Haha yeah I have some older tapes/albums that never got released but im finishing up a EP with my group/band that'll be released 2023 so look forward to that! Thanks for listening
You might have out did yourself with this one! 16:08 track 4 is crazy and the whole thing. you should get some dope rappers on a few for exposure, your beats deserve to be heard by alot of people. keep up the awesome work!
Thank you, that means more than you know! And im with you, I wanna find rappers but thats kinda hard to be honest, I cant seem to find anyone! They're either not responding at all or new to rapping. If you know any really good ones show em my way. And thanks for tuning in!
Nice tape like every tape you have made, you do quality beats so you deserve a suscriber. Just a question: do you record your drums one shot or do you record each element separately? And if separately do you quantize something? Snares? Have you tried to record without metronome? Keep doing this, real hip hop need this👍🏼
+REEKLESS ONER Thank you! Not sure i understand the question, i sample the drums indivudually and then record them seperately into the sequencer and then bounce to the computer aftwards and mix. To be honest i quantize a lot with time shift, theres only a certain amout of spots the drums can land and after a while you learn to know that "this spot is where i want the kick" and you put em there. However i never quantize the basslines or the other stuff. Hopefully that makes sense.
+asgsdf Glad you enjoy them! You can support by buying distorted dreams on vinyl, CD or digital at shop.coldbusted.org/album/distorted-dreams. Its also something that isnt up on youtube so you may have missed it :) And thank you!
You obviously know what you're doing, but, you should definitely explore with more bass synths etc. I'm sure you know more than anyone here how impacting they can be!
this is nice, all of it. question: on the first two songs especially, where do you get your bass sounds from? is it a separate electric bass that you record, or is it something that can be downloaded somewhere?
+Mr America haha thank you, even tho this is my muddiest tape yet, im gonna drop anotherone quite soon that will have a cleaner crispier sound. I mix and master everything myself and what can i say, youtube is a great teacher.
+Mac Dusty I'm really curious about your production bro.. I feel like I'm committing hiphop blasphemy - but you're doing Pete Rock better than Pete does Pete Rock... What the fuck man? You're an alien
+Mac Dusty the way your samples sit in the mix it's as if you're composing it.. I've never seen anyone split up sections like that SO DAMN SMOOTHLY.. And you manage to get the perfect tones, and place them in JUST the right spots.. Bro let me tell you: I've been doing this for 15 god damn years and your mixes are the best I've heard.
+Mac Dusty by the way.. Muddy is not always bad. The mud is tasteful, and seems as if you did it like that on purpose.. Anyway - you need exposure. You're making the dopest shit on the net right now. I kinda hate you. Lol
Mac Dusty, stop it... dude,...just stop it.. What tribe passed on the ancient ritual of feelings did you get your bass lines from? Those bass line riffs are off-the-chain. Too-fly dude, too-fly.

Common Sense give this guy a goddamn call already.
Loving the beats man! How do you record your music from the mpc to get a mp3? You run it through a computer or summin?
Yes I do the beats in the MPC and then bounce the stems to cubase where i mix and master it, then cassette and master again. and thanks for the love!
Where can I get this and The Lo-Fi Theory? This is hella dope

And thank you!
the bass is always super killer and crisp man, what do you use to make your basslines?
Thanks man! its just a single bass note ive put in the MPC with 16 levels so notihng fancy going on really but it gets the job done, glad you like it!
You obviously know what you're doing, but, you should definitely explore with more bass synths etc. I'm sure you know more than anyone here how impacting they can be!
Limitless Listen yes i actually bought s moog since then so my next tape is all synth bass hehe, really like it
this is nice, all of it. question: on the first two songs especially, where do you get your bass sounds from? is it a separate electric bass that you record, or is it something that can be downloaded somewhere?
Its just 16-levels on the MPC with a sampled 1 note bass guitar, you can get that anywhere basically. and thanks man!
It's crazy what the filters on the 3000 can turn a normal bass sample into lmao, good job
Great collection of filth, dope upload.
I'm dying to know where you get the sample in the beginning, was that by Bob and Ron?
Never mind, found it!
haha then you know more than me, Spanky & Our Gang , right? not sure i just remember the cover of the lp.
It's Leopard Skin Phones by Spanky & Our Gang indeed. Great source material man!
Your mixes are so clean.. Wtf? Do you have someone else mix your projects? Or where the hell did you learn to mix like that bro?
+Mr America haha thank you, even tho this is my muddiest tape yet, im gonna drop anotherone quite soon that will have a cleaner crispier sound. I mix and master everything myself and what can i say, youtube is a great teacher.

Haha thanks man! I just listen to a lot of music and practice a lot, keep at it and thanks for listening!
