So glad for your flip through. You saved me from a disappointing purchase. For me, it's basically variations on a modern, simplistic vibe. Not enough variation in aesthetic for my taste. Thank you
Glad I could save you the money, I get bored doing vintage so often, so for me this is refreshing change. 😊
I agree. I saw this in the store and came very close to buying it. I flipped through it several times and couldn’t bring myself to pay the $40 cover price.
the colors are really off to me also
I am also disappointed but only because it's not my kind of style. It offers alot for those that like this vibe. TY for sharing. 1st FLOW I have seen for quite some time.
Same here. It looked promising and some of the botanical prints were nice but too many pages were just meh. Your typical Dutch, German looking designs that I'm not the least into. You get similar designs at Aldi for a fraction of the price.
This book is an older one that was brought out before covid. I loved it and used it in making junk journals. I saw this week on Instagram that an english language edition is being published again. I am in Ireland and it isn't in shops here yet.
I can’t wait to get the new one! 😊
I am from the Netherlands, home off Flow Magazine. I have a subscription to Flow magazine and the flow specials, like to paper lovers magazine. They are all about mindfulness, selfcare, relaxing, breathing deep, enjoying nature ect. The paper lovers magazines are part off encouraging people to create and love the proces.
The one you just flipt though is book number 8. Number 12 just came out. I believe the do one a year. Here they cost 24.95 euros, without a subscription. And you can still order a couple off older back numers for 14.95. Probably cost an arm and a leg to send them all the way to Australia, but 🤷♀️
I was going to say, I've had this copy for years. I'm im the Netherlands as well
Post would be horrid I am sure! 😊
@Angelofnine you are lucky, we have had a flow drought here in Aus for years! 😊
@@WWDesigns I was curious a 5 kg box shipped by dhl is 85 euro, 139 AUD ( if I did the conversation correcty) So you must have a real love for Flow to pay that.
@someonedifferent198 I won’t be 🤣
Wow. I can't believe how much is in this magazine. It is chock full! Thank you so much for sharing!
It’s rather delightful 😊
I checked: 39.99 Australian is $24.44 USD. Thanks for the lovely flip. You’re correct! It IS delightful. I think it’s worth the money if only to look and touch. And all those useful things like envelopes, tags and wrapping paper. I use sheets of scrapbook paper to wrap small gifts. Perfect! 💜💜💜
Have you found where we can get a subscription in the US?
I loved FLOW magazine and books when it was in production. I am pleased to hear that its back. I live in a very small town and our options for buying overseas magazines is fairly limited. I do hope that I can get a sub. somewhere in Australia.
Aussie dollar not very strong at the moment, but I like pretty paper things, so just paying the price with no regrets. 🤣
$25 is ridiculous.
Hi there 👋 I'm new to your channel, this video came across my feed. I have this book and quite a few other flow books, absolutely love them!!!❤ I hope they continue making and selling them, one of my favorite books as well as daphnesdiary and ideal magazines,so fun 😊🍂🧡🥰
Never heard of ideal magazine…heads to google! 🤣
I love these books! I bought my first one like three years ago and I STILL have pages and supplies in it that I reach for! They recently came out with themed books...like food, nature and travel...and I adore the food themed one! It's beautiful and I'm struggling to bring myself to even use the papers haha
It’s the first time I have seen them in Australia for a long time, will keep my eyes open for other issues now too! 😊
I saw that one Saturday. I think it would be an amazing junk recipe journal used as-is.
Oh my goodness! I haven't seen anything from Flow in Ages. Thank you So much for making and uploading a flip through! I So enjoyed it and will look for one of these in Barnes and Nobles.
Good luck finding one! 😊
I've wanted this magazine for years. I bought this one a few weeks ago. Looking forward to start creating with mine. Sadly, unknown to me, my issue was missing a few of the fun extras within. I didn't realize it until I saw yours . Thank you for the share💜
Oh no, that is not fair! 🥲
I love this magazine. Thanks for the flip through 💜💖
Best announcement ever!! I am a religious buyer of these and was heartbroken when they ceased sales abroad. This is the last copy I bought, so hopefully there are more to come!
Me too!
I love this publication. I discovered several years ago at a Barnes & Noble bookstore. I'm so glad it is back. Recently there were 4 options at my local B&N (Surprise, AZ USA) - a full issue, then 3 different smaller versions - botanical, foods and another, annimals I think. The full one runs about $35, the smaller ones were about $25. This is a very expensive publication but considering that it is produced in Europe and features some wonderful work of many talented artists, it is understandable. I loved the botanical issue so I splurged. I encourage collage and card makers especially to check out Flow at a B&N. Thanks for posting this review.
First time I have ever heard of it. Thank you
It is a delightful publication 😊
Very cool - I ended up ordering mine online from Sweden as there are virtually no newsagents on the Gold Coast who stock it. Mine looks a little different to yours though.
That’s interesting that it is not exactly the same. I am so lucky my newsagent gets the good things….like Daphnes Diary 😍
There are a LOT of them at Barnes and Noble. I asked a salesperson about them and she thought that B and N had purchased Flow. I am oretty sure the 6-8 issues I saw were all reprints (which is fine as there are many issues I didn't buy at the time). In the Seattle are, the B and N versions are $30-35.
Good to hear!
Thanks for the flip. I have a stack of these paper lover books but I don't go to them maybe because of the odd size? I really don't know why but beautiful eye candy at worst!
Agreed! 😊
Question - why not just buy scrapbook cardstock? Bigger pages (12x12) and cheaper.
I like using double sided paper when making happy mail swap items and it is over $2.00 per sheet here. Also using this type of paper is thinner than many card stocks which can make goodies end up too thick and you then you have to pay crazy postage prices. 😊
I’m super excited to see that it’s back. I used to LOVE it.
Me too!!!! 😃
I never heard of this magazine before. Thank you for the lovely flip-through! I went to my local bookstore and I was truly surprised to see several versions of Flow magazine! “The Paper Lovers” one was sold out but I bought one called Food Lovers” as I loved the designs in it. They are pricey. However, if you were to buy every paper featured you would spend a fortune. The quality is great and the quantity is appropriate. Without you excellent video I would had missed this resource altogether. Thank you so much!!! 🙏🫶🕊️
Yay! 😀
Thanks for showing this flow book I have been trying to see one
It’s not a tiny investment, that’s why I thought I would share a flip through to help people decide if it’s for them. 😊
I love this book so much. I use it to write all my paper crafting ideas in. Its absolutely wonderful and worth every penny here in the USA.
Great idea, I just like chopping them up. 🤣
😂 that's a great idea too.
Clever way to use it😊
Thanks,I had never heard of it...and found a copy in my local newsagent in Sydney today after seeing this vid a few days ago...love it! I'll definitely use the contents, beautifully put together :))
Yay, enjoy crafting with it! 😊
It looks really neat ❤ i like the aesthetic of it ^^ i wouldn't have any use for these, so i won't purchase it, but i really like these kind of books ❤
Lovely! It probably won’t arrive in New Zealand before Christmas!
There is a new one on its way for all English speaking countries 😊
I only have a handful of Flow books but they've all been a treat.
They do bring joy!
I used the wrapping paper from one issue to cover a journal . It was awesome.
Great idea 😊
Thank you so much for sharing. Love Flow magazine.
Flow is a Dutch magazine founded in 2009.
It is still with the same publisher and is still made by the same people. Almost only women create the beautiful magazine. I have loved the magazine from the start, but I just can't always afford it. In the Netherlands it is published 8 times a year + 2 extra editions. You have good taste:-) maybe that's because of your name :-) we are namesakes:-)
I am sure the name has a lot to do with it! 😀
I was thrilled to see the Flow mags came back. Mine is already a pile of pieces and parts! :) Loving it! It costs $ 34.99 here in US.
Considering how weak the Aussie dollar is right now, I paid a good price. Have fun creating with it. 😊
Where did you buy it? I've looked online and cannot find a seller.
@@WWDesigns Our inflation rate is soaring through the roof, so I was so happy that a friend sent me a gift card, otherwise I wouldn't have been able to justify a magazine over food.
@@christaalbrecht67 It's at our Barnes & Nobles bookstore. If you have one nearby, go in and ask for it. Sometimes, they hide it in magazines and sometimes back in the art section.
I use these up, all the way! Still have a bit of each one! So so worth it
I still have quite a bit in my old ones. 😊
Honestly, i think this is worth the price… considering the pages are perforated. Wow thanks for sharing cause i never heard about this series. ❤❤❤
Glad you have found something new! 😊
Oh, I love this magazine. I have all the older ones. On my way to Barnes and Nobles to see what they have.
Hope you were successful! 😊
Enjoyed the flip through. TYFS! Haven’t seen it in the states yet….
Try Barnes and Noble. 😊
They kept making and distributing the magazines to the European customers I think, they just stopped doing the English version - not sure it was because of COVID as it happened prior to then. The paper lover magazines were always different to the regular FLow magazines. I hope the other FLow magazines (English edition) will make it outside the European market again too soo, if they still produce them. I did buy it when I saw it as I always lvoed the Flow magazines as well as the FLow paper lover magazines.,
Things are looking up I think! 😊
Yep, I live in the Netherlands, they never stop here. But this is where they originate so we are lucky
Thanks for this video! I’m so excited to see Flow magazine again after the pandemic. I went out and bought it after seeing your video. 😊 I’m still hoarding some of my old ones, though I have used bits and pieces from them over the years. Love Flow. It’s so worth the money.
Have fun crafting! 😊
I bought it the other day - beautiful and completely worth the money. Bought in online in NZ - $46 with postage.
That’s not a bad price as postage would not be cheap! 😊
I bought it, I love the flow book because even if I don't like, or cannot use many of the papers now, I find I use them later.
Pages you don’t love make great mixed media bases too! 😊
Thanks for this, it looks beautiful ! Its definitely worth the 29.90€ that I would need to oay gor here. I am in Germany, and their website has older editions of Flow for paper lovers for 19.95€. they ship worldwide too. I wish you many creative sessions with your new Flow magazine,n ❤
Shipping to Australia would be hefty, but it looks as though we will be getting new additions now. 😊
Thank you for this video! I'd never heard of this book before ... it's now on my list, heading over to the web site now :D
This might make gorgeous Xmas gifts. I gave lined journals and fountains pens two years ago, so….
You are welcome. 😊
@@WWDesigns Sadly the web site for flow, has no "subscription" info that I can use. So will have to keep a beedy eye out for it in a newsagency!
@TheRubeeRose you could ask them to order it in for you, worst thing they can say is no! 😊
I saw several versions at Barnes and Noble (Phoenix AZ area) on Saturday, October 25, 2024. Maybe 4 different ones. I didn't check (and should have) if the papers are perforated for easy removal? I think these would make a good as-is journal and use the tags and goodies as tip ins or added with a belly band. I would use the stickers and the cut that page out. I even think the tearing would make it pretty as well.
I have seen on their Instagram account they do have other offerings but have not seen them here in Aus 😊
Oh thank yo so much for sharing the news and the flip through! ❤❤❤❤
You are welcome! 😊
Wish I could get this in the USA. That’s incredible.
Try Barnes and Noble 😊
@@WWDesigns They don't have the paper lovers magazines, here at least. They have a kids sticker book, a mindfulness book, ect.
They have them at Barnes and noble
@@tifKh Yup. Saw it at my Barnes and Noble yesterday.
My granddad had an old collie dog that showed up on his farm one day. She became his boon companion….when they would fo out for the stock checks she would fake “bite” at the cows as well, when they got too close….was funny to see Kate do the same thing, lolol
I love mine! I think $37 is a good price for everything you get. The quality is definitely there. 😊TFS
For paper addicts it’s a fair price! 🤣
😮 G'day, aussie crafter, I've never seen or heard of this book. Thanks greatly for sharing,I will be looking for one 😀
Your channel just popped up, I'll subscribe 🎉 I'm in the southwestern suburbs of Melbourne Australia. I'm new at crafting on RUclips. Take care 🙃🐨⚘️
Yay, another Aussie! I was born in Melbourne, but do not like the cold. Welcome aboard. 😊
@@WWDesigns I don't like the cold eather, I'm a Perth girl that followed the husband and his work 🤗
So i think their paper lovers book is an annual issue and has always been this size. The magazine is different and has articles to read as well as beautiful art, but is a little less expensive, I think that they stopped issuing an English version of the magazine though. It’s published in The Netherlands, so I think tgey only publish a Dutch version now. If anyone knows different, PLEASE let me know. I used to love the magazine. I really enjoyed your flip through, thanks so much for sharing.
Honestly don’t know, but very happy to see one in Australia again. 😊
I have had these in the past. They are a delight!! How fun! Thank you for sharing.
You are welcome! 😊
Love flow bookd and magazines
I just found you. ❤ I really think Flow is worth the money and I also love Daphne’s Diary. Can we get Flow magazine in Aus. I can’t find it anywhere. It’s so great to follow a Aus. ❤
Try your local newsagents, I am so lucky that my Noosa newsagents gets lots of good magazines. Us Aussies do struggle to get the goods sometimes. Welcome aboard. 😊
I have 2 different fatties from a while ago. Time to re-up my subscription ❤ THANK YOU for letting me know 🥰
You’re welcome 😊
Well worth the money. So many types of paper goods.
Agreed 😊
I buy everything FLOW MAGAZINE. The Papers Lovers issue is awesome.
I am really hoping that we will get more editions here in Australia now! 😊
Thanks for the flip through.
You are so welcome! 😊
Tfs, love these books ❤❤❤
You are welcome! 😊
What a cool magazine. ❤
It sure is! 😊
The folding paper strips will make the wall hanging shown on the page at the beginning of those lovely paper strips. ❤
Absolutely but I don’t think I want one of those so will put them to good use as washi strips 😊
Daphne’s Diary reduced their size as well starting from issue number 2 in 2023 forward. I wonder if the resize saves them a little money somehow.
Its probably due to postage charges/sizes, but who knows!
So, excuse me. I really do not need to know about this gorgeous book. I do not need it, I say! 😂🙉🤣that maroon page threw me over. I’m in the US. So, high ho. Off I go. Lovely presentation.
Paper addicts just can't help themselves! 😂
Looks beautiful, but it’s 64.99 USD on Amazon. It may go on my Christmas wish list!
I love the magazine. Wish had an ethnic edition.
That could be an entire set. Can you imagine all the variations?👏👏👏
why
I love FLOW, but I browsed through that edition recently & opted not to buy it because it was so similar to the ones I already have. It was kind of disappointing.
I have not had a fresh copy for a few years, so its all good for me.
I went to the FLOW website and it says they are not publishing the magazine in English. Can you tell me where you heard they have resumed publishing the English version again. That is such great news although I have still not seen the Paper Lovers magazine in my area of the US. I would love to know where to find it because this time I would pay the $37. but probably not again.
My version is definitely in English. Have you tried Barnes and Noble I do believe I saw on an insta post from them that they stock them. Good luck! 😊
Flow have always done their Paper Lovers Specials, however the English language bi-monthly magazines were discontinued a couple of years ago, with no plans to start them up again. The original in Dutch is still available on their website, but I’m not sure if they deliver internationally.
Thanks for sharing. What area did you find this?
Noosa Civic 😊
It's the same one we got about 2 or 3 years ago in Belgium... :(
And in Holland. 😂
It looks as though they were ‘testing the waters’ with this and there is a new English version coming out soon. 😊
@WWDesigns well done though, I did love this one and had use of it for a looooong time too its thick! Is that how you write that? Yeah a lot of paper goodies. Maybe they just still had stock and yeah sounds logical to test the market.... could be it!
This magazine is beautiful! You could use it for a personal journal or pull it apart and use it in many different ways! I believe it’s worth $37 and I found it on Amazon in the US for $59 or $75 and it’s not worth that much! Tfs Trish
I do believe Barnes and Noble stock them in the US so would be worth checking out. Amazon is not always a bargain place to shop especially in Australia. 😊
Subscribing right now ❤
That’s an old version of Flow I bought it in UK a few years ago.
I am thinking they had stock and sent them to Australia after a few years absence to see if interest was there. 😊
Where in the US can we look for this magazine. I check in Barnes and Nobel don’t have it
I unfortunately have no idea. You could try heading to their insta account and message them your location to see if they can offer advise. 😊
Fabulous book. Not available here on Amazon In the USA
Try Barnes and Noble apparently they stock it.
That price is ridiculous anywhere.
I am sure some will agree with you 😊
$37?!? crazy!
Not really, this is about 4 times the size of a normal glossy mag which is about $12 - and you can use every single page.
I don’t think it’s bad value as you can use every page and don’t have ads that end up in the recycle bin.
$60 on Amazon! And I've seen them at $125 on Etsy. Not in my budget 🤦
I saw this the other day in a newsagency I didn’t realise it had no ads! Worth a second look 😊
@SewHealthy8 it sure is if the styles are your vibe! 😊
Reduflation ! Great example of reduflation
Happens with everything these days!
Enabler😂😂😂 just went and bought one
Enjoy! 😀
Gorgeous, but it'll have to stay on the shelf, it's 60 bucks even on Amazon in the US. ouch. (One seller is charging $75!!)
I do believe Barnes and Noble stock them, might be worth a try. 😊
It’s usually Australians who have to pay those prices, welcome to the club lol
I noticed your vlog, nonetheless l have to tell you this special is from 2020. I bought this special l believe 22,95 euros. This one is in Dutch / English version. Price is fixed on 36,95 Australian dollars on this one. I saw mine in the back the prices from different countries. Normally they are bigger, but its 2020, so Covid pandemic times. It shrunk 🤣🤣. But full full with loads of paper goodies.
When you say as a watcher for all the negative comments ; "its not worth it."
Well not every cup of tea is yours to begin with.
This is for the paper community. People love printed paper vellum stickers washi tapes die cuts postcards 😂envelopes etc etc etc.
Complain ?!? Then you are not a Flow fan. Or Daphnes Diary. They both are different and have other esthetics. One is a yearly Special, the other (last one) is a monthly magazine.
Flow Book for Paper Lovers
Each year or twice a year different topics. Like I said turn your head the other way. Or watch something else.
Not everyone likes the same things, but that is whole idea of reviews, might save people spending money and being unhappy or living their purchase. 😊
I'm really thankful for the review, even if it's not my cup of tea. That's a way for us to check different products and then we can make an informed purchase.
Do you know shipping to theUS?
No sorry, I am in Australia. 😊
Where can you buy this issue in the US?
I believe they are available from Barnes and Noble is the US. 😊
I bought it recently, my local newsagent here in the ACT had two copies, and I snaffled one immediately! I do think it is worth the money, there are hours of fun to be had with all this beautiful paper.
Yay! My newsagent only had 2 copies too! Have fun creating! 😊
How great. Now I have to decide between this "Flow" and "Somerset" magazine. They are both expensive so I can't get both.
Thx for sharing 😊😊👌☃️🌵(✷‿✷)
Ginger and Miss Gertie 🐕💕
I don’t think I have actually seen a Somerset mag, will investigate if we can get here in Australia. Thank you….the papercraft addiction is real! 🤣
I found this in Canada at chapters.
Yay, enjoy crafting! 😊
Can anyone tell me where this is available in the US?
On Instagram Flow mag said they were available at Barnes and Noble. 😊
@@WWDesigns Thank you!
It’s a beautiful magazine but I can’t justify spending $59.99 on Amazon. That’s in the USA! All the good magazines have gotten so expensive unfortunately.
Barnes&Noble has them, Sam's Club used to have them for $20
I can't believe us Aussies can actually get something cheaper. Amazon is not always a bargain place to shop.
Wow - probably well worth the money, but my budget still says "no"!!
Try Facebook market place, people often clear out magazine collections on there. 😊
I just checked.
On American:
Amazon: $99.00.
Q: Is this the rate of exchange? Approximately 50%?
Now we know.
That’s a crazy rip off price. Our Aussie dollar is weak right now so you should not be paying more than USD30!
No it’s not, because it costs EUR 25 here in NL.
@pepernoten1 $99 usd is a rip off!
PAPER LOVERS
Well they want $75 for it on eBay here in the US. Not paying that much.
Agreed! Try Barnes and Noble, they will be less than what we pay here in Aus! 😊
After seeing this, I definitely won’t be purchasing this book, not even if it was 1/3 of the price. Glad you like it, just not my cup of tea.
At least I have saved you some money 😊
Probably would not pay $36 dollars . The papers seem a bit thin. And all a bit flowery for me. The images are a bit simplistic . Thanks for sharing though
Thats fair! I do like using thinner paper for happy mail swaps to help keep goodies from getting to fat and having to pay ridiculous postage prices if envelopes are too thick.
$60 here in usa via amazon. Yikes
That’s a Flow Book not the magazine.😊
Technically you are correct. But it’s sold in the magazine section and everyone I know calls is flow mag….so it has stock. 🤣
@ I have a stack of the actual, magazines… I’m just salty about not being able to subscribe. Did you see the Food Lover Paper Book?
A lot of this is just redo of their others. Really disappointed
As I have not had a new one in 4 years, its all fresh to me, but if you have been lucky enough to get issues more recently then that could be true.
It is NOT worth the money! ALL of the “design” is an ugly version of their parent’s era, with the same lame graphics repeated ad nauseum. . . .
Must be why I like it…I am 59 🤣
