  • Scientists have become very interested in learning how cells in our body become senescent and understanding the resulting consequences of these cells to our health. To facilitate those studies, scientists can induce senescence in model cells and assess senescence using a variety of methods, such as qPCR, immunofluorescence, and the SA-βgal assay.
This video is part of the Research Integrated Science Education (RISE) Program that is funded by SENS Research Foundation and Dalio Philanthropies. The program is designed to introduce high school students to aging research and laboratory concepts, such as experimental design and data interpretation, within core curriculum standards. human aging is natural wont be solved we all die man its life accept it. Best you can do is slow down the process and living in the world forever sounds like a drag.

@@animeandstuff5377 I mean living indefinitely would be a choice. If you can live indefinitely that means you can enjoy life to the maximum, as you can take your time, no rush on saving for retirement.

@@animeandstuff5377 things will change exponentially with exponential technology - no longer a given that we age / die if we want to commit resources to stopping it

as you say cells do their best to repair themselves, there comes a thought.
a mutation or rather to say a phenotype wich allows for multiple stages of dieing. the person seems to be passed away at first, but the cells gradually repair themselves and start functioning again on higher througput.
is that possible? is autopsy taking samples from brain tissue?

Some years ago i have found an amazingly good pain reduction method. Two different methods to be exact, one heavy duty and one lite. Both works by flooding the temporary memory of the person so pain object doesnt get a place in it it works with quite sewere pain of ongoing sort, not tested yet on pulsing pain but it should also work sudden pains are an exception.
-the heavy duty method: concentrate for 1-2 seconds on an object, then increase the number of objects concentrated on paralel again for 1-2 seconds then when reaching the maximum (5 or 6 in most people) decrease the objects and switch to different objects should have objects seen
-the lite. concentrate back and forth on two or 3 objects each time on only one object in the visual field.
the lite method should set in total painlessness within 2-5 minutes or at least sewere reduction of pain the heavy duty works faster but recquires more mental strain.
    Please spread the word.
