Confession, me and dopamine have a very special relationship. Over the last few years I have been trying to balance my motivation & burn out tendencies. After listening to so many podcast about dopamine, and reading books like Dopamine Nation...I was curious about my own relationship with dopamine. I started seeing these dopamine detoxs or fasts, and was intrigued to try BUT at the same time something about them always felt off (for me personally). So I decided to try one BUT with my own unique rules to make it realistic and less extreme. To balance my love of sugar, social media, online shipping, chocolate, impulses purchases, and more!
Friendly reminder, none of these vices are evil, and do not feel the pressure to give these up. As there all things I never want to eliminate from my life either, just doing an audit of how them improve my life, not the opposite.
