Thank you Joy for everything in this vid. I'm not from the states, but the effects of this decision ripples world wide. And I'm horrified to see a country go backwards, and heart-broken for every person who is now affected by it. I'm glad you took the time to self care, and create the world you wish to see. The hospital with access to transport and accommodation for all is perfect. Perhaps, as you said, a little work on transit systems may be in order? Also, the music you chose, and the quotes you showed, are perfect. Thank you.

Totally agree on the outlet part.
This game was so helpfull recovering from my burnout last year.
Come to think of it, it still helps.
Great build again Joy. Liked the houses there. Could be those temporary houses so ones family can stay close.
    Keep em coming!

Wow, I didn't realize that there were actually no large hospitals in the city yet!
And this one is looking to be pretty huge, really cool! ^-^
I guess I don't want to dive too deep into the whole abortion law topic in this here context, but saying nothing feels wrong, soooo...
I absolutely agree with you that having freedom and control over your own healthcare and medical decisions, over your own body, is in my opinion a human right and absolutely non-negotiable.
As i see it no court or government should have the ability to take that away from anyone.
I saw a post by someone lately that I quite liked: It basically said that if this whole mess was actually about the babies, instead of banning abortions they'd make things such as counseling and help for parents free, they'd make diapers and personal hygiene products for struggling mothers free, they'd make schooling and university and education free. But they don't. This is not about the babies, this is probably nothing but the power-fantasy of a few trying to oppress the many.
Don't let yourself get oppressed like that. Show them the middle finger :)
It says a lot about our world that things like this still happen in 2022.
I could rant on for hours about that probably, but I'm not sure YT would let me.
I very much love that you're including housing and accomodation for travelling nurses, family of long-term patients and so on.
It is very very important to have that, for example having your loved ones by your side is absolutely crucial to a better and speedier recovery.
And in our times today, healthcare workers have a ton of work and stress anyway, so taking constant commutes out of the picture is hopefully a significant relief for them at least in that regard.
Also... maaaayybe you haven't noticed, but your inner city bus station is totally overwhelmed :D
Jokes aside, it is really awesome to see so so many people wanting to use your transit services, isn't it?
i think that alone proves that your 15-minute city concept is working splendidly here in Mordalgo, and I absolutely love it!
Thank you for sharing this with us

I'm under the weather, and this was the hospital I needed!
I'm glad that you use your creative outlet to give so many people joy. And bangers too. Feeling a little pop-punk today? It fits the urban aesthetic really well!
It is not always easy to "get political" in a channel that is usually "not political", but I think in this case it was done very well, and delivered an important message. I applaud that.
It looks like it was not easy for you to talk about it, but the result speaks to the heart. Also I think city planning will always be a little bit political, and if someone says this content doesn't belong in your channel, well, they can abort their subscription.
Also, you took your anger and turned into a very nice detailing session! The tree lined collector looks like something special!
On a lighter note, the bus station by the hospital turned up fantastic! Yes for the transit episode.
A toast to Mordalgo! Walkable and pro-choice!

filling areas with trees is the trickiest part to me. my gardener / landscaper skills are very limitated ^^ @4:17
there are so many different types, sizes and colors. i can't spend hours to sleect trees. my focuses are elsewhere ^^
this game is so complex that you should have possibility to get someone online to finish the city you've created.
(that's proabably why the "fix your city" videos on youtube are so popular)

Thank you Joy, I definitely needed this today, especially after recent events. I'm not American myself, but a lot of my friends are, and I'm both fearful, and angry on their behalf. It's a legal right, it shouldn't be taken away no matter what. To all those Queens who are fighting alone, you're not dancing on your own, we're here to support you 💖
P.S. What songs did you use in your detailing time lapse, I don't think they were named in the video, they really helped my mood bounce back a little bit ❤

women's rights are human rights. that with the stroke of a pen turned half the people in this country into second class citizens sickens me so deeply. autonomy and self-determination are not rights just for a few but for all. thankyou for not shying away from what has happened and using your voice.

Where are all the medical professionals living? 75% of the staff in the metro hospital where I work commute. Most of us WILL NOT move. Too bad for the people who live there.

I feel the same way when I do the coloring projects! I get lost in the mood and picking the right type of music that won't be offensive to others is important to everyone since not everyone has the same taste in music! That's why coloring is my creative outlet for me I can explore more creative ways to make things look realistic just like those who plays cities skylines 🏙 😀
