      I second the thought. I never allow my vehicle to be next to a turning big rig, on either side. Inside is worse but outside is still bad. I'll pump the brake and wait for them to finish their turn before I overtake. And I definitely do not want to be travelling next to one unless I absolutely must. I'll either hang back or overtake.

      @@Looking_for_my_place It's because for a murder they got the video from the security camera system themselves, or watched you copy it for them. That creates a chain of custody, where they know the video is unaltered. If you email a dashcam video, they have no way to know if it's pristine, or if you've edited it to change the plate numbers. That's why if you show the video from the dashcam to a cop on the scene, they can use it to assign blame and issue tickets.

    • @OddlyIncredible
      @OddlyIncredible 8 дней назад

      Actually it's more often, and more simply, a matter of laws differing for different crimes for the usability of videos as evidence. By way of relevant example, in some states a vehicular moving violation has to be witnessed by a LEO in order to "count," and videos are not legally acceptable as proof. They certainly are for insurance companies, though, and in many civil proceedings, just not for criminal prosecution.

A couple of years ago i was at a truck stop with my husband and i grabbed his flashlight and mine since they were identical (it was night time) and his bright orange reflective safety vest hopped out and helped uncluster the clusterf**k that an impatient trucker driver caused as he left.
    My grandpa was right when he said : "Its easier if you are able to talk to them on their radio" i was confused until i noticed one guy had a busted passenger side mirror and the driver side one was completely gone. Honestly i always wonder if people who drive like a**holes brake checking big rigs or cutting them off (or worse) if they ever had use a driving simulator for driving big rigs so they understood the impact/force that they have to control so nobody gets hurt or dies or causes damages, i wonder if they would still drive like a**holes.🤔 probably.😆
