Avoid choosing the wrong charger because it’ll take longer

@@HowToKeepMore Since you picked a Supercharger, the charger won’t be the limiting factor.
You will stay more if you are charging with a cold battery. For fast speeds the battery needs to be preheated for about 30 to 45 minutes depending on ambient temperatures.
And if it takes longer to charge till your target, that doesn’t mean you will pay more, since you’re charged on energy delivered not on time parked.

The steam you see in the beginning of the video is your heat pump pre-conditioning your battery. It's in the manual.

save money and electricity by disabling battery heating in service mode while charging. charges slower but you save money. charge normal if you want speed but you pay for it, approx 10kw during long charging session for heating

      How do you do that?

Why are you charging to 100%? Now i dont know how far away you live from the closest charger, but its gonna save you so much time, if you precondition the battery, then drive to the supercharger and then charge from say 20/30% up to 80%. Then you are in and out in 20 minutes.
Lets say you have to charge 4 times a month when you charge to 100%.
If you would only charge to 80% each time, you would miss out on one full charge, meaning you would have to charge 5 times a month if you only charge to 80%.
    Charging to 100%:
4 (amount of trips to the charger) x 60 Minutes (charging time) = 240 minutes spent on charging per month.
    Charging to 80%:
5 (amount of trips to the charger) x 20 Minutes (charging time) = 100 minutes spent on charging per month.
So this means, that unless the combined trip from your house/work to the supercharger takes 2 hours, it would be faster to charge to 80% only.

Your title means nothing and is actually misleading- the heat dissipation is from vents / baffles that vent the heat from the main battery pack. This is normal - you may also hear clicks or pops that is normal as well.

It doesn’t sound normal and battery heating like that doesn’t look normal too. It’s actually scary

I don't own a Tesla but charging your car to 100% is not the way to do it. 80% is ideal and also it take just as long to charge from 80 to 100% as it what it does to charge from really low to 80%. Allow the car to Pre-conditioner also ! Maybe learn out about your car a little more to be able to understand what is going on.

I have owned an electric vehicle for over 10 years and they all work on the same principle, if you check out my other channel @evparamedic you will see I explain about pre-conditioning and the effect it has on range and charging. Hope this helps
