I also felt this move in my chipping (upper cut). I would more describe it as "extension after impact" (which is very import for me in all sort of swings)
Excellent tips as per usual (especially step 1 regarding the shoulders)! I've focused on that for greenside bunkers and has really helped. I didn't think to apply to chipping but look forward to trying it out; thanks guys!
Also, good thing to mention is grip pressure. My tendency was always not releasing the golf club when I was chipping. This is what people who drive the golf club do. They have too much tension in their hands and don't allow gravity to work. To this day I do like 10 chips when I lift my thumbs from the grip and I have the club gripped just in my fingers. It does wonders to consistent grip pressure and release of the golf club.
Wonderful drills. Thanks Guys. Luv Trottie, his channel and vibe too. I'm so glad you went over chipping. We often get soggy conditions in the spring. Turning around the body really helps prevent the leading edge from digging in prematurely.
Great video guys as always your content is getting better and better👏👏, I also had the chipping yips- tried everything and then my PGA teaching pro suggested this method and have the same feeling as uppercut - my focus is on my finish to get toe of club head pointing up to sky on finish - it’s a game changer along with loose grip pressure ( it’s release 2 aka Dan grieves)
Awesome chipping tutorial gents! The way you present the tips is the difference maker... so easy to understand and take to practice! Keep up the great work!!
@meandmygolf For me, chipping and pitching make golf tough! I have watched your videos on this subject and have found them to be superior to anything I've seen from anyone else on RUclips 👍🏼🙌🏼👏🏼...I especially appreciate how you explain the typical pitfalls and what impact it has on the club at impact... you guys are the absolute best, and I look forward to all your videos!
level shoulder or left shoulder is a little lower, that helps tremendously! For most people should just start with that, practice for awhile then go up to step 2 then 3.
And, per gravity golf... Feel the slightest little fall back toward the left heel at the transition. The club stalls out and changes direction at the same time you feel your center of mass tip ever so slightly back.
Hi guys good stuff. So my issue with chips is thinning them, which means I'm lifting. I fear the " uppercut" will lead to thins for me. Tips to avoid that and thins in general please? Thanks!!
A friend of mine gave me the best chipping tip ever ☝🏻 He said, “Focus on the FRONT of the ball” I guess this prevents that tilt right, head tilt, forward shaft lean, … all those things you say we should avoid. I’m going to work on the setup you suggest. Good stuff. Thanks 🙏🏻

This video makes so much sense and helps a lot
Great session, Gents! Both of you are so genuine, really love your approach to coaching. Keep up the good work!
Thanks. Hope this was useful!

Definitely Peter. A softer pressure around the greens from fairways is certainly helpful from our experience.
Great video. What is the location of this lesson? Which course? Country?
😅😅😅😅😅

Appreciate that Dave. Golf can be tough. We just want to make it easy!

Love your stuff as always guys! Thank you ❤
Thanks Mark. Hope this helps.

Great video - how many degrees would you recommend using for chipping?

Well done guys 😊
Thanks Roy. Hope all is well!
I'm great guys keep up the great work really enjoying the video s
Great video. Thanks. Would your approach be any different from the rough? Maybe you have a video that addresses that type of lie? Thank you.
Yes definitely. There would be ball position changes and wrists depending on the severity of the lie.

If you get the set up like we are saying here can can feel the uppercut. Just make are you have the awareness of how the club interacts with the turf.
Great stuff. Checking out the app and noticed that it's more expensive to pay via the iOS app than through the website. Reason for that?
I'm going to try this the next time I'm out practicing. I struggle with chips and pitching
Let us know how it goes.
the 'uppercut' works like magic for me,
have to trust it, can't see why it would work but it sure does

Good stuff Gents....gravity is your friend with chipping 👍
Was trotty getting his lessons at Goat Hill?
These are all very similar to what Dan Grieve teaches. ❤
Gotta keep it simple. Love Dan too. Doesn't overcomplicate things👌🏻
How similar is this to how Dan Grieve teaches?
Basically gents, you've read Dan Grieve's book.
After the video he started crying. He was heard saying “I’m really gonna miss golf”
Talks too much!
