This Parkour Mod Is A Game Changer For AC Mirage..

- All the thanks to 𝙅𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙤𝙝𝙖𝙠𝙪 for making this mod, as far as i know it simply increases the height allowed for side and back ejects. Having a mod like this so early in the games lifespan is huge, cant wait to see what the community can do with it. I just wanted to push this video out so people could see what was possible but I did not even come close to scratching the surface, the sh*t people come up with is going to be insane. (also i am only using the eject helper here)
Hope anybody who watches enjoys.

No dig at Bordeaux intended, they did a very good job with this game. But modders being able to do this in 2 weeks as a hobby makes you wonder why studios can't do it in a whole development cycle.
yeah like i respect bordeaux for what they were able to do but... why was the parkour so hard to nail when there were clearly things to be tweaked
Why? Because they have less experience making games, they went from DLCS for Valhalla to Mirage, its a new studio as well, ask this question to games like Valhalla Oddysey or Origins, here it's understandable, although sad it's not back as a mechanic itself
@@whipwalkaI think it's really good, I hope they change the speed of Swings to make them faster (not corner swings just the normal ones) and if at all possible look into implementing this Mod as a mechanic, if they don't I understand, hopefully they will look into this mechanic in the future games then
I would've been happy with just this and a manual jump, I don't think either were impossible implement
Because it's like tech. It's not that they don't have the next iPhone but they'd rather leak it out gradually instead of at once so it looks like they are improving it. The parkour can be fixed in an a couple hrs but they want us to buy the next game
I'm pretty sympathetic to Bordeux and the lack of resources/time they had to work with. But the fact modders could do what they couldn't in the span of two weeks is pretty embarrassing.
it'll be up to them to make a game-changing play and learn from these guys then, we need more dev-modder interaction
@@SgtFunBunthis is how it should work, big teams pick up the most passionate modders and start giving em some fucking bread for there work
@@SgtFunBunexactly, but I'm kind of happy they did listen to some of the complaints because the parkour in the early builds was very slow
They didn't have rest of the game to worry about tho
This is also the case with every Bethesda game ever 😭
It is really sad to see hardcore AC fans care about the franchise more than the publisher
I think this is how it goes for most big videogame companies
It's not like it's first time in Ubisoft, learn people!
Its magicaly...
Per ms, and its doing so much more...so smooth parkour..without "delay"....
Who is tryharding stealth, one clean run, hundreds trys...can appreciate this...
These guys do so much for progress jn AC, for better and comfortable playing...
But still are here, that weird assassination skill....
And its something, what i dont want accept...same like in ac;ods that supermegapowermagic spear
...
Nothing has impressed me and driving me so mad in a while. How the geometry seems to be designed for it but at the same time console players can't experience this is nuts
We gotta hope that Bordeux will update the game so it becomes universal for every platform because I have this mod, but I feel guilty for all the console players
Time to get a PC
@@kiwikemist pc games can be good yes but most of the time games come out beyond buggy.
@@zanman5457 PC games are literally the same as the console versions, the only difference is you can change graphics settings. Games on console can be just as buggy, more buggy or less buggy, you really don't understand how games are made for you?
@@hygormotasantos4035 Just say you are too lazy to operate a PC
Dude this is just insane! I'm actually shocked how much better the parkour feels with such "little" tweaks. Thanks a lot to the modder!
Now I’ll actually buy the game
in 2 weeks is insane, inexcusable
It's crazy, it doesn't even look like a big enough change to traversal that it would break level design. It looks so much closer to how it should feel!
Completely agree. I just don’t understand what goes on in the heads of these devs to not have something so important in the game
Something cool about this mod is that it doesn't look out of place or weird, it looks like the Valhalla parkour system actually allow you to do back eject and side eject, if only Bordeaux are given like at least 1 more year they could probably upgrade the parkour system
1 year for Ubisoft devs = 2 weeks for modders
@@thomasallwin7536he was actually talking about a whole new parkour system and animation, not recycled one from previous rpg games . Modders only tuned in the back eject distance and basim running speed
1:39 is just so goddamn SMOOTH. I think the last time you could side eject onto an object you're hanging from like this was in the Kenway games. Makes me wonder what other eject techniques you can use with the mod. Very nice runs btw :)
It was Unity not sure for syndicate
@@rappercentral703it was also in Syndicate
that was so goddamn... snappy and unnatural, wth are you even saying
Looks kinda weird though.
very unrealistic lmao
LETSS FUCKING GO,
I know its a lot to ask for, but if modders can somehow implement manual jumps this game would be perfect in my eyes
Beat me to it.. lol. Being able to choose when to jump like you could in other AC games would be a game changer if you could add it with this.
@@Virtual_Sphere_ choose when you jump? not sure what you mean by that
@@eternalglow6483 he means a dedicated jump botton while you are running. Extremely useful when you want to jump before getting to the edge of a building. You could do this in the older games.
@@eternalglow6483 manually jump*
@@eternalglow6483In every AC game from Unity and before that you could double tap the climb button to jump whenever you wanted. So for instance if there was a ledge that you could just run at and your character would climb up it, you could instead manually jump from a distance and jump right onto it. Or if you had multiple paths to choose you could manually jump onto your desired platform of choice vs just aiming your camera and having Basim only 50% of the time do what I want him to do
This is amazing. I might buy the game now just because this makes it possible for me to personally enjoy it properly.
Right? I already played it but I mainly play for the parkour and this is beyond sweet
Same. Was hyped at first but after first actual gameplay and seeing that parkour actually looks bad I didn't buy. Now with this mod, that's a whole another story.
Yup I went from no buy to the next steep sale which shouldn't be too long from now since ubi clearly sabotaged this games release so it wouldn't sell well. It got a fraction of the build up and marketing.
@@KidBowsur Mirage actually sold incredibly well
This series honestly hasn't had propper back and side ejects since AC: Revelations.
What? The Kenway saga had back ejects and side ejects
You're just factually incorrect, my guy.
kenway saga kinda had these side ejects but they were bit too contextual and the height gain during ejects were lacking basically non-existent so they were dogsh^t anyways they might as well didnt exist tbh
@@markonovakovic6762
The keyword here is "proper" you
smarta$$
@@btchiaintkidding7837 that's just straight up untrue, they were functional
Amazing, this is just the beginning, but these simple changes already make such a big impact on the flow of parkour and allow you to gain height with ejects, this is how the mechanic is supposed to work.
See thats what I'm talking about. Literally all we asked for. Modders just took this 1/5 star parkour system to a 4/5
the side ejects are a little weird, at 1:38 it felt a little magnetic but the back ejects are peak, just as broken as ac unity which i think will be fun
@@whipwalkayeah problem seems to be that side ejects only trigger the animation to land ON an object instead of be in climb regarding the height differences. But a very good step!
@@dasarchiv3508 for sure, i've looked around and i think hitting parkour down is more consistent for smaller gaps and it probably would've put me on the red tarp, where i wanted to go in the first place
@@whipwalkagod can't wait to test it at home! Unfortunately we've no NG+
@@dasarchiv3508 true but there is a skill point mod so you can acquire max skills off rip and basim replacer lets you do some pretty incredible things with the outfits, being able to run any of them at any point. but yeah no ng+ or replayable missions is insane imo and should be a standard in triple-a sp games
Why Ubisoft couldn't do this is beyond my understanding
They obviously could, descriptions says that the mod only increases height allowed for side and back ejects, It's literally 2 parameters and two tweaks of the slider. Somebody at Ubisoft clearly decided that what we have in vanilla is better, that's it.
This right here is something that was needed. The fact that side hops were replaced with side dismounts is just a horrible substitute to chain parkour inputs. Some of the best techs in ac involve shortening the time it takes to traverse upward, not more (aka being able to side eject/ hop from a lower point on a climb to gain more height) awesome video bro, you killed this 👌💯
my god, those back and side ejects are beautiful
I haven't played the game yet, but I would love to see a comparison video with the actual parkour in the game.
Hopefully they will add this kind of mechanic in the next patch though
Making character able to jump 5+ meters: "wow parkour is so much better"
its basically unity's side hop! amazing.
Here before this blows up. Also this needs to be in the main game. Ubisoft needs to see this
Thank you for this really great showcase of the mod's functionality! I'm so glad it got out there, we're very loud lol
hells yea dude, thanks for watching, tbh idk why i left the focus clip but i guess the viewers didn't care. im just out here tryna get rid of any stigma on mirage!
Sometimes I wish I bought the PC version of this game. But then I remember Denuvo and the wish vanishes.
But for real, a game changer mod. Hopefully the author could add some tweaks to make the Unity dive more consistent.
Have fun! 🙌🙌🙌
Same man 😂
Same. Respect to CDPR for not using Denuvo
as someone who bought Mirage on my series S, i hope bordeaux is very very receptive to this sort of thing and lets them get it into the game lmao
real
A much needed change
in my days you don't need mods to get a better parkour in AC
Those day are long gone my friend. Now we are in the era Ubishit cashgrab titles
Now i just need a mod that makes it easier to do diagonal wall running
Modders community always surprises me. Dayum, they are genius. Developt this in 2 weeks is insane. Thats some skills, mate.
If it is this easy for a modder to implement in game, I don't get why the developer didn't just made it like this in the first place
This is actually so insane, I’d do anything to play the game like this
Definately a much better parkour
Modders will always be the G
This is so infuriating. Why can't we all have this????
Amazing job, such an impressive acomplishment.
This is really good, but i would actually slightly reduce the distance of the ejects cus some of these are a little too unrealistic. I had this issue with unity, Arno's jumps and ejects were rediculously huge.
agreed
Ubisoft needs to see this and do something... parkour is the most important thing in this game..
This is really insane, even the whole character seems more "into" the world itself, not "floating around" like before (the stairs are still terrible)...Amazing mod ♥ But why not implement this by default when you know what the fans have been asking for ages...
Unity’s free run down was a game changer, but i always felt that the diagonal trajectory of climbing is what sets it apart from the rest of the franchise. It instantly made free running/parkour less linear and i’m sad we’ll never see that again
i agree with everything except for the end where you say we will never see it again, we simply cant know
@@whipwalka True, I should try stay optimistic hey
I think the best things they could do are for one to make a dedicated run button and if you’re not pressing run when you move forward, you walk. Second, make things non-contextual in the sense that you can side eject or back eject anywhere even if it’s to your death. These simple change could give so much control when it came to parkour.
Made this game 10 times better, wow
this looks amazing, they could still pay the modders and add this movement as an option in the settings. But I think I'm daydreaming lol
Ah yes, sliding downstairs more effective parkour move
Bro whoever these modders are, these studios should definitely hire them .
no, they will still not include this in the game and the modders will no longer be allowed to do this
It's hard to get small details right when you're working day and night for Ubisoft. I'm not surprised someone made this as a hobby in 2 weeks.
With the classic looking jump animation and the side eject this mod brings it very very close to classic creed
Fantastic, just picked this up on the PS5 and slightly gutted I didn't opt for PC now!
The wall ejects to the sides are very important to me in an Assassin's Creed game. They give much more liberty. It's the only thing I miss in the Unity parkour, we can wall eject back but not to the sides. I fail to understand how Ubisoft ignores such simple aspects as to add these types of things in a game and franchise where parkour is one of the main focus.
i have never seen AC be this smooth
Smooth as butter, But im so glad its finally over !
I finished a couple days ago and i was so happy, cuz it was short, cute, to the point and unlike Valhalla!
In Valhalla i lost track of everything bro, what year istarted, what year i finished, what purpose i was born for and when i finally finished i was so happy that i felt like waking up from a long ass coma....
Anyways this mod is great 😃👍🏼
I am glad this game holds up to play along side spiderman 2
I don’t know how they did it but that mod is so effective in changing how quick he moves. Ubisoft should take notes 😂
Could bourdeax maybe implement this through a patch
definitely, they might even have more tools to work with to add some polish but who knows if they will do it
@@whipwalka Even if they could, I kinda doubt they would. Not because they don't want to, but because there's a lot of politics involved between developer studios with AAA publishers when it comes to these kinds of things. One of the reasons gameplay patches often take a long time is usually because a lot of decisions has to be approved by the publisher-side. Developers cannot do anything without the publisher's approval, and knowing what we know of the working environment at Ubisoft, Bordeaux is essentially still at the bottom wrung of the totem pole compared to studios like Ubisoft Montral of Quebec. There's a reason Ubisoft Montreal is pretty much the only Ubisoft studio out of all of them that dishes out new IPs for the publisher.
And again, mods community is making new games much better
I didn’t realize how helpful/impactful side jumping when climbing is 😯 now I wish it was in the real game
Just shows that these features were always implementable. It's just that Ubisoft is so afraid to give the core audience the tools for actual freedom of movement and challenge. And, having watched a lot of GDC talks, I blame this obsession with "accessibility" when all they keep doing is dumbing down mechanics for everyone instead of actually providing options for players to choose between automation and manual. Many of the lead devs truly think their audience are made up of idiots that constantly need handholding. That's one fantastic thing Insomniac did in Spider-Man 2. They actually integrated an option for players to experiment with such a feature.
Bro trained the prince of persia.
FINALLY
""Back to its roots""
Being able to do side ejects and back ejects at will and the direction you want is a huge game changer. Can't fathom how this has been present in the earlier iterations of the game but then they just removed it. I know Mirage can somehow still do it but the ease of doing it, or the circumstances, are all too limiting right now.
the fact that for many parkour genuinely peaked in the first installment 16 years ago is baffling and honestly shameful but we respect bordeaux.
@@whipwalka It is shameful indeed and Ubishit are not gonna care about it one bit because at this point they will milk the AC franchise till its a lifeless soulless entity that preys on nostalgia.
this is revolutionary
Knowing that this stuff is possible and already in the game is cool
This is insane. Please, if you see this comment do a combat mod if that’s possible. The combat is atrocious and I couldn’t bring myself to buy the game but if that was also fixed I would definitely get it.
Insane job on this mod in just 2 weeks
this is not my mod g, one of the links is the eject mod and you could ask them there
Imagine if this was default parkour in all AC games...
0:30 even Altaïr are lost his word seeing Bashim to able to do that.
Also 0:55 is this AC series or Final Fantasy XV? Seeing our protagonist can do Warp Attack.
Its pretty funny to think that all it takes is to add some animations from Unity and make the parkour animation and player speed about 1.25x times faster. And now you have a brand new game.
give this creator MVP
The funny part is: The old games had this. Hell, even Unity basically had a feature that look almost identical: The side- and back-eject. You could just snap the analog stick to the side, and if there was a platform Arno could jump onto, he would. And the back-eject always sent you further up so you could almost Prince of Persia your way up a small alleway. This made climbing upwards really fast and fun!
I know Unity's parkour is kinda janky, but if they'd just flesh that system out, it would be glorious!
Thanks to the modder for tweaking simple stuff that make the parkour a lot better. The devs themselves for whatever twisted reason obviously are not interested in good parkour.
fuck the level designers i guess🤷🏽♀️
Yeah, this is just baffling. Modders doing Ubisoft's job in 2 weeks.
Or was the team who made Mirage creatively bankrupt?
@@infinitespinergy1220 if they were really doing ubisofts job then they would be making their own games.
All you guys saying it's smooth & amazing, keep in mind everything you see here was in unity(and more) 10 years ago.
this game is much smoother than unity
THIS IS WHAT WE NEEDDDDDD
But... But I remember doing that in Assassin creed Brotherhood!
oh my goodness- the resemblance to unity is actually insane
This is why I think companies hire their “talent” in the wrong places with the wrong requirements. Look at Rockstar for example, they hired the people responsible for the GTA Online Role Mod community instead of banning them.
Video game companies need to search for talent in places like mod communities. After all satisfied customers (gamers) is what makes a franchise or any game, thrive.
Companies need to embrace it!! There’s so much talent out there! People who can make more than others who have degrees.
(Slides down stairs)
Wait hold up a minute
I'm actually considering buying the game now because of this mod
Smooth like AC Unity
Omg finally a mod that can get rid of the heavy feeling in newer ac oml 😂
We finally reached AC-2 level of speed and smoothness, now if we only get AC-1 level of freedom of control, then it all be dandy.
This is CRAZY, Ubisoft should definitely implement this, even, the modders!
Yep. This mod will NEVER be off on my rig.
modders having to make a mod for better Parkour in an AC game kinda crazy
I need a comparison because this is soo smooth
For the record: Ubisoft obviously could to that, the mod changes parameters already avaible in the game, it doesn't rework climbing system. Somebody at ubisoft clearly decided that what we have in the vanilla is better and that's it, you might not like it but they did.
It's not about not experienced developers It's about directors decisions.
Personally I know few people that worked there (ac origins but still) and it doesn't look like a great place to work at. Although they have multiple studios so It might not be the case for all of them.
Wow. Just wow. Ejects have Unity strength in this.
Sliding downstairs 😂😂😂
Nicely done
Just looks like AC 2 and Brotherhood's movement
_"Every Finger's a Fishhook!"_
Tbh all they need to change is that Basim will jump to the furthest optional wall/pole,ledge instead of the closest one
modders saving the day agian.
Assassin's creed should introduse those parkour dinamic themes just like dying light 2 did
Need this mod asap, really hope ubi learns from these awesome modders that are working their hardest to remind THEM of how fluid and awesome THEIR own games used to be. Jesus Christ, did all the good game designers die or something?
the creative director of ac reacted with an 👀 emoji in reaction to the mod, we could see an update one day
Just the inclusion of a side wall eject onto a platofrm or a reverse eject onto a platform would've been so useful. I really can't believe the devs haven't thought of this stuff before
Ok, that sequence between 0:28 andd 0:32 was SLICK🤩
Wow, someone send this to Ubisoft and get this man hired. I've been playing since AC1 preorder. The parkor needs to be totally revamped. Especially since parkor has evolved as a sport. I mean, they literally can hire some of the extreme tag and free climbers for the motion captures. When AC1 came out, there wasn't much out there. But now, OMG to watch some of the amazing things these guys are doing. Unbelievable. We can only hope that when they do Project Red, they get it right.
If by "Revamped" you mean that they should go back to AC1-Revelations parkour control scheme and at least reach their level of animations, then yes. Because if not, then you either haven't been playing AC1-Revelations games for very long or you completely suck at their parkour.
@@lakshaykochhar6799 go home kid.
@@1truzilla458 Seems like you realized that calling someone who thinks AC1's parkour is better than new AC games: a kid, is a stupid idea.
@@lakshaykochhar6799 no, I could have done without the insult in your comment. That's why you got that responds from me. If you wanted to have a dialog about how the parkour could be improved, then you should have led the conversation in that direction. It was childish (or a childish way of thinking) to make the assumption that someone "sucks" as a way of driving the conversion forward.
@@1truzilla458 Being over-sensitive towards dumb insults is also almost as childish as resorting to calling someone a 'kid' because you couldn't come up response to my agrument and a retort to my insults.
Double assassination, more assassination animations, this parkour but tweaked even better, longer & stronger story with odyssey cutscenes & this game would’ve been amazing. You can see the potential with this game just with this video. Mirage could’ve been so much better & it’s already a good game
And better facial animation
all these things require a full assassins creed budget which they did not even come close to getting, i’m sure they did everything they could
Hey guys Bordeaux did a great job, this mod is cool and all but can we at least appreciate the fact Bordeaux listened the community unlike the other studios? I mean they added side ejects because of these mods. You all also have to realize they were a smaller team and had limited time and resources to make this game, so of course the parkour isn't a perfect 10/10. They at least put soul into Mirage unlike Montreal with Vahalla, I swear this fandom demands too much sometimes. Not saying this video is hating on Bordeaux or anything, it's a good video and the mod looks cool, just remember to appreciate that Bordeaux actually tried. Nice video whipwalka and keep up the good work.
thank you, idk if you read any of the other comments but they basically all start with something along the lines of “respect on bordeaux for what they were able to achieve” so you can rest assured the people who really care about ac are in fact rooting for bordeaux to get another shot
That's good, sorry if I sounded like a Mirage fanboy, I'm just really glad we got Mirage@@whipwalka
