! I have seen that. as long as the movie makes a profit, but they , may feel the bad reviews by critics will cost the film money and the B.O. I have never cared what critics say. but it has turned into a trainwreck.

Did you have a look at The Rock's twitter account? The guy is giving Kanye West a run for his money, every single tweet he put out there is passive agressive to straight up rant about the people (critics) who didn't like the movie. Of course he cares.
Dwayne shouldn't care what critics think....because they get paid to destroy any film they deem low brow. he almost sounds Trumpian in his stance on this film. I would tell him to just let it go...because he has embarrassed himself by his behavior over this film. like he cannot take any criticism.
Man Girts, Korey x2 and Martin make such a great squad haha. Differing opinions and viewpoints with similar senses of humor, works great

I used to love them.Back in the day they were amazing on Spill.Today there good but nothing to write home about to me.Mostly because I grew up with Spill.Just my personal opinion.

It would have been funny to have them deliberating and planning about solving the crime while on the beach, and in the background have someone drowning as the scene goes on because they're too preoccupied to do their jobs.

21 Jump Street was not stupid! It had good stories and issues. Like Martin said, it had trappings of the late 80's, but there are some really good episodes in there. Whatever Korey.

Hilarious review :D The trailer I saw was like 90% the cop explaining to them that lifeguards aren't cops, and I thought it looked really funny--the next 21 Jump Street. Thanks for setting me straight, this looks dumb af lol Maybe I'll check it out if it comes to Netflix.

I'm from Poland but Im pretty sure there are beaches in Germany because just like Poland it lays at Baltic Sea. And also it has hot summers just like Poland so it's not cold all the time and there's no bears walking on the streats too.
The joke about Baywatch in 'Wrongfully Accused' was better than this entire movie and that was just a 45 second parody.

Normally I would not see a film that, from all appearances, is utter garbage. However, the exotic beauty of Alexandra Daddario is so compelling that I will sit through any amount of rubbish to feast my eyes upon such an exceptionally gorgeous woman. She is the only reason why I would go see this film.

And this movie made me cracking up 😂 big time and that why I really enjoyed it I love the cast in this movie and I’m glad that it was 2 hrs long and I didn’t have no complaints from it and I really glad that I brought this movie and it was worth my money the reason why I brought it because it has my girl Alexandra Daddario in it if she wasn’t in the movie then I wouldn’t be buying it but I’m glad that her fine ass was in the movie and I thank her for being in it

Ive never watched this movie and tbh, 21 Jump St, Bad neighbors, hot tub time machine, horrible bosses all those types of comedies just do not interest me. But i think the issue with this movie is the studio just simply tried to make it appeal to teens and young people of this generation today, not even fans of the classic tv series. This is mostly why it fails.

I agree that it doesn't matter what movie you are, there's no excuse for a movie to be this sloppy. I'm just as mad as you about this movie.
I disagree with a few bits, though. You said that it wants to be a parody yet it doesn't understand what a parody needs. I think that the movie was too scared to fully commit to being a parody. When Dwayne Johnson was promoting the movie on social media, he talked a big deal about how big of a brand Baywatch was around the world. So it seems like they chose to make it not a parody because they were scared of pissing off the fanbase of the show, despite not realizing that fanbase, however big it is/was, is now obsolete.
I also disagree with the notion that it plays like a two hour episode of Baywatch. For starters, there was a cheesy fun to the show as you guys said, but that's something the movie sorely lacks. Second, the movie undermines what was popular about the show: the ladies in red swimsuits.
So the movie fails both as a parody and as an episode of Baywatch.
