I think for this video - if they weren't doing the weapon switching tech they would actually go faster, I think it's causing them to mess up in ways they wouldn't otherwise since they're not used to it. Kosmic in particular I know is very good at reading boss patterns blind from watching the gauntlet. Long term of course though it's good to get used to the weapon spam.
lobber roundabout weapon swaps dont work in 1.1+ anyway but yeah I agree.

@@sebastianrivero6825 kosmic has been doing a gauntlet of NES games where he plays the hardest NES games blind and finishes them in one day (preparing for when he plays the speed runs of a bunch of them in one day). It's remarkable how quickly he beats bosses in games like Castlevania, TMNT, etc. For instance, he beat the Yellow Devil from MM1 second try I think (without the pause buffer glitch).
Cuphead is such a great game. If you haven’t watched a speedrunner play the game before you should.
Yeah next time I hope they bring guests to teach them speedrunning in specific games and also to promote other speedrunners. I was really hoping to see their reactions of how TheMexicanRunner and other Cuphead speedrunners run this game

Kosmic kinda establishing himself as the legend … loved the early kirbs days but it’s good to see kosmic popping off
Getting 100% achievements on Cuphead is among my top #gaming accomplishments. It took more than 50 hours… I’m so impressed (and envious) that Kosmic, Pointcrow and LilKirbs got a handle on this game so quickly!! Great stuff as always. Next stop… Dr. Kahl’s Robot!!

The channel did work better in general as four people. It adds a lot of options, and just has a better dynamic. Ez being an all-rounder also made every challenge at least decently interesting.

I have an idea for a speedrun race and it's based around the lore of super mario bros for NES.
Correct me if I'm wrong but according to the instruction book, the citizens were turned into blocks. So breaking blocks meant you're killing the citizens. Do another speedrun race of super mario bros BUT without killing an innocent, meaning breaking blocks means starting over.
Easy difficulty: any block that actually breaks makes u start over. Blocks that have coins, vines or powerups in them dont actually break and therefore are considered "safe"
Hard difficulty: do NOT break or open ANY blocks. Period. This means invisible blocks as well

i thought this was an old video because of the weapon switching glitch, but saw the time of release and was very sad. imagine knowing about the weapon swap glitch but not knowing it was patched in like the first update

You guys should speed run Destiny 2 until you get to leave the cosmodrome. Either solo or as a fireteam.
You guys should keep progressing through it to see who does it the fastest for each level maybe have a chart on who wins each level

weapon switching tech only works on older versions of the game XD
Weapon swapping got patched on cuphead, u have to use the first version of the game to be able to stack your damage

Fun fact: The Cuphead devs were actually aware of the weapon swap glitch and they deliberately left it in the game so speedrunners could use it.

Wasn't the switching weapon glitch patched at some update? Cause if they are not playing on one of the first versions, then the glitch is not working.
Were the guys on 1.0? Otherwise the weapon switch bug would have been patched and they were wasting their time.

I speedrun Cuphead, for you all it still a really great speedrun. If you want to be good at this game, you have to only play it like hours and hours, which some time I feels like torture to me.

You know, it isn't just the super short videos that bothers me. It is that the super short videos all are JUST over the extra ad threshold. So they are not better than all those list channels that had all their videos at 10:02 and now 8:03 or whatever. JUST enough to qualify for the mid-video ad.

Honestly, It's a great game. All the bosses are unique, challenging, and fun, except Dr. Kahl's robot. That nightmare didn't need such a long 3rd phase
