Hi everyone, I want to add that it might take quite a while to get your book added. Usually it takes 1-2 days but Goodreads have specifically mentioned this: "Avoid bumping your thread(s) too often. We usually say at least 1-2 days, but with the current number of pending requests, try to wait at least a couple weeks before bumping."
So you can expect it to take weeks for it to be added, make sure you set a reminder to bump your thread after 2-3 weeks if it isn't added yet! :)
🚨 Further Update: I've read that they have a backlog from September 2022!! So it's annoying but you'll just need to be patient.
Goodreads certainly doesn't make it easy by leaving out instructions paths. Very clear and helpful instruction by Elijah. Thank you!

How would they get the picture of the book if its not on amazon?
Hello, I've tried adding this book, that is NOT on Amazon, but is sold locally in my state. I've provided every details of the book and requested it to be added to Goodreads, but the person who responded to my request said that I need to provide author/publisher/Cover Page/non-bookseller link, the author doesn't have any site and the book is only sold in Instagram. Now I am at a deadend...
It's should be in amazon to copy the image link in the box ?!

Thanks for the video, my book was published in two languages, so I figured I would try to get the English copy on Goodreads. So I followed this whole process and its been a month now and the English book is still not listed. The weird thing is that the Afrikaans version of my book has been added and I have no idea how it got there??

I have sent all the information about my book to goodreads team and they took care of it but i don’t understand if my book should be on my profile page or the point is to be on goodreads rather its your profile or not?

No worries. This tutorial 100% works, it's following their exact system. However Goodreads have put out a message saying they are EXTREMELY backed up (check my pinned comment). It could take months for them to list you unfortunately.

If you are using Camtasia you might consider using the zoom in function. It's really hard for me to see your screen. Does it only work for Amazon books? You talk fast.

well, this video is outdated, too, because there is no such menu on the top of GoodReads.
Is it no longer possible to add a book before it is officially published? Like before it is up on Amazon even before a pre-order??
As long as you have registered an ISBN for it and have a link to it, it should be fine.
