Yes, dad I am going to be come a programmer. Great son! Maybe you could develop educational programs for people in developing nations. Well, dad, I was thinking more about ancient army simulations where they fight T-Rex. ….
This severely overestimated the toughness of a T-Rex. A T-Rex being able to survive several shots from a catapult or a tank, or several hundred bullets from a firearm is crazy.

@@jawarakf So, you're saying he's continuing the fight from inside one of the dinosaur's bodies, thus using it as a defensive shield? Well played, Mr. Wick.
@@LabTech41 in cartoon, this works. The bullfrog digestive enzyme would melt off the mouse flesh disintegrating legs, back, torso then bullfrog could swallow the remaining head & neck.
T Rex are way more durable than you'd expect. I mean, they are big and nasty, but really, I doubt they can survive more than a few well placed bullets.
The fact that the t Rex’s actually flanked the troops was crazy. Also, after hearing about the emu war I expected the t Rex’s to be able to take crazy damage
I've watched a number of these videos now. There's something to be said for the old Roman "ACB" strategy. That's basically putting your least mobile, most defense-oriented guys in the middle (pike men, spearmen, etc) to engage and hold the enemy. On one flank, your next best troops to attack from the side, and then finally your very best troops to come around and slam them from the other side or the back. A lot of what I'm seeing is just slamming one army into the other.
It was really cool of you to include the part where Cleopatra fights the T-Rexes from the Netflix documentary. But of course, that was just artistic flair based on true events. In reality, no humans would have died in this battle because the T-Rexes would have suffocated in our atmosphere. Not enough oxygen for such huge and active forms, after all.
Me irl watching video: man I can't stop watching this it's so awesome. I just wish there was a scoreboard. Also me when after a few minutes in, a scoreboard appears: perfection achieved. well done!🙌

Those vids are always fun to watch, but it would be cool if there was some more realistic setting. Like friendly fire being a thing... and soldiers having to reload a gun. Then the setup would need to be a lot more elaborate.
Gotta love how the soldiers at the end were the only ones to move back lol xD You wanted the humans to win but u saw they werent going to so u tipped the scales :P
I am surprised the T-rex made it past the tanks. I bet a small handful of Abram tanks could have taken all those t-rex singlehandedly having much longer range and more powerful and precise firepower.
The Shermans in the video we're missing a key weapon, their M2 machine guns. That's the weapon for killing large numbers of Rexes! The guys with the Thomson's should have had M1 Garlands. The Germans did pretty good with K98s, Garlands would rock.
But Trex were moving too slow too, Around 10:40 u see those Trex are moving slower than the troopers are. If they charge at their speed which by movies pov is very fast, I think they would blizz through.
It's most likely the fact that the T-Rex's launching power is greater than the amount of damage it does, and most of the ranged units it attacked were launched into the air and killed by fall damage. When that happens, the game doesn't mark it as a kill.
The most intense battle I have ever seen in my own eyes, next to the avengers fighting Thanos. Wow! I voted for the ranged troops. At first I thought we lost but then at the end I was in so much hype, just screaming thinking range troops can actually kill them all, and they did!
The simulation parameters don't seem to include tank armor being completely impervious to some weapons. A T-Rex can bite a tank all day, won't do a thing. Those Sherman tanks alone could have stopped 7000 attacking Tyrannosaurs assuming enough main gun ammo. Even if the main guns ran dry, they could have finished off the rest with the .50 M2 turret mounted machine guns.
Those turret barrel could be stepped on by one of them and it would have destroyed it. Tanks also don’t carry that much ammo and one tank might of stopped 20
Trex can't do anything to damage the tank, but if the Trexes got close and a few fell on and around the Sherman, it would be trapped and completely useless. Might as well be a kill.
Before it starts, I will say the T-Rexs will make it to the Sherman's. Okay, they got all the way to the modern U.S. Army. For a little bit there it looked like some Germans would survive, but they got wiped out. I knew the Archers weren't going to do much.
If the tanks didn't hold the TRexs back unrealistically then they would've easily won. They were all standing there taking fire for a good minute so the troops weren't taking damage.
Wonder how differently this battle might have gone if you had arranged your formation in wings instead of wedges. Really sacrificing those units at the tip of the wedge in the worst possible place for supporting fire.
You put musketeers behind archers, semi autos behind muskets, Nazi's behind Ally's tanks between units and modern soldiers shooting straight into the backs of all of the above
That's the crook of the problem. How many arrows can a t-rex absorb? How many 58 caliber balls? How many 8mm, 30-06 or 45 caliber rounds? How many stone balls? How many 50 cal, tank rounds, 556? (Did i cover them all?) My guess is, a crap-ton of arrows. Like all the arrows those archers had really only translated to a few arrows per T-Rex. The 58 caliber balls from the muskets would do some serious damage to a T-Rex and probably each soldier with a musket had 60 rounds or so. Three a minute? That's an awesome volume of fire. If the solder could last two minutes from first contact, I'll bet the dinos would have all died by musket ball.
I think the right strategy here was to keep the German soldiers on the front line so that the t-rex wouldn't feel hungry enough to go past the other defense.
How many HP did the Rex's have? A Sherman should one shot them. The human side should go for the legs. A couple of shots from any of the humans would immobilize a trex.
