- It's below freezing and I am enjoying an overnight in a pine forest next to the sea in Denmark. I turn a branch into rope and make a adjustable pot hanger, enjoy some meat and the comfy of reindeer skin and a new canvas tent and jacket. I make two types of "all night fires" a "Sami" nying and a upside-down-fire.

Location: Denmark - previous viking country. West coast of Jutland - sand, big sea, spruce and pine forrest. Some of the most remote in Denmark, but a lot of people in Denmark so limited how remote it can get. A lot of birds and deer. No bears only a few wolves - nothing dangerous for campers. If you want to do the same in Denmark do you need to be the owner or get the owners permission.

Is it weird that i watch bushcraft videos to fall asleep? No offence I didn’t mean i find them boring so then i can fall asleep, but instead they’re very calming and relaxes my mind.

When I am feeling lonely (and these days it happens a lot) I get myself a cup o' tea, jump on a couch, turn on the TV, go to this channel and watch the bushcraft videos. This is by far the best channel for relax EVER. Rune, thank you for this atmosphere of tranquility and peacefulness.

@@SailingIndependence well let me be the first to teach you a little about Danish wildlife, we've got no bears, no mountain lions, no poisonous snakes or spiders, we have a fed wolfs but thats pretty much it, his videos are not about the dangerous aspect of being in the wild, but just being out there enjoying nature.

The amount of work that goes in making this videos is just amazing. Placing the camara on the other side of the lake, focusing on certain objects, playing with depth of field, color correction, THE SOUND. Outstanding !
Rune is amazing. Yeah, I was thinking about the camera on the other side of the lake and how he had to navigate it. If it were me, I'd fly a camera drone over there and save me a lot of trouble. LOL.

I'm Spanish original but living in Copenhagen. I would love to go out in woods hardcore as you, and I wanted to ask you if you would have any advice about good suitable places (free camping, available wood, etc) close to Copenhagen, Sjelland or south Swenden. Thanks. You can see a map over alle the public shelters in Denmark here udinaturen.dk and Sweden have a lot of similar shelters and also "alllemandsretten". Sweden is a lot more ideal, but you have options in Denmark as well.

We call it an upside down fire or self-feeding fire. This method works great. Burns from top to bottom so it doesn't engulf the wood. Excellent work!!!

@@andi2234 HI Andi. On Birch trees, but only in cold places. So I think that up north where you find snow in the winter. Like Canada and Alaska. Maybe in The Rockies too.

So I have been very sick since 8 years back.
My doctor say he don't know what I am doing but keep on doing it because this is working.
So my tests are normal again. But it takes a long time before I am recovered.

I wish so much I could find it any where in California (I would travel to get it). I understand you can purchase it in some health stores in products, for example, tea. I also heard it is expensive. To walk in the woods and find it on a tree would be such a joy. I think I will look into where Birch trees grow in California. Where do you live?

Being comfortable like this takes a lot of planning and getting used to.
It can also be very very uncomfortable. 😅
Smoke in your eyes, mosquitoes and other bugs.
and the woods really come to live at night. Foxes, elk, wolves, boars, you won’t believe how many noises they can make.
you’ll feel and hear mises and other small mammals around your tent or even under your back when sleeping.
And it can be so cold early in the morning!
But it’s definitely worth it! 😅

Fascinating the way you are using the element for confort and practicality , you seem to be real proud of your cooking rig , whit the automatic Chaga tea dispenser . i personally like the rhythm of the film , 2 day opening scene the sky the colors , so good again blacksmith man .
Meat looked like Sunday Roasted Beef Dinner, and thousands of years experience has proven what is most comfortable to sit upon, Reindeer/Caribou Fur. This 40 minute journal was too short. I have to keep playing it over. Nothing he brought was excessive, everything was minimalist, but very necessary. Learn by watching. Some teachers drone on about many paranoia things, til I want to scream... just say it.. spit it out, good grief. I couldn't care less about offending some neurotics about eating meat, or burning some woodland branches or sticks. Most of them are burning through resources faster than a garbage dump can bury them. Love the simple educational values just by showing/watching. The best. Great video.!!!
